Chapter 142 - Froze

"I heard you fought with someone in your school?" Jess said.

We're now cleaning our apartment since it has been so long when we last did our general cleaning.

"It's outside of the school, not in our school. And we didn't fought, we just argued because he's a special child,"

I rolled my eyes and continue what I'm doing. That annoying brat was just getting on my nerves. He always showed up whenever I was. And nothing good was coming out from his mouth. Most of them are gibberish.

"It's just the same!" Jess snapped back.

"It's not!"

"Yeah, it is! Why? Isn't he handsome?" She asked.

"Would that be matter now?" Does the face always matter here?

"Of course! I know you, you're not that grumpy if someone's good-looking approached you. So it means.."

"Let's just clean! You're being like him now." I turned my back on her. She's so noisy.

"What do you mean like him? Hey!" She shouted but I just ignored her. We can't finish what we're going if we continue to talk like that.

Me and Jessy were the only one's here. She's in charge of our rooms and I'll take care at the kitchen and the living room. Gia was kind of late since she needs to take care of something this early.

That brat is just so lucky.

"Hey! Your panty fell off the bowl of your bathroom! Come and check, I feel so sorry for it," She laughed.

"You brat,"

I clenched my teeth and immediately went inside my bathroom. Oh gosh! I saw my undies inside it. It was really fell in it and It was frustrating to see.

Should I just throw it?

"Just wash it up! Don't try to throw it!"

I heard her giggles behind me and I'm sure she's enjoying this.

"I just vomit earlier, damn." I took it off and placed it on the tile floor.

I didn't want to place it on the sink, I looked so gross. Oh my god.

"You're such a picker! Don't just watch it, you have to clean it!"

"This is all your fault!" I shouted.

Gosh. This only added to our work. And this great Jessy did it.

"I'm sorry I'm late. Did you left some work for me?" Gia arrived as soon as we headed on the living room.

"Uh, yeah. You timing was great, we didn't get to clean everything yet," Jessy grinned.

"Oh. Right." Gia's face looked disappointed.

I'm sure she's hoping that we're done. But unfortunately, we're not.

We divided the work into three, Jessy was now on the bathrooms and Gia was in charge of the bedrooms and stockroom while I'll be the one to clean the living room and kitchen.

I bet who's going to cook and wash the dishes later.

"Let's just order some food. Besides, it's your sem break Raine. We didn't have to worry wasting you time today." Jessy winked at me.

"That's right! Let's go out for a drink later." Gia interjects.

What happened to this brat? Why is she suddenly being an alcoholic? I can't help but to raised my brow at her.

"Did you tell it to Sam? I know, that bitch also loves partying,"

They both laughed and Gia called Sam. I think they're going to invite her over here. My best friend is a bit busy these days and I think she doesn't have time for this.

"Sam is going to the party, yeah!" Gia and Jessy looked so glad.

"Party again? I bet your livers were now roasted," I rolled my eyes.

"This kill joy bitch! You need to learn how to party so you would get to enjoy it now. You didn't know that you might find the right man for you there.."

They both grinned. If only they know. I'm still madly in love with that man. I don't know how to get over him.

"I'm not planning to date someone after this. I can't undergo another heartbreak again." I shook my head.

"You can get through this my friend.." They both tapped my back.

After that, we heard a door bell and I was about to opened when Sam immediately entered the room. She's wearing her casual clothes now and her hair was tied in a bun.

I was actually surprised to see her like that. I thought she's busy and I thought she would refused this.

"Ah. I wanted to tell you guys that I'm going to throw a party this weekend." She said.

"For what?" Jessy asked.

It's not new to me anymore because it has been awhile since she opened own bar and her restaurant.

I'm pretty sure that this has to do with her new business again.

"It's my coffee shop's grand opening! My few friends are only invited and you don't have to worry about that," She hugged me behind.

"I'm sweating!"

"That's fine!" She chuckled.

"What do you want to eat guys?" Jessy was now busy tapping her phone.

Thank goodness we're now done and so I can finally take a shower. I think I'm sweating too much for cleaning the kitchen.

"Just order some light food for Raine, please. She can't be full right now, she might throw out what she eat again." Sam reminded in a softest tone.

"Oh. You're right! What can you recommend, then?" Gia asked.

"Let's just buy her vegetables and a bit of meat. We can't give her rice and pasta since it's heavy in the stomach."

I just watch them decide for my meal today since they won't let me choose whatever I want. Especially, Sam..

She's always worried about me. I wanted to tell her to stop because she might neglect her job just by doing this, but I know it'll all go to waste. She'll still do what she wants and that's her.

"I also bumped with you ex earlier. He seemed unhealthy, huh?" I was surprised when she said that.

I mean, since the day we broke up. She didn't tell me how things are going with Noah. She's just there by my side and helping me get through with it.

"SAM!" Gia shouted.

"What?"

"Can't you just say it later? We're going to eat and Raine can't lose her appetite for this!"

I swallowed hard for that. I know where their worry are coming from. It's been a few months since we broke up and my condition doesn't get any better. I still experienced the same attack and I think I wouldn't be able to get through this over a year.

I'm so tired and I want to be okay as much as I wanted. I wanted my feelings to be gone and move forward with my life but.. I didn't know that moving on was this hard..

I almost give up before.. I thought that forgetting about it won't affect me if we get back together but I was wrong. Sam was also there to stop me from coming to his place since I'm also drunk that day.

I never drink hard liquors but since that day, I lost myself.. And that pain, brought me here..

"Did you went to see your doctor yesterday? I forgot to ask you that. I'm sorry I didn't get to be with you, work was just--"

"Don't mind it, Sam. I can take care of myself," I smiled.

She didn't speak after that, but instead she just stared at me while biting her lips. I know she's not comfortable when she do this.

"I said, don't mind it. Stop being so guilty. The doctor said that nothing changed with my condition, but I'm still relieved that it didn't worsened."

The doctor was just keep reminding me to take my medicine in an exact time and do a psychological therapy about this.

I can't afford it anymore that's why I didn't tell it to my friends. I know they would spend their money on it once they knew about it and I didn't want that.

"Are you feeling better right now? Just tell us what you feel, Raine. You know we're the only one's who can take care of each other now.."

"I know. That's why I'm telling you this so you could know.." I bit my lower lip.

We headed to the bar after that. My friends are so excited to go there and their outfits were just so exposed.

I'm not used to Gia's attitude tonight. She's kind of wild, I didn't know what she's up to since she didn't speak about her problems. She always keep it to herself so we can't share her burden with her.

I wanted to be there for her too but she's creating her own fences. It's so disappointing but I'll have to understand her.

"Gia! Where's your attorney? Is he here tonight?" I heard Jessy asked as soon we seated on the couch.

We managed to find our table now.

"I don't know and I don't care! Stop addressing him as my attorney. It's kind of annoying!" She closed her mouth.

"Of course, I will!" Jessy smirked and started to go to the dance floor.

We watched her dance like crazy, I heard Vin was still hitting on her but this girl was too hard to get. She told us that she didn't want to have a commitment first because she's still enjoying her single life and we understand that.

Staying single won't kill you after all.

I roamed around to see the people who's inside the bar. I was kind of used to it since in the past few months, every time my friends are going out they're asking me to go with them and I had no choice but to agree.

I needed to take care of them after drinking to much which result my life into a hell.

These brats.

I wanted to laugh when after a few minutes that I didn't saw Jessy, she's been swaying her body while walking like a zombie. Her eyes are closed while her head keeps shaking.

"I think I saw your ex Raine.." She said as soon as she reached our table.

The smile on my face suddenly faded. Of all the bar here at the Washington, why must it be here? Why would he go here?!

"W-what?"
