Michael had finally arrived home after Amanda picked him up with his car.
He was exhausted as he slumped down on his sofa. He wasn't exhausted because of the jogging or the fight, but because of Greg's personality like a buzzing fly that wouldn't shut up or go away unless you either slap it or go away yourself, it was absolutely tiring for Michael who is not used to people like Greg.
More like it was the first time he was meeting someone like Greg!
Michael couldn't even count how many times he thought of killing him to shut him up!
"That Greg is one chatterbox, isn't he?" said Amanda as she walked past behind him and went to the kitchen along with the groceries they had bought along the way.
"He is, just thinking about it makes my head hurt" replied Michael with a laugh.
Amanda smiled, then she remembered something that she had almost forgotten and reminded Michael, "Don't forget to pick up Terry and Cruz tomorrow, alright?"
"Who!?"
Michael's eyebrows jumped in confusion because he doesn't remember knowing anyone that goes by those two names.
Amanda rolled her eyes and said, "Eunice can't adopt either one of the two puppies you rescued. So I decided to adopt them instead. You're not angry at me for deciding on that by myself, right?"
Baffled, Michael turned his head to the side and said, "No~ but seriously, Terry and Cruz? You seriously named them...Terry and Cruz? Isn't that the name of the body building dude in that commercial?"
Amanda laughed while washing the vegetables through running water saying, "Yeah~! Don't you think it's pretty catchy and easy to remember? Anyway, get your as* up and take a shower, then help me with dinner"
"Yeah, I guess" replied Michael as he slowly stood up, followed by him murmuring to himself, "But no one names their pets, Terry and Cruz, like what the f*ck? Jack and Jill would have been better if you wanted an easy to remember name"
Meanwhile, somewhere In Northern Rica Principality.
"Father! Are we really letting that slut go scot free? If she discovers that thing, we'd be doomed!"
Jin, who Amanda had not seen for a long time since the attempted kidnapping of her, and had fully recovered from the beating he took, was yelling at his father, Senator Reeves with vexation on his face.
His face was burning with hatred especially when he remembered the day he received humiliation from the hands of Michael.
"That bastard too! I want to kill him! Kill him!" Jin yelled in a crazed manner, and the look on his face would have been enough to send him to a mental institute.
His father just ignored his maniacal outburst and continued calmly drinking his tea while reading the newspaper in his hands.
"Father!"
Noticing that his father wasn't really listening to him, Jin couldn't help but anxiously shout at him to get his attention.
"Shut up, do you think I'm not doing anything?" His father just calmly replied, followed by another sip of his tea.
Jin's face twitched at the sight of that as he felt that his father was being too carefree. After all, even though he's brash and hot headed in his actions, he had already realized that Michael seems to have someone behind him when they tried to do something to him in the dark, and even until now, they still haven't heard from those assassins that he had sent to kill him.
Unfortunately for him, he didn't know that they had already ceased to exist, either by the hands of Michael or from Randy and the others.
After all, only a dumbas* would be bold enough to snoop around the place where multiple dangerous individuals live.
Even the government, who had long known about them, could only turn a blind eye to them.
After all, even though they are people who are in the list of the most wanted people in the world. Their presence in the country could also be considered a hidden asset, as their presence could make dangerous people, especially terrorist organizations, to tread lightly in their presence.
This is the reason why Michael wasn't worried about them when they decided to migrate in the Principality, as even he was once sheltered by a country in his previous life.
For curiosity's sake, the government had learned about their presence in the country when they were applying for citizenship with their real names, which were bold of them.
"Father…"
Ring~! Ring~! Ring~!
Jin wanted to say something, when the sound of the mobile phone lying on the table suddenly rang, interrupting him.
Jin's father picked up the phone while looking at him saying, "Now, shut up and let me deal with it"
With that, he answered the phone call and said, "This is Senator Reeves speaking"
"..."
The call connected, but there was silence for a couple of seconds as the only thing that Senator Reeves could hear was the sound of calm breathing from the other side of the call.
He didn't get impatient as he knew that the person calling is very capable, but a little eccentric and weird at the same time.
"It's done, the department would send someone to shut that place down" said an elderly voice from the other side of the call.
"..."
And there was a silence again following that, and Senator Reeves just continued waiting while Jin looked anxious as he continuously gulped down his saliva.
"Are you sure you don't really want to give her to me?" said the speaker from the other side after a few seconds of silence.
Hearing that, Senator Reeves couldn't help but smile and gave a laugh as he replied, "You're free to go and abduct her, but don't say I didn't warn you"
The person on the other side just gave a smirk and didn't say anything and just hung up the call.
Seeing that it was over, Jin hurriedly asked, "Father, what was that about?"
With a laugh, Senator Reeves looked at this son and said, "Didn't you ask why I wasn't doing anything until now? Well, this is it. I asked someone a favor to shut her place down"
Confused, Jin hastily said, "Huh? Couldn't we have done that ourselves? Why would we ask someone a favor for something as simple as that? And isn't that useless? She could just decide live off with her inheritance if she found out it was our doing"
His father glared at him and said, "Do you think I didn't know that? This is just a warning to her, I don't want her to think that just because we had been silent until now, that it's over between us! And if that old bastard really manages to get her in his hands, then that's good as it would be easier to get what we want from her, but if he doesn't and instead invites trouble to himself, then it would still be our win as we can finally replace that old geezer with one of our own"
"Let's just hope that everything goes according to plan, and that those bastards wouldn't notice what we are doing and our purpose behind it"
'But will it really? Even the government is being wary of them. Central City is practically their backyard. I hope that whoever called father is reliable, or we'd truly get ourselves into hot water if everything goes south'
Jin didn't say anything and kept his own thoughts to himself.
