While running through the rocky road that leads up to the mountain, Michael suddenly move from left to right, like the Z-Shake from TKA, while two arrows swish past his head, and struck the ground in front of him, leaving two bloodlines on both sides of his cheeks.
The mouse and cat game continued for another ten minutes, as they traverse through the rocky terrain of the mountain, and the game was so realistic that they even passed by some pile of bones, either from humans or monsters alike.
And along the way, Michael also received multiple attacks from the people chasing after him, especially from Solitary Tempest, as her every attack has fifty percent chance of hitting her target, while the others don't even come close to ten percent.
A few moments later, Michael surprisingly arrived before a wide clearing, full of flora and...monsters.
Trolls! With stature as high as three meters or maybe even more!
[Mountain Troll]
Level: ???
Health: ??? / ???
The trolls looks like an upgraded version of a green goblin, but the only difference is that they have a pair of small horns on their heads, and their backs are full of small and disgusting hills on their skin, like a frog would, and they are very stout, just imagine a very skinny goblin that only ate and ate everyday and never worked out for a few months!
While armed with huge clubs half their size, probably made from the combination of wood and some kind of a rocky mineral.
In fact, this is also part of Dosier Mountain, but this place that he had gotten himself into is in the inner section of the mountain range, and the place before him is a high level map! If the Forest of Despair is Level 10, then this place is at least around Level 5 or 6 in danger level!
He wouldn't have minded the danger, but he can't even see any good place to hide himself to, unlike in Forest of Despair, where even the youngest tree is already three hundred years old!
It means that they are so big, that an adult man would look like an ant.
ROAR!
Suddenly, one of the trolls turned his head towards the direction of Michael, and immediately gave a roar when it saw him, as its eyes burned with excitement, like someone who had just discovered something delicious to eat!
The troll immediately rumbled towards Michael like a truck, producing muffled sounds for every step it took while leaving crater like cracks on the ground with how heavy the monster is.
"Shit!" Michael cursed as he immediately turned back and ran towards the direction of where he came from, and it was also at that time that Amanda and the rest just turned from a corner and spotted Michael and a huge troll chasing behind him.
And of course, they also heard the roar earlier, but they just expected that Michael might have encountered a monsters on the way, and was currently fighting it which made most of them relieved as they could finally catch up to him.
But what they didn't expect to see was Michael running away from a huge monster, and he's even bringing it towards them, but what annoyed them the most is that huge grin he's currently wearing while looking at them!
"F*ck this asshole! Run!"
All of them quickly turned around and ran away, even Solitary Tempest was startled by the sight of the Troll, because she knew that they are monsters that they can't mess with right now.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
And now, the cat and mouse chase has once again begun, but this time, the cats who's been chasing after the mouse, have become a group of mice along with Michael, and in turn, the Troll have become the cat chasing after them, and that's after seeing some good food!
It's like a scene from the cartoon, Tom and Jerry.
And as they descended the mountain, the group of mice slowly increased in numbers as they also bumped onto the teams that was supposed to act as reinforcements, but now...they also joined the league of mice, where a Troll who's excitement is slowly increasing as more and more humans joined the pack of mice, and the one in the forefront of the group are the assassins, then the hunters, and the rest are a mix of classes relying on their own speed to escape, all of them cursing their bad luck!
ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!
The Troll roared in excitement, as it suddenly picked up in speed and one of its arms suddenly swooped down and grabbed an unfortunate player, and immediately put the player inside its mouth, and a good thing that this was just a game, or the scene would have been truly disturbing after the players' death, and that's probably the lamest way to die in Michael's eyes.
And of course, under this situation they are in, where their attention are all directed at the monster behind them. Michael took this chance to escape under the nose of everybody and appeared just fifteen meters above them.
Even Solitary Tempest who was dubbed as the Gaming Goddess, only discovered his disappearance after a few seconds.
Instead of getting angry for her inattentiveness, she actually found it interesting that he was able to escape under her watch, especially under the nose of the guild leader that hired her services who was just running beside Michael earlier.
And at the same time, she's also amazed at his audacity to pick a fight against a whole guild all alone, and people like him are few in between, and including Amanda, there are also at least seven or eight more others who has the same guts as Michael, and maybe more now that Genesis and the others are playing the game.
"Hmmp!"
Michael snorted before he started to ascend the mountain again, to look for a detour towards the part of the mountain where the weaker monsters live, and of course, it would also be near where the bandits are currently hiding.
"I didn't expect that I would meet Solitary Tempest here of all places, and even exchange blows with her"
Michael murmured to himself, and this time, without his pursuers, he managed to bypass the Mountain Troll territory with a bit of difficulty.
'And she's good, her skills are at least on par with a One Blade assassin who had just got recently promoted, but I would have like to exchange blows with her without the use of our class skills, and only rely on our skills outside the game, and only then would I be able to determine her extent of ability'
'But if this is already the level of the so called Gaming Goddess, then those so called game experts would only be considered as second rate experts in real life, maybe even weaker'
Thinking there, Michael felt a bit disappointed, but at the same time, he knows that those so called experts mostly relies on their class attributes, skills and equipment, and that he shouldn't lump them together to people like him who could kill someone without even a single remorse.
But he's still looking forward to exchanging blows with them when all of them are already high in level and with better equipment.
"I just wonder if they could fare well against Genesis and the others! Hahaha!"
Michael laughed as he jumped off a small cliff to reach the other side of the mountain.
Swoosh!
But at the same time, an arrow flew past behind him, which made Michael grin as he knew that a certain someone followed him all the way up here.
Solitary Tempest appeared at the edge of the cliff as she looked towards at the fleeing Michael who had already disappeared inside a dense grove of trees.
"Hmmp!"
She snorted, before backing away, with no intention of going after him, as she knew that Michael would have already gotten away from there, and even though a huntress would give her an advantage against Michael while inside the grove, she still knows her limits, as she knows how troublesome Michael would be, based on her observation so far, especially when their level and maybe even their equipment is not that far off in quality.
But the most important thing is that she doesn't know much about him, especially what kind of skills he has that he hasn't shown yet, but that's also goes towards her, as she didn't even get serious when both of them exchanged blows earlier.
"We'll have our chance to fight later"
"Don't even think that you could get away from me without at least giving me a fight. I'm really curious of what's the extent of your current abilities"
Solitary Tempest smiled as she slowly descended.
