Chapter 381: Almost

"You know..that only you and your friends know of my true identity, right?" said Fox after taking a photo with Michael and giving him her signature, which actually made her laugh that there would actually be a day someone would ask her for an autograph like she's some kind of a celebrity.

Michael also laughed along with her as he also wasn't expecting that he'd be doing something as ridiculous as asking for an autograph from an assassin, and a dangerous one of that!

"You know what I mean, right~?" Fox said with a smile on her face.

Michael gulped down as he's very familiar with that kind of smile that's oozing with danger, and he couldn't help but have cold sweat all over.

With a dry laugh, Michael said, "Of course..don't worry. I know"

Hearing the words she wanted to hear from him, Fox smiled meaningfully towards Michael and said, "So, when do you plan to take action?"

Taking a sip of the bottle of beer that Fox offered him, Michael replied, "I plan to observe him today. So probably the next day, and besides, I also need to make sure that the information you gave me is accurate. After all, we can't be so sure that the target would suddenly hire assassins from another organization as his hidden guards"

"..."

Then silence permeated in the air when suddenly, the door to the establishment slammed open, and two girls of different ages walked in, disrupting the silent atmosphere from earlier with the little girl's bright laughter as she called out to Fox with a smile.

"Mom, we're back!"

Michael then showed a rare warm smile as he stood up then wore his coat. He didn't say anything to Fox and just slowly made his way to the door.

Seeing Michael, Fox's eldest daughter couldn't help but stare at him as he walked past her, and she couldn't help but lightly blush when she saw him smiling at her.

'Family huh?'

Michael smiled to himself as he left the establishment, and behind him was a scene of a loving family, with the little girl telling something excitedly to her mother while the latter laughed at some parts of her story as Fox looked at her youngest lovingly.

Han-nam District, Queens Entertainment.

"Did that brat Jong Woo finally start really behaving?"

A man sitting on an office chair behind his desk asked his subordinate standing before him. The man has a rough appearance that screams of villain or gangster. He has flaming red hair that reaches to his neck in a ponytail, which complements his appearance and oozes an aura of authority.

"Yes sir. He seems very lively recently and doesn't complain anymore even when the boys are being harsh at him. And because of it, everything went well with their work during the last few days" replied the man to his boss, and like his boss, he was also curious about the reason behind Jong Woo's bright mood.

The man sitting on the chair and obviously Jong Woo's company CEO, Lee Chang Yoo, couldn't help but wear a pondering look on his face as he felt that there's something going on with Jong Woo, but he just can't place what it is.

"When they come back to the company. Instruct him to come and see me" said Lee Chang Yoo to his subordinate after pondering for a few seconds with his elbows on top of his desk.

Hurriedly bowing, the man seriously answered, "Yes hyungnim!" before leaving the office.

Lee Chang Yoo leaned back on the chair and mumbled to himself, "He's very lively lately? Hmm...I feel that there's something suspicious behind his change of mood. Could it be because those bastards are trying to poach him away and he heard of it? But I made sure to suppress the news about it so he and the others wouldn't learn of it, and no one in the company is dumb enough to disobey me if they still want to live"

Meanwhile, there's a man watching him through a binoculars a couple of buildings away from theirs.

It was Michael who arrived at the building earlier and wearing work clothes similar to engineers or window cleaners.

"So that's Lee Chang Yoo. His looks do look intimidating, enough to scare a normal person" mocked Michael, as he knows that a person who wears an innocent facade is far more dangerous because anyone would certainly drop their guard around that kind of person whose face screams of "pushover".

Following that, Lee Chang Yoo left his company and went someplace else, not knowing that there's a dangerous individual observing and following him from a distance.

"Whoa, this guy's a horny son of a gun, isn't he?" Michael couldn't help but chuckle when he saw Lee Chang Yoo entering a "massage parlor" in broad daylight.

And while on that subject, Michael couldn't help but comment on something he had learned from watching him.

"But is he really a son of one of the most dangerous gang bosses in Joseon? I didn't even see any hidden bodyguards that's protecting him from the shadows, and his bodyguards that's always around him wouldn't even be able to protect him if a professional assassin tries to kill him"

"I guess being third in the line of succession sucks, he doesn't even have a proper guard" Michael sneered as he really didn't like people like Lee Chang Yoo as it reminds him of Jin, the person that turned his world upside down in the past.

While he was talking to himself, Michael, who was watching his target from an obscure alley, slowly took out something small like a chopstick with one sharpened end and suddenly threw it behind him!

Pufft!

The thing impaled a man covered in dark clothes on his neck as he staggered forward while clutching his neck as blood oozed out from his mouth. His pair of eyes widened in shock while looking at the back of the man before him before kneeling on the ground and falling face first.

Michael then turned around as he walked towards the dying person saying, "I guess he had one decent guard, but he's dumb. Did he seriously just try to sneak up on me?"

Then he looked at the dead body before him and grimaced, "Goddammit, now I need to spend some money to get rid of this bastard"

"That Jong something better be super famous after this"

Complaining to himself, Michael called Fox for a clean up of the scene, and not even twenty minutes later, a group of people wearing worker uniforms came and quickly cleaned up the dead body and stuffed the body on the back of a truck similar to an ambulance.

Where Michael paid for their services with a gold coin.
