She was bored of shopping and mahjong, but when I mentioned visiting you, she was trembling with excitement and just ignored me outright. Don’t worry, my mother is healthy and well. She just misses you and wants to see you. She’ll come back after a few days.”

“That…alright, my filming workload is not that heavy. When she arrives, I’ll guide her around the local attractions, and there are even some spots suitable for shopping here.”

Yan Qingsi’s gaze softened. In truth, she too, missed Mrs. Yue.

Her spent time with Mrs. Yue was the most relaxing and simple. There was no need for precautions, nor did she needed to polish her apples. Their relationship grew closer naturally, like that of a family member.

Yue Tingfeng laughed: “You both spend some time together and promote your relations. This can save you some time on adapting to your in-laws in the future. Just make sure you both don’t gang up on me in the future.”

Yue Tingfeng thought of how his mother was giving him the cold shoulder every time she saw him. He suddenly realized that the scene where he gets bullied by the two of them working together was not far off, and it may very well turn into reality.
