Chapter 782 - Get Fooled by The Family of Three

Initially, Ye Jiangong did have a softened expression on his face; it darkened in a blink. Was that a f*cking apology? It was obvious that she was rubbing salt into the wound!

Ye Jiangong understood Mrs. Yue and Yue Tingfeng’s troublemaking tendencies though. It was most likely because Yan Qingsi had a grudge against the Ye family, so the mother-son pair stood adamantly by Yan Qingsi’s side, determined to go against the Ye family.

He did not overtly reveal his anger even though he was spoken to that way. After all, Ye Jiangong was an expert in this political business world. Instead, he smiled. “You’re still such an interesting person, Mrs. Yue,” he said. “No wonder you still look so good. It’s because you have a good heart.”

This old man really knows how to control himself, Yan Qingsi thought. His son became dumb, he was humiliated like this—and he’s still able to converse lightly here. Amazing.

“Miss Yan, if we really take genealogy into account I believe that you’re one of my distant relatives of the younger generation,” Ye Jiangong suddenly shifted the topic onto Yan Qingsi. “I am glad that I could find you here.”

Yan Qingsi’s lips quirked at the corners. “Thank you. I have two elders in my family—my mom and my dad. They’ve passed away though.”

A muscle near Ye Jiangong’s mouth twitched uncontrollably. Were these three really out to make him choke?

“Miss Yan, I don’t think that statement is very accurate. I heard that you and young Tingfeng are in a relationship, then… that makes Mrs. Yue your elder as well. How could you forget her?”

“What you said was correct, but… Mrs. Yue is not my elder. She’s my future mother-in-law,” Yan Qingsi said, grinning so hard her eyes narrowed into slits. “Before she becomes my mother-in-law though, she’s my friend. She’s one of my girlfriends.”

Mrs. Yue was so happy that her eyes were barely visible. She nodded her head. “That’s right. I’m her girlfriend. Why should I be her elder? There’s no fun in being an elder at all.”

Ye Jiangong’s chest rose and fell unsteadily. “I never imagined that Mrs. Yue and Miss Yan’s relationship to be this close,” he said, suppressing his anger. “You must inform me when you two get married. I’ll be sure to attend the ceremony.”

Yue Tingfeng nodded his head. “Of course. However, if you want to come, Mr. Ye, I must remind you to remain in good health. After all… the elderly may have today, but they might not have tomorrow—who knows what will happen tomorrow? Am I right, Mr. Ye?”

Ye Jiangong almost took a swipe at the b*stard with his cane. He wanted to f*cking beat these people up.

Jesus Christ, was this family of three a group of standup comedians? And he was the butt of the joke—the fool for the family of three.

Yue Tingfeng actually cursed him, saying that he might just die tomorrow. Hmph. That brat—he did not know what life was…

Ye Jiangong managed a chuckle. “Miss Yan, Young Master Yue—you two are quick in movement and even quicker with your tongue. Don’t worry. I’ve always taken good care of myself. Even if it’s just to attend your wedding ceremony, I’ll definitely hold on…”

“However, I’d like to give you some advice, young Yue—committing to such heavy matters must be considered carefully,” Ye Jiangong said, his tone changing after a pause. “You cannot be too careless. Make sure that you know of everything before the wedding. It’s always better than… being cheated on after your marriage.”

Ye Jiangong knew that Yan Qingsi had been at the club that day and everyone else would be like his son, assumed that Yan Qingsi and You Yi had some sort of affair going on. That was why he purposely said this to provoke Yue Tingfeng. Who knew that in his heart he always knew that there was no way You Yi would be together with Yan Qingsi.

The faces of Yue Tingfeng, Yan Qingsi, and Mrs. Yue darkened immediately.

Yue Tingfeng clapped a hand on Yan Qingsi’s shoulder. “I think you must have had some experience in the matter yourself, Mr. Ye, for you to say something like that,” he said. “However, rather than bothering yourself with all this, I think you should be more worried about clearing out your son’s name instead. He is associated with a prostitution ring now, isn’t he?”
