Chapter 361: Stealing

Name:Fire Mage Author:
Charles opened his eyes in the bedroom and stood up.

He then walked towards the nearby wall, zeroed his focus on the Twin Leaf, and recited an English word.

A second later, his body turned blurry and disappeared from there!

A few minutes later, two people appeared in the bedroom instead of one.

One was a female Red Human, while the other one was a white-haired old man.

"Why did you bring me here?" Oswald asked with a confused look on his face.

Meanwhile, Charles curled his lips upward and said with a smile.

"I want you to steal the Red Humans' Luck."

Upon hearing his words, Oswald raised his eyebrows and asked.

"1 month of their luck?" His voice contains a trace of confusion.

On the other hand, Charles shook his head, raised his hands, and showed six fingers.

"6 months? That would cause too much chaos, lad." Oswald paused for a moment as he recalled something and asked.

"What is the total population of this City?"

"There should be more than 8 Million." An instant response came out of Charles's mouth.

Meanwhile, Oswald's face went stiffened.

"8 Million… I never stole such a massive amount of luck in my entire life. It's going to be troublesome than I thought." He deliberated for a moment, sharpened his gaze towards Charles, and asked in suspicion.

"Your goal is their luck! You want me to cast a large miracle?"

Upon hearing the old man's words, Charles let out a deep sigh and nodded.

"Yes, you'll understand when the right time comes."

Just when Oswald was about to nod, he suddenly sensed a strange wicked aura from Charles!

The next second, he widened his eyes in surprise and asked.

"You built the wicked fire spell model as the first one? Are you not influenced by the spell model?"

Meanwhile, Charles let out a chuckle and shook his head.

"Although the spell model would influence me to walk on the path of evil, this is not a bad thing in my current situation. If I hesitate because of morale and ethics, I might lose my precious life."

Although Oswald felt confused by his words, he didn't ask any more questions and spoke.

"You are right. Hmm, if I steal six months of the Red Humans' luck, 2 percent of their population might get wiped out within the next six months. A total of 160,000 Red Humans citizens will die, and three hundred thousand will get crippled by sickness, accident, or other means. Are you sure about this?"

Charles raised his eyebrows as he heard those words and went silent.

But after some thought, he let out a deep sigh and spoke with a nod.

"Do it. There is no other choice. Moreover, I need a large-scale miracle to achieve something big. It's far bigger than evading my Destiny."

'Moreover, I need to weaken Adur's strength. To achieve that, Vipers' organization won't be enough. Although their action caused some citizens to change their belief, almost 99 % of the citizens are still worshiping Adur.' Charles muttered inwardly.

Meanwhile, Oswald nodded his head in approval and shifted his attention towards his Inner World.

The next instant, a strange power came out of his body and started to spread in all directions.

At that moment, the Rank-5 powerhouses, who were staying in the Royal Street and the Cathedral, sensed the arrival of the mysterious power and got startled.

Some cast their Defensive spell while the others used their probing spells to find out the origin.

Meanwhile, a crimson-haired man in his late 40s suddenly appeared in the sky and waved his hand.

He had a square face, hawk-like amber eyes, a sharp nose, and thin eyebrows.

Currently, he wore a grey robe and held a wooden staff in his hand.

Although he looked like a neighborhood old man, he was the ruler of this city!

He was none other than Adur!

As he waved his hand, a large amount of divine power poured out from his body and soon spread in all directions.

The divine power soon extended over the city like a net and completely covered it from the sky.

Then, the divine power released a strange yellow fire and enveloped the city.

Then, he released his wisdom power, focused his attention on a particular Red Human girl, and started analyzing the mysterious power invading her body.

No, he soon sensed that the mysterious power was invading her soul!

Although he couldn't understand what this mysterious power was, he felt a strange kind of familiarity.

'Wait! It's Divine Power!' His face turned icy cold.

"Heathen!" He roared furiously and tried to analyze the domain of the mysterious power in a hurry.

During his lifetime, he always felt superiority because of the presence of divinities in his body. But the sudden arrival of an unknown enemy caused him to get anxious and worry.

He also began to suspect the Guardian Deity's death!

Shaking his head, Adur once again shifted his attention towards the mysterious Divine power.

Unfortunately, he didn't have enough knowledge about this new power and felt clueless.

'Wait… This power seems to be absorbing something from everyone's soul.' When he was about to probe further, the mysterious power soon retracted from the young girl's soul and disappeared!

At this moment, Adur felt strange anxiety from the deepest part of his soul!

On the other hand, the other Rank-5 powerhouses in Royal District and the Cathedral also failed to identify the origin of the strange power and became confused.

No, they felt the fear of the unknown!

Meanwhile, Oswald finally finished his work and warned Charles.

"That Adur is not a normal Warlock, lad. That guy seems to have more than one divinity. Try not to confront him head-on."

Charles nodded his head and asked.

"Did he reach the realm of Legends?"

That was his most important worry. If that person had entered the realm of Legends, he knew that the chance of succeeding in this mission would drop by 90%.

"Nah. Although Adur has abnormal soul power like most Divine Path Mystics, he still has a long way to reach the peak realm."

Saying so, Oswald walked towards the right side wall and touched the Twin Leaf.

"Return."

He then muttered a word in English and disappeared from there.

Meanwhile, Charles wore a solemn expression on his face and soon took out a communication ring from his space ring.

Then, he linked his mind with the ring and activated it.

A second later, a male voice came from the other side, followed by an illusionary figure of a middle-aged man.

"Your Excellency!" Alder greeted Charles with a polite bow.

On the other hand, Charles nodded his head and spoke.

"You guys can come back now. We've more jobs to do."
