Chapter 165 - Weird Punishment

"What happened here??" The superintendent who had arrived with Liang Chao, couldn't believe his eyes. One of his officers had lost two of his fingers to his own gun. He wanted to rip into the man who had done this to one of his own, but when the superintendent saw Wang Ming's face he buried all his thoughts, instead he blamed his subordinate for being stupid.

The superintendent didn't care about anything, not even Qiao Meng. He ran to Wang Ming and released him from the cuffs, freeing his legs and arms. "Mr. Wang! Why are you here? What happened to you? Don't worry, I will mobilize all my subordinates to catch the person who did this to you!"

Wang Ming smirked. The superintendent is none other than Ran Yingjie, though last time he met him, Ran Yingjie was just an inspector, but now he's already a superintendent. They had promoted him three classes in 1 month, for most people it would take them 10 years to accomplish the same.

Wang Ming said nothing to Ran Yingjie instead just pointed at Ye Yuan who was still lying on the ground and then to Qiao Meng.

At first Ran Yingjie thought that Wang Ming accused Qiao Meng of doing this, but then there's no way Qiao Meng would do something like this, Qiao Meng's also Wang Ming's girlfriend there's no way she would do something like this. Ran Yingjie had hired a private investigator to tail Qiao Meng day and night, but when he found out Wang Ming and her is a couple, he didn't dare to have any dirty thoughts.

"Big Sister Qiao, what happened here?"

"So what you're implying is that the person who inflicted these wounds on Wang Ming is none other than Officer Ye?"

When he saw that Qiao Meng nodded, Ran Yingjie felt his head hurt. Ye Yuan is his subordinate, if he gets convicted then Ran Yingjie would also face a lot of trouble, it could seriously hurt his career. Most police officers become officers only because of their pension, if they die then at least their family will get more than enough money to live good for many years, but if they manage to live until they get their pension. They get enough to open a shop or restaurant to fund their later years.

At the police station entrance, Wang Ming signed the papers that Liang Chao had brought with him. "I'm sorry Lawyer Liang that I called you out here for nothing, just add the time to the bill."

"Don't worry, Mr. Wang! I needed to get your signature anyway, it doesn't matter if it's here or at your new shop. If you ever want to sue the police officer, please call me, I will get you a satisfactory result!"

Liang Chao wanted to stay to talk Wang Ming into suing the police officer, but since Qiao Meng's there, he decided not to. Qiao Meng's a police officer, there's no way she would let him do it.

After Liang Chao left, Qiao Meng finally gave Wang Ming a hug which hurt him. His wounds hadn't healed yet, her body was pressing down on his wounds, which made them bleed again. But seeing her tears, he said nothing. But even after a few minutes Qiao Meng still didn't release him, she even tightened her grip. Many police officers stared at them. Some even wanted to arrest Wang Ming for defiling their goddess.

But before they could act, Wang Ming grabbed Qiao Meng in his arms and ran to the nearest taxi.
