461 Rise from the Peril?

A black light flashed by the Human-Faced Toad, and all of its splinters produced white flames. Inside those flames, there were faces after faces of ghosts. Obviously, these were the Netherworld Ghost Flames.

Balls of Nine Heavens' Dragon Flames shrouded the Human Face Toad. When the Nine Heavens' Dragon Flames touched the Netherworld Ghost Flames… they seemed to be afraid of getting closer and bypassed the Netherworld Ghost Flames. The Human-Faced Toad which was surrounded by the Netherworld Ghost Flames was not harmed at all.

The Human Face Toad contracted its belly faster and faster. Jiang Yi intended to instant-shift now, but he felt a pain in his chest, spitting a mouthful of blood uncontrollably. He was alarmed as his heart was cracked with a hole as it was overloaded by the fast beating.

The Human-Faced Toad suddenly gave a roar. The black light on its body became brighter, and its small body suddenly swelled. It was increased by ten folds like a balloon being blown up. Opening its giant mouth, its scarlet tongue dashed towards Jiang Yi like a lightning. It instantly entangled Jiang Yi's body and was pulling him towards its mouth.

Trying hard to suppress the pain in his chest, Jiang Yi's eyes were as cold as ice. His other hand which was not tied up swung the Fire Dragon Sword and slashed at the Human-Faced Toad's tongue.

A clang of metal colliding with each other sounded. The Fire Dragon Sword could break iron as if it was mud and easily shatter the cold iron. However, it didn't even cause slight damage to this tongue. Instead, his arm trembled, and his hand became numb.

Is this tongue made up of ten-thousand-year-old black iron?

Jiang Yi was surprised in secret, but he didn't lose faith. The Fire Dragon Sword in his hand glowed with red light and was struck down at the giant mouth of the Human-Faced Toad in front of him.

White light glistened on his body—Jiang Yi was going to instant-shift. However, the Human Face Toad saw through his plot. Exercising its belly, the horrible sound reverberated again, hitting Jiang Yi's already injured heart. His felt excruciating pain coming from his chest. Blood was spurted out of his mouth. His instant shift was forced to be terminated.

In a blink of an eye, he was pulled into the Human-Faced Toad's giant mouth. Upon closing its mouth, Jiang Yi's view became dark. He felt like falling into a smooth river. Surrounded by reeking liquid, he drifted down the river.

This river was clearly the esophagus of the Human-Faced Toad. He was probably heading towards its belly.

After being engulfed by the monster, Jiang Yi sensed that the liquid around him was not corrosive. Instead of being anxious, he got excited in secret.

He couldn't kill this Human-Faced Toad, but if the Human-Faced Toad could only count on the Netherworld Ghost Flames, it couldn't kill him either. Thus, there was still hope for him to get out alive.
