"Well, there is some adjustment for this. Because you have Spirit Eyes as well as growing stronger, I need to adjust the speed and movement too. Of course, the reward is worth it." She said with a smile.
"...I know this is bound to happen." Alex facepalmed. "I mean, there is always something that hit me down after the previous excitement."
"There is nothing perfect. Gacha, Story, human, or even other races. You can't find everything perfectly." She gently said to him.
"I know. Well, I might be raging if it is the past me. I, either my past self or current self, am not. I have made many mistakes and might make a mistake in the future…" Alex nodded.
"Fufu… shall we move on then?"
"Sure."
The next one was the Gacha Box. The appearance looked like the 'hits the moles' game, but it filled with boxes instead of holes for the moles. The box itself was like a treasure chest, but instead of hole key, it was replaced by a card hole. It seemed Alex would need to open that with his Gacha Card.
"This is a Gacha Box. You can choose one of the chests from here and bring it out of this machine. After that, the other eight boxes would be recycled and replaced by the new nine chests. Try to look up a bit."
Alex turned his head upward and saw another chest stuck on the top of the machine.
"If you use the '3+1' function, then that chest is the '1.' Don't worry, it will come down automatically after you choose three chests." She explained.
"I see. Basically, I choose and open it with the card, right?"
"Yes."
"Do I need to choose all the chests first, or I can open it as soon as I grab one?"
"It is up to you. The system still recognizes either way, but the latter will take a bit longer."
"True enough, and it is a bit annoying to grab it again and again. It is better to grab all of them first before opening them." Ale nodded.
"Do you want to use your Gacha Cards now?" She asked.
"..." Alex contemplated a bit and shook his head. "I want to see the last two first."
"Alright. Follow me." She guided him to the last two machines. The first one was like an ATM, but from his observation, instead of taking out money, it would give him the summoning cards.
The second one was a grand white gate. The gate was like his usual Summoning Gate but without the color.
"This is the Summoning Coin. Give the machine coin, and you will get the Summoning Card." The explanation was brief since it was plain to see. She then moved to the last one. "As for this one, you put the Summoning Ticket, and they will appear from within the gate."
Alex furrowed his eyebrows, "But, what if I get Anna's and the others' cards again? Will they appear here?"
"Technically, yes. However, it will be the same person. If you get two same cards, you can combine them and raise his/her level. I think I have explained this to you, right?"
"Indeed." Alex nodded.
"Anyway, if you don't want to waste your time, then you can touch this button, and the cards will pop out of this gate without summoning them." She said while pointing at a green button on the gate.
"Alright, I understand."
"Then, should we go back to Gacha Box?"
"Sure."
Both of them came back to the fourth machine. Alex looked at her first before he started doing anything.
"Just choose whichever you want. Pluck them like picking a flower."
"Alright." Alex nodded and started walking to the machine. There was a big open hole in the machine to walk through. He then chose the first box, which was the center box, and came out of the machine.
After that, he heard a sound from his back. He was curious about the sound, so he turned back. He was startled because he saw the floor suddenly opened and the box fell down, it was then replaced by the new nine chests, and the floor closed again.
Alex looked at the system girl and asked, "I just need to pick it again, right?"
"Yes."
After her confirmation, he then put down the chest and went back inside the machine. For the second chest, he went to the farthest one on the left, and he chose the closest one to him as the third chest. The scenery was the same as the boxes were replaced each time he carried a chest out.
After taking the three boxes, Alex saw the box on the top suddenly fell down to the floor before a cushion appeared beneath it. He did not know whether his eyes played him or not, but he could see the sparkle and light illuminating the chest.
The chest was telling him, 'Look at me, here I am, and Love me!"
Alex came to the box and brought the box out too. After checking the box, he found out there was no key-hole or card-hole in this chest. Instead, he saw a screen, and '0/3' was written on it.
"This special box will automatically open after you open the other three." She explained.
Alex simply nodded his head as he went to the first box. He took out one of the Gacha Cards and put it in the card-hole.
*Clack!*
As soon as the sound entered his ears, he knew it had been opened. He then slowly opened the lid, revealing the item inside there.
Sadly, Alex could only see golden light coming from the box, and it made him perplexed.
"!!!" Not long after, he felt something from the light. The golden light suddenly discharged an item and let it float a few centimeters above the chest.
The item was a scroll. He observed the scroll carefully before taking it. "He then got a notification."
[Supreme Lightning Scroll (SR) Acquired]
Alex frowned. He checked the Scroll a bit and found out it was a Lightning Element Art. He did not have any use for it. He murmured, "Should I give it to Elder Charya… Maybe not. I don't mind if I give her the Martial Arts from Zwaka's place, but I don't feel I can give her this."
The system girl did not say anything since he wanted Alex to decide all of this. Even though she was his former wife, in this life, she had yet to achieve anything other than becoming his support as a system. So, it would not be good to interfere with his decision making. Besides, she wanted Alex to grow with every decision and the experience he had.
Since Alex decided not to give it to Charya, he just stored it in the Inventory. He then moved to the second box, which he opened with the second card. The process was the same as the first one. However, the item he got this time was a stick… No, a staff. However, there was a shiny green jade on top of the staff, so it might be a magic staff or something. Sadly, it was no use of him in this world.
[Greeny Magic Staff (R) Acquired]
However, he felt the shiny green gem was a bit similar like he had seen it somewhere. He contemplated for a while but to no avail.
"What are you thinking?"
"I think I have seen this gem somewhere…"
"This is a Wind Gem that your Senior Sister… Ahem, your unofficial disciple gets back in Zwaka's place."
"Ah!" Alex finally remembered. It was a gem that could enhance one's wind element. He thought it might be good to give it to Putri after he met her again, but the system immediately told him off.
"One person can only use it once in their life. There are a few more elemental gems like this for Fire Element, Water Element, and so on. However, this gem is also not overpowered and can be used many times.
"If not, someone's element will become stronger and might even defeat a Pure Element like yours. So, you can't give it to her since it has no use. Well, you can just store it for the time being." She said.
"Wait, I can take the gem off?" Alex just thought of that, despite thinking about giving the gem to Putri.
"... Check your Forging Master memory." She facepalmed and sighed.
Alex pondered for a while, recalling all the Forging Memory inside his head. He was surprised by what he found. "There are numerous kinds of possibilities with this… First, I can scrap the gem out of the staff and use it as it is. As for the other usage… it seems I can take out the gem before fusing it with the staff itself. This will create an Elemental Sword.
"Still, with my meager experience in Forging that is close to non-existent compared to my Alchemy or Array Mastery. The latter is out of option, so even if I want to use it, it will be the second one.
"Maybe, I can take it out and sell it in the Northern Continent. This gem is a bit rare to begin with according to the knowledge, so it should be able to fetch up a good price on there."
He then walked to the third one. This time, it was another scroll.
[Space Seal Technique (UR) Acquired]
"Space?" Alex was startled when he saw the name. He immediately opened the scroll and found out it was just a Space Seal Technique… literally. The technique was meant to seal a Space Element user to use any spatial technique at a certain range. Basically, it was the same thing as the one that Zhou Kingdom used to seal his Space Element back then. However, this time, it was a technique while Zhou Kingdom used an Artifact.
Alex still took it happily though. If he knew this technique, he should be able to come up with a plan in case someone sealed his Space Element. At the very least, he would understand a certain level of Space Element understanding.
He then looked at the last box, which had been opened for quite a while. In fact, it was opened at the same time Alex opened the third box. This time, it was not a scroll, but a book. Alex twitched his eyebrows as he was wondering why he got so many techniques at once.
[Spirit Step (UR) Acquired]
Alex opened his eyes wide when he saw the name. It seemed to be a movement technique, so he immediately opened the book and read it.
The Spirit Step was a special Saint Tier Martial Arts emphasized in the control of energy. By controlling the energy on the feet, the opponent would feel an overbearing pressure coming from the user's feet. This pressure could not be underestimated as it could pressure others to the point it was restricting the other's movement. This was only the first step.
As for the second step, it was the exact opposite of the first step. It did not control the energy inside the foot but manipulated the energy around the foot to come inside the user's body for a short time. This time, it gave the user a surge of strength for a short period of time.
He knew the second one was like how he used his Immovable Step. As for how much power it would give him, he would need to check it later. It was coming from a Saint Tier Martial Art, so it should not be so low as the Sky Movement. As for the First Step, it was very useful to have the power to lower your opponents' strength even a bit.
He thought his luck was a bit low at the moment, but after receiving this, that thought had disappeared.
Unbeknownst to him, the system girl only smiled. She was happy for him to get this technique since this movement technique was very important to him in the future.
