[Mission: Acquire 6 Teleportation Crystals. (1/6)
Reward: Optimizing Inventory \u0026 Shared Inventory
Description: Just leave this world.]
[Mission #1: Acquire Elven Teleportation Crystal.
Reward: 5 Premium Tickets
Description: This mission will continue until you acquire all the six crystals.]
Alex was flying toward the Kingdom of Flores when these two missions suddenly appeared in front of him.
"System?"
[The first mission is a grand mission, and you can see the reward itself. The most effective one is the Shared Inventory. This will allow you to share your Inventory with all of your summoned spirits. As for the other mission, it is a continuous mission. The reward will be the same.]
"I see. Well, it is good since I can get a total of 25 Premium Tickets with this chain mission alone if I need to get all the six crystals."
[Yes. May fortune be with you, Host.]
Alex smiled as he sped up a bit to reach the kingdom.
It turned out that he had underestimated their distance. Even with his current speed, he needed more than two days before reaching the Flores Kingdom.
He was a bit intrigued by this kingdom since this would be a kingdom of Mage, not cultivator. He wanted to see if there was any different than the kingdom he had visited before.
He took out the priest token he received from August. He said because he did not have any identity, the people would be suspicious, especially from the guards.
The guards immediately nodded their heads as they saw the token, so Alex came inside the kingdom. Surprisingly, there were no nobles in this kingdom as they were replaced by the guilds. The guilds would become the 'Nobles' that took care of their territory or their city.
After coming inside their city, Alex was completely dumbfounded. There was no difference than Acacia Kingdom. The housing was made of bricks and stones, the stalls on the side of the street, and so on. This kingdom completely betrayed his expectations.
He then started searching for mage guilds by asking the people. He did not really care which guild he joined as long as he got the pass to travel between continents. That was why when he asked about the direction, he only asked, "Where is the nearest Mage Guild?"
After around half an hour, he finally arrived at one of the four major guilds that were said to have all branches in all continents, Empyrean Guild.
He wanted to enter, but he suddenly felt a presence inside the door, and it was coming toward him. Alex immediately activated his Spirit Eyes and was surprised to see a person flying.
*Bam!*
The door was slammed open by that person, and Alex immediately dodged to the side. The person was a middle-aged man with an afro. He looked at the person who threw him while smiling. "You bastard. Do you want a go?"
"Hehe… I have been training, and I won't lose to you this time." The one who said that was a young man with spiky black hair. His fist then changed into metal while the middle-aged man took out a giant doll.
"!!!" Before they started, they noticed Alex's presence and stopped.
Alex looked at these two and furrowed his eyebrows. The two were only 8-Star Martial Lords, and he felt he could stop both of them at the same time. However, he was wondering if he should do that. He needed to come inside after all to register.
"New Recruit?" The young man looked at Alex with great interest.
"Do you want to join our Guild?" The middle-aged man suddenly came to him and asked.
"... Yeah." Alex paused a little before he answered.
"I see. Then, please come inside." The middle-aged man and the young man suddenly became friendly again and pushed him inside with a big smile.
This guild had a restaurant inside of them, and many people were eating or drinking wine. He thought they must be the members of this guild. However, Alex indeed saw two Martial Kings inside of the guild.
They dragged him to a woman that seemed to be the receptionist. Alex was a bit surprised to see the receptionist was one of the Martial King he saw. She had long black hair and black eyes. Surprisingly, she wore a white dress that complemented her black hair. She looked very friendly.
"Welcome. I am the receptionist of this guild, my name is Ruby. Are you a new recruit? Do you want to join our guild?"
"Yeah." Alex nodded.
"I see. There is a test before you can join our guild, which is to test your potential. There are two tests you can choose. First, you can measure your talent by pouring your Spiritual Energy inside the magical ball. This will measure your talent and element."
Alex's expression darkened the moment he heard the first option. It would be bad if he used that magical ball as they would find out he had two elements. As for Talents, he never cared about talent. "What is the second option?"
"Fight one of us and prove your talent. However, we do need to measure your age."
"How?"
"Just drop one of your blood inside this card." She took out a card like his status card. "This card can measure your age with just a drop of your blood. If your age is suited and you pass the test, I will then proceed with all the paperwork, and you will officially be one of us."
Alex nodded, but before he cut his finger, Alex asked, "By the way, who do I need to fight?
"It will depend on your age. If you are 50 years old, then I will ask someone who is around your age to fight you. There is no win or defeat, as long as you prove your talent enough, it will be alright." Ruby explained.
Alexx then cut his finger and let the blood drop to the card. He had seen inside the card that there was a mini array used to measure one's age, so he did not mind.
The blood then absorbed and revealed Alex's real age by writing it on the card. Alex's age turned out to be 23.
Ruby dropped the card out of reflex as she was amazed by Alex's real age. "Ah, I am sorry."
She then grabbed back the card and stared at Alex with a weird expression.
"Gahaha, He is 23 years old. Since I am still 32 years old, not older than him by ten years, I will guide this newbie here." The young man that was fighting earlier laughed.
Ruby made a troubled expression before she said. "It seems you don't need to prove your talents…"
"What? Ruby? Don't worry, he is only 23 years old, so I can."
"That's not the problem," Ruby said to the young man.
"I don't care. I will test him right here since this is going to be a short one." The young man said. "I am Seth, a Metal Mega. Here I go!"
Seth suddenly leaped toward him while turning his fist into a metal.
The battle turned into something unexpected. Alex simply clenched his fist and struck Seth's fist. This was not a gesture he liked, so Alex wanted to hit him hard.
He was astonished to see Seth had twenty dragon strength in his fist. The same strength of him. Although it was coming from his metal element, it still amazed him. Sadly, his opponent was Alex, and his twenty dragon strength was not comparable to Alex's thirty dragon strength.
*Bam!*
The conclusion was too sudden as Seth crashed to the wall. The others were also taken aback by what they saw. Seth was one of their strongest younger generations, and to see him losing to someone younger than him, it completely blew their mind.
Ruby let out a long sigh before she said to Alex. "I apologize for his behavior. Because he is one of our top younger generations, he somehow became too proud."
"Mhm…" Alex nodded. "By the way, what to do with the wall? Do I need to pay for it? Or I can't join this guild because I did that?"
"No no. You don't need to pay for it as Seth will be the one paying it. I can vouch for you as he attacked you first. As for the joining matter, I could not be happier to welcome a strong mage like you, albeit it is such a shame not to see your magic." Ruby said while taking the card with her. "I will complete the registration process first, so please wait a little bit."
Alex nodded.
"Damn, you bastard!" Seth came out of the wall and charged at Ale again. "I still can fight."
"Seth, that is enough." Before Seth could even reach Alex, Ruby suddenly appeared above him and slammed his head inside the ground. "Apologize to him right now. If not, I will be angry."
Not knowing the reason behind it, Alex looked at the people that started sweating when Ruby said that. They even started whispering it to Seth.
"Seth, just apologize."
"That's right. Don't make her mad."
"We are screwed later."
He was perplexed about why they were afraid of someone this friendly. However, he was a bit satisfied to taste another atmosphere since this was not a sect where strength reigned supreme. The people here seemed more friendly than he thought.
"Ugh, I am sorry." Even Seth could only apologize while his head was inside the floor.
"Well, it is normal for you to be defeated by him. After all, he is a Tier 5 Mage."
"Wha-! What!" Not only Seth, but the entire guild shook by the astonishment.
"Yo, Seth. You need to grow up a little bit." Suddenly, someone from the second floor looked at him.
Alex furrowed his eyebrows to see the other Martial King beside Ruby. He did not have a business with him, so he only nodded his head before waiting for Ruby.
"Leo. What do you mean?! I can become a Tier 5 mage in two or three years, and I will beat you at that time!" Seth shouted.
"Right Right, just keep dreaming."
She came back and asked. "I need your name to finish the registration."
"Alexander Sirius."
"Alright. I will finish it in another fifteen minutes. Do you want wine or something while waiting? By the way, you can ignore both of them." She said.
Alex merely shook his head, telling her he did not need it.
They continued to argue while Alex patiently waited for his card. According to the priest, as long as he had an ID card from the guild, he would be fine if he wanted to travel.
Not long after that, Ruby came back and presented him with the same card that had his blood.
Name: Alexander Sirius
Tier: 5
Age: 23
Guild: Empyrean Guild
Status: Bronze Mage (0/2500)
"Here is your card." Ruby handed the card with a smile. "If you have something to ask, you can ask me. If you want to search for a mission, then you can go to that board and search which one suits you the most. And you need to show me the mission so that I can record it.
"The payment will come from the Client, so if you finish a mission, this guild will only update your point."
"And what about this point?"
"I am sure you have heard about Bronze Mage, Silver Mage, and Gold Mage, right?"
Alex nodded.
"Each mission will have a point as a reward, which will be updated as long as you finish a mission. If you accumulate 2500 points, you can ask me to upgrade you to Silver Mage."
"Then, do I need to be a Gold Mage to get a pass to travel to another continent?"
Ruby was intrigued by this question. "That's right. You need to be a Tier 5 mage to become a Gold Mage and completed a certain number of missions to accumulate these many points. This is to assure people that you are an experienced and powerful mage and won't do anything stupid in their territory."
"I see. I will take a look at the mission then." He nodded.
"Sure. You can only take one mission at a time."
