That night, all the people had come back to their inn. They decided to leave tomorrow morning as Alex also needed to inform Anya about this.
Meanwhile, in another inn, the princess just came out of the bath. She somehow felt very happy after that debate with Alex.
The maid that was with her a few months ago came to her. She was also present in the debate with Alex as Shelka's bodyguard.
"Your Highness, you seem very happy."
"You can tell?" She smiled.
"You were humming this whole time. Why did your highness agree with his conditions? Although his majesty wanted your highness to gauge his ability, I thought we should not agree with the conditions." She said worriedly.
"Fufu… You already knew about his age, right?"
"Yes. I was the one who investigated it after all. Although it is unprecedented to have a Tier 5 mage that young, we still don't know about his ability or identity." The maid suddenly noticed something. "Don't tell me… Your highness wants him to come to the royal palace just to kill him? If we kill him in the human kingdom, they would think we are cutting their opportunity to raise and the other races might also not like it.
"So, if we invite him to the palace, we can just fabricate him and kill him. This way, no one would judge us. As expected of you, your highness. Such quick thinking."
Shelka smirked as she looked at the moon. "You could not be more off mark than this."
"Your highness?" The maid tilted her head in confusion.
"There is a certain history that is very famous." Shelka closed her eyes. "And he might be the person in the prophecy."
"You mean the Supreme?" The maid frowned. "But that is only an urban legend."
"Then, why don't you recite it right now?" Shelka smiled.
"When darkness falls upon the land,
"The supreme's blood will restore life once more.
"In accordance with the ancient pact,
"When the six big races are gathered,
"The sphere that leads the light will awaken.
"The supreme will return."
Shelka opened her eyes. "That's right. After that war in the past, our world has been basking the darkness. After a few millennia pass, we have almost regained the power that we had in the past. If he is the real one, he will be able to gather all the six crystals and open the portal.
"I am sure of this because it is the Human Crystal that is nowhere to be seen. His mysterious identity and the timing are more than enough. That is what it means by the sphere that leads the light will awaken… the human crystal must be in his hand.
"The six races will gather once again and shall greet the supreme. Fufu, why don't we bet on this? Whether he wants to meet my father because he wants to challenge the trial or not."
"!!!" Her body shook.
"Your Highness is wise." She immediately bowed. "But it might be impossible for the human race to gather with the other races as the Supreme has abandoned them because of their foolishness."
"What do you think this mission is for? As I said, this is only for formality. Why do you think I want both him and her to represent humanity? Do you think I need them for this mission? Do you think my royal father will make us do this if I did not tell him?"
Her jaw dropped to the ground. It was true that if they did not tell anything about Alex and Lilian, the royal family would not know.
Shelka had been manipulating this situation as well as her father to give her that mission. All of it just to make Lilian represent the Human Race and fulfill the prophecy. After that, the supreme shall get all the crystals and open the portal again. In other words, all of this is in her hands all along. She sweatdropped as she thought, 'What a woman…'
"Your Highness is wise. His majesty must be happy with this."
"Fufu… As I said, you can't be more off mark." She smirked.
"What do you mean, your highness?"
"I will tell you this as you are my maid from when I was a child." She grinned. "I did not do this for the Elven Race. All of this is for me. Fufu, I am wondering what kind of child will I have with him?"
The maid frowned upon hearing that. "Your Highness, having a child with another race is a taboo in our race."
She could not hold the excitement in her heart and grin. "Fufu… If he is really the Supreme in the prophecy, who dares to voice it? Do you think our custom is even stronger than the Supreme? No. I am even sure the other races would do that as well, especially the Human Race.
"That's why I am even more like him when he decides to separate with the Human Race. This way, even when their royal family knew about it, they could not justify such an action. They won't be able to claim he is their Supreme or the Hero of the Human.
"And because of our geographical issue, I will be the first one who bears his child." She made a big smile, but the smile was somewhat dark.
The maid was trembling. She was wondering how far she had planned all of this. But she also noticed another thing. "But all of it is still an empty dream if he turns out to be a normal person, not the Supreme."
"Of course. At that time, We can do anything we want with him." Shelka then placed her hand on the maid's cheek. "How is it? Do you also want to bear his child? Since you have been serving me all this time, I can consider this as a reward."
"Your highness…" The maid looked away with a tinge red on her cheek.
...
Meanwhile,
Alex was telling Anya the whole story about this.
"This is not certainly a bad plan." She said. "If we can get their crystal as well as the pass to travel to other continents, then our journey will be smooth. Where do you want to go first after we get the Elven Crystal?"
"I don't know." Alex shook his head. "Although I have yet to decide where, I know I will leave the Dragon Race and Naga Race for the last. If the trial the priest said turned out to be true, I am not strong enough to fight a Martial Emperor. As for the Naga Race, they are the strongest race, I don't think we should challenge the strongest first."
"Indeed. But there might be a different possibility for the Naga Race… if you get their crystal, they might be able to help you travel to the other continents. Still, since they are the strongest ones, they should be more arrogant. We have many unknown factors, so it might be better if we leave them last."
Alex nodded.
"That leaves the Angel Race and Phoenix Race. I feel Phoenix Race would be the better choice. If they are like Kyle, then it means you are invincible. The priest said the trial itself is related to Fire. It should be easy for your Pure Fire." Anya said.
"Hmm… yeah. Even so, we will ask Nano to investigate it first." Alex said.
"Indeed. This is an unknown world, so it will be best to be more careful." She nodded. "By the way, I have gotten information from Anna. They have established a little group called Spirit Nest. Although they are not famous, they are growing by leaps and bounds.
"This is because they are cooperating with the Blackwade Clan. They are selling all the materials they get from the monsters, however I have them to only sell the materials for Forging and the like.
"As for Alchemy and Array items, they will store it, so you can use them anytime when you go back."
"I see. With how powerful and efficient they are, they should get a good amount of Spirit Stones there." Alex nodded. "Thank you."
"Yes." She nodded. "The second report is about Putri, Song Yu, and Letizia. Although she was leaving the continent first, it seemed she had joined hands with Song Yu and according to her progress, she would become a peak Martial Lord in less than half a year.
"As for your senior sister, she has become a Martial King by now. There are two influences that are harassing them at the moment, but they can withstand for the time being. Even Anna and the others just let it pass as the situation is still calm.
"Letizia… is a bit troublesome. We have indeed found Honda Sana bringing her to the Northern Continent. However, we lost her after that. Nicole has been searching for her, but she is nowhere to be found."
Alex frowned. "Did she get kidnapped or something?"
"Most probably. We will try to locate her." Anya assured him.
He nodded. "Have you tried asking Honda Sana?"
"Yes. According to her, an elder in white suddenly kidnapped her somewhere. She could not sense her cultivation, so I think the elder is a Martial Emperor or above and we suspect she might be taken to the Heavenly Continent. Should we send someone to investigate?"
Alex pondered for a moment before shaking his head. "We should solidify our force first in the Northern Continent."
"Understood."
"How about the power level on the Northern Continent?"
"I will give you the detailed report later, but the strongest should be the head of the first-rate influence. All of them are peak Martial Emperors, close to Martial Monarchs. It might take Anna and the others a while to catch up with them, so they will stay low until you come back."
"Yeah. We should consolidate our influence first. I only need a small group consisting only elites and it should be enough to scare most of our potential enemies."
She nodded. "Last but not least, we have gotten the report from Nelson. He has eliminated the entire Brynhildr Kingdom that is involved in that war. He also has emptied their treasury and acquired massive wealth. Combining our spirit stones with Anna's and Nelson's, we have almost one billion Spirit Stones.
"Nelson also has sent a portion of the Spirit Stones to your disciple, Rose. Because of your incident, I did not have time to leave behind Spirit Stones for her use, so Nelson is taking care of that."
"What a reliable guy." He exclaimed.
"Indeed. He is the best guy to have around." She nodded. "Anyway, that is all the report."
"Alright. I feel I will go to the Elven Kingdom before returning from this mission, so I want you to be ready all the time. I don't know how this will turn out and I want you to be prepared as I might call you." Alex said as he grabbed Anya's card with him.
"Yes. I know what to do." She nodded. She also handed him the written report about the power level of the Northern Continent.
"I will retire to my room then." Alex grabbed the report and went to his room.
She nodded.
...
The next day,
Alex arrived in front of the west gate. Lilian was looking at him with a complicated expression. She wanted to be mad but knew it was wrong. She bit her lips as she gathered a certain resolve in her heart.
Alex just nodded at her as a greeting. It was the best not to say anything to her for the time being. He then looked at Shelka as well as two of her guards. His prediction was correct. With the two guards coming along with them, this mission was fishy. He was trying to perceive Shelka's real intention.
"Good Morning." Shelka greeted him with a smile.
"Good Morning." Alex nodded.
"Shall we go?" She asked. "Our destination is Renner City, a neutral city where many races gathered."
All of them nodded and flew toward the west.
