Having at least a week, Alex was wondering what he should do other than opening his Gacha. In the end, he shook that thought off his mind, focusing on the Gacha.
His Gacha Status appeared by a single wave of his hand, revealing the numbers of his Gacha.
[Gacha Ticket x891]
[Premium Ticket x0]
[Dart x0]
[Gacha Card x5]
[Gacha Coin x0]
[Summoning Ticket x0]
[Summoning Coin x0]
He pondered for a moment before deciding to enter the Gacha Palace.
Realizing his intention, the system summoned the gate, leading him to the gate.
[Come in, Host.]
"..." Alex smiled, walking toward the gate. Before he opened the gate, his system already opened it, revealing the usual system girl.
"I have a present for you today, and I am sure you will like it." She smiled gently, leading him inside by holding his hand.
Alex was filled with astonishment since the system never really gave him a present. And suddenly, another gate appeared in the opposite direction of him.
He looked at the system girl, asking, "Is there any new feature?"
"That is my present for you." She smirked. "It's because of the last event where you almost died."
Alex made a weird smile, "I am sorry for that."
"Fufu..." She chuckled mysteriously, recalling a few months earlier. Her computer showed the scene that Alex saw as usual before that old man appeared and almost killed him. At that time, she was furious and wanted to kill that old man by herself. After all, the world itself had yet to recognize her soul, allowing her to enter it by using the system as the catalyst.
Ultimately, she decided to stay for several reasons. She could not predict what would happen if she showed herself at that moment. Luckily, the opponents were not stronger than the spirits, convincing her not to go.
This reward she prepared for him was her compensation to him. "Do you want to guess what this present is?"
Alex stared at her for a while before answering, "A hundred UR items?"
"Are you acting right now? You are not shameless enough, and it's forced. I can only rate it with three stars out of five." She grinned, giving a teasing glance.
"Nope. I am not acting; it's just my wish." Alex shrugged.
She sighed, "Anyway, let us see the present."
The gate began to open with a single wave from her, revealing two shadows. The first one had purple hair tied into twin tails, reaching to her waist. Her blue eyes had a trace of ice element, influencing her eye color. Her beauty was enhanced once more, taking away one's breath. The other one had blazing red hair, running down her back. She had this weird aura that complimented her devilish body. They wore the same black dress as Lin Xingzhi as the uniform.
Alex dropped his jaw to the ground, shocked until he could not think. He looked like a broken toy, staring at these two figures with blank eyes.
"Eh? Did I break him?" She looked at him with a complicated expression before turning to the two figures, "Come here, Firia, Alicia, we need to fix him."
It turned out the present was Alicia and Firia. They somehow wanted to meet him earlier, but they were not strong enough. Only after breaking through to Martial King, they could use their soul to come to this place. Though they wanted to give Lin Xingzhi some space with Alex, they were too worried after hearing he almost died. In the end, without even them asking, she had given them the invitation for this, which they accepted.
"Hehe..." She grinned, reuniting this husband and wives. Just as she was about to leave them alone, her hands were grabbed by the two women.
"Sister, you can't leave." Alicia smiled.
"That's right. Both of us are your assistant right now, so you can't leave right now." Firia nodded, convincing her.
Lin Xingzhi could only smile upon seeing this. They had gotten close these past few years despite not seeing each other that much. Information about Alex's progress always came every month for both of them, increasing their desire to get stronger. Ultimately, she got recognized by both of them first before Alex even knew her name.
"Alex, you have no problem with her staying with us, right?" Alicia narrowed her eyes, asking him without giving any option.
"I will send you back if you have." Firia nodded.
Alex hugged them first, releasing his loneliness before answering, "Of course. She is no outsider. Still, I am glad both of you are fine."
"Hehe..." Alicia chuckled, waving her hand to Lin Xingzhi and telling her to take advantage of the situation.
Firia also blinked her eyes, supporting her.
She was happy with their thought, but she ultimately shook her head, telling them it was not the time yet. Alex surely would not reject her if she decided to hug him from behind, but doing it like this would leave a bad taste in her mouth. At the very least, Alex needed to know her name first. As of yet, he was still unqualified to know her name.
Unexpectedly, after releasing Alicia and Firia from his embrace, he turned around, facing the system girl. He took her hands, raising it a little bit as he bowed down. "Thank you... Thank you..."
She smiled, not saying anything.
"That's right, how about finishing your Gacha first? We can talk after this." Alicia suggested.
"Yeah. We should do that rather than having this awkward moment." Lin Xingzhi nodded, smiling gently.
Alex had no qualm and nodded his head. "Sure. I will open the Gacha Box first before opening the normal gacha."
"Sure. Follow me." She led them to the previous Gacha Machine, using the three cards option.
The machine then summoned three boxes for him as the system handed them to him. She waved her hand, taking out the bonus box too. "Here you go."
Alex stared at the four boxes before looking at them. "We are four people here, how about each of us open one? Maybe the legendary beginner luck will occur again?"
"Beginner? I am the Grand Master of this system, and you expect me to open?" Linn Xingzhi shrugged, not wanting to open it.
"I will pass." Alicia shook her head.
"Same here. I will comment on everything you get." Firia smirked, planning to tease him if he got bad items.
"Oi." He helplessly shook his head, taking out three Gacha Cards and placing them on the boxes one by one.
[Dragon Strengthened Bow (UR) x1]
[Water Tank (R) x1]
[Ancient Peacock Blood (SR) x1]
[Windy Blow Technique (UC) x1]
He observed the Dragon Strengthened Bow, which seemed to be a peak rank 7 bow before turning to the system. "I thought I would get rank 8 bow if I got UR, is the system rigged?"
"Nope. It's just a small adjustment. I mean, take a look at this. If you reach Martial Monarch and give you Divine Item, can you handle that and what would others think if they see it? This adjustment also applies to your spirit. They can't level up anymore after reaching level 80 or Peak Martial Saint. You need to reach God Stage first before they can level up again. And you also can't use any EXP Cards to them as soon as they reach God Stage."
"..." Alex stared at her, wondering if she nerfed the system. He then looked at Alicia and Firia. "She always did this to me."
"You need to hear her explanation first before complaining." Alicia rebuked him.
"That's right."
Alex looked at them in amazement, never expecting them to choose her over him.
"As I have said to you in the past, the system is not omnipotent like what you think. Just like when you are cultivating in this world, you have a limit up to Martial Saint and would not be able to advance further. And this system limit is God Stage. As for the whole explanation about the world, you don't need to know it right now. It's better for you to take your time and advance as soon as possible. That is the answer to your question earlier."
The explanation stupefied him. Many questions flashed in his mind, but he only uttered one question to himself, not them. 'If I reach God Stage, I can meet Alicia and Firia again, and also the system... probably. At that time, will I continue my journey?'
This question shook his very motivation, that kept him going. By the time he reached the end of the journey, would he still keep going, searching for another chance to breakthrough?
He could not find the answer he was looking for.
"Alex?" They tried to wake him up, waving their hands or shaking him.
"Ah?" Alex snapped back into reality, burying the question deep inside his mind. He would answer it when the time came. "Anyway, I will just reward the bow to my disciple later.
"As for the water tank, I will keep it. Maybe I will have too many and can make a lake with it." Alex shrugged.
"Pfft. A lake." Firia laughed.
"I am in no position to say anything." Lin Xingzhi quickly gave her stance.
"Yeah, because you gave me all of that water." Alex narrowed his eyes, staring at her. "By the way, how many water bottles do I have right now?"
[Water Bottle x7840]
[Water Gallon x974]
[Water Tank x27]
"..." He was stupefied after checking the number, never expecting to be this many. "Pfft."
Alicia and Firia could not see it, but they knew he must have many of them, making them chuckle.
"Is there any difference with the Ancient Peacock Blood? I usually get a Rank 6 or Rank 7 Monster blood, but the name was not specified." He suddenly asked the system.
"Like Kyle, you can use this blood to become half Ancient Peacock Blood and gain strength. You have clearly stated that you won't abandon your humanity, so this is useless for you," she answered.
"I see." Alex understood, classifying it as another power system.
As for the last Windy Blow Technique, he already had that technique inside his brain, so he threw it inside the Inventory, letting it rot.
"Use all my Gacha Tickets." After opening the Gacha Boxes, he quickly asked the system, not wanting to waste any second so they could talk.
She nodded and walked toward the machine, inserting all his Gacha Tickets before using all his Summoning Coins. Alex got 17 Rare EXP Cards, making him sigh. He needed to sacrifice someone in this battle as the EXP Cards might not be enough to level them up.
"Putting the trouble aside, how are you guys doing?" Alex asked.
They continued to talk about Alicia's progress and how she became a Phoenix Queen. He would surely tell Vera about this, considering she was the previous Ice Phoenix Queen. On the other hand, Firia had her own training with his master's wife, reaching the same level as Alicia, a 5-Star Martial King.
Alex could only shake his head, finding how ridiculous it was to be spoon-fed. In fact, if he stayed like Alicia or Firia, he might reach Martial Monarch already, except his skills and experiences would be too low, making him a paper tiger.
He also probed everything about the system, but to no avail, as the system stopped him every time he asked. Ultimately, she said she would reveal it later, not specifying the date.
They talked for about a day, discussing everything from small things to big things. Unfortunately, it was the time limit where the system needed to expel him from the Gacha Palace.
He came out of the palace with a smile even after knowing he might not meet Alicia and Firia again in that place as they wanted to train.
He waved his hands, saying goodbye to all of them and looking at the disappearing gate.
"Fu." His mood had cheered up, raising back his determination.
Just as he was about to come up, Anya opened his door, giving him the last report about the Joyful Union Sect.
