579 Misunderstanding

"Tch." Alex glanced at the two people. In this split second, he needed to choose whether to kill them or not. The Black Devil Sect member aside, if he killed the Martial Arts Pavilion member, that Chloe would jump on him. He wasn't afraid of her and had enough confidence in killing her, but the problem would be after that.

Seeing the scale of influence, they should be able to learn the truth about the killer. This thought caused Alex to think it over. In the end, Alex gritted his teeth and changed his plan only for this time because of the importance of their identity.

"Blade of Conquest." 

Two sword waves flew out of his sword and spear at the same time, making their way toward respective people. If one looked closely, they would notice the difference in power of these two sword waves.

The one that flew toward the Martial Arts Pavilion Member didn't have a single trace of Intent or Domain. It only contained enough Spiritual Energy to blow him away. Meanwhile, the other sword wave contained Alex's 700 meters domain, and the force was no joke. 

"Kh!" 

It was proven at how the other person struggled upon clashing with Alex's sword wave. Unfortunately, despite all of his effort, Alex's sword wave still blasted the sword out of his hand.

"!!!" As observant as her, Chloe obviously noticed the difference between the two sword waves. It was clear that Alex's targets were the people from Black Devil Sect. However, what shocked her the most was how Alex could use his spear to create a Sword Wave.

She had been practicing and learning all kinds of Martial Arts from a young age, but she never encountered a Martial Art that allowed something like this. There was a trace of curiosity and other feelings, creating a complicated emotion in her heart. 

Chloe searched for another memory if this person had ever spotted on this continent, albeit not a single piece of memory came to her mind. She thought, 'Who is this masked man? I never heard a person like him on this continent. Besides, his teammates are eliminating the people of Black Devil Sect. Did they have a grudge against them? Thinking how the Black Devil Sect acted, is he taking revenge on them?"

Chloe fell into a misunderstanding. She thought Black Devil Sect slaughtered Alex's and these people's families. Then they hid while building their strength to take revenge on the Black Devil Sect. And this was the perfect time to strike at them.

'Still… If I don't prevent him from killing the Black Devil Sect, the others will think I have shared the same sentiment as him. We are teleported randomly, so I meet these people from Martial Arts Pavilion, but I am sure they might still spread it even though I ask them not to. The rumor will become a reality, and the Martial Arts Pavilion will be blamed.

'This will justify the reason why we let the people from Black Devil Sect die.' She could only come up with something like this in the short time she had. She might be able to come up with a better plan, but this situation didn't allow her.

Gritting her teeth, she took her weapons while jumping toward Alex, ignoring all the monsters around her. She pretended that she wanted to stop him from killing the rest. 

Unfortunately, like how she misunderstood his intention, Alex also misunderstood her action. The first thought that came to his mind was that Chloe wanted to stop him.

"Tch." Alex clicked his tongue in annoyance.

Although it would be bad to kill her, it should be fine to injure her and blow her away. Alex swung both of his sword and spear simultaneously while using his Heaven Light Slash. 

However, Alex added his Triple Draws to the mix out of annoyance.

"!!!" Chloe realized that he misunderstood her action, but as expected from a leading person in the Martial Arts Pavilion, she could clearly see the six attacks. Although she was surprised by how fast the strike was, she somehow managed to react.

The Spiritual Energy covered her body as she used her power to the maximum. Seeing the six incoming attacks, Chloe spun her body to make a circular attack that could strike all of these.

"Sword Flash, Spinning Dance." 

The clicking sounds of swords resounded on everyone's ears. Surprisingly, Chloe managed to block all the attacks and repelled them from touching her body. This feat managed to astonish Alex.

Unfortunately, Alex's attacks were not that easy to block. Chloe felt the powerful power behind each attack and barely blocked it. She used the momentum of this attack to send her away from Alex.

"Lady Chloe!" The people from Martial Arts Pavilion surrounded her to protect her from Alex.

"Don't worry. I am fine." Chloe said before blood flowed out of the corner of her mouth. Taking Alex's blow was really taxing for her body, especially when she was unprepared for it.

The people around looked at Alex with hostility, but the latter didn't care for them as long as they wouldn't interfere.

"Who are you?" Chloe uttered a question. It might be a foolish question, but it was indeed something she needed to ask. And one of them just to make the other disciples believe she didn't know him. 

Sadly, her question would never be answered. Not only was there no such intention to answer, but Sherry also appeared beside Alex while saying, "Master, we have finished here."

As if he didn't hear Chloe's words, Alex turned around and nodded at Sherry before escaping from the situation.

"Don't run!" 

Some disciples were angry when they saw Chloe hurt while some of them wished Alex to go away after seeing how she was hurt. And with the addition of Sherry, they realized that the monsters and all Black Devil Sect members already died. This scared them out of their wits.

Chloe quickly stopped the idiotic one by a single shout. "Stop." 

"Are you idiots? Haven't you seen how the monsters and the Black Devil Sect members died and how fast they took to kill them? I don't know why, but their target should only be the Black Devil Sect. If you don't want to die, then don't chase them and let them do whatever they want."

"But…" Some of the angry ones calmed down, but there were still two disciples that couldn't let go of their anger. The first one was the person that Alex struck while the other one was his friend. Albeit, their discontent was stopped by another shout.

"If you are going to chase them, I will kill you myself. I don't know how much they will kill, but it would seem their target is Moar. If we act more than this, I and other core members might be put in their killing list. I will handle the matter of the elders, so just shut up and follow my instruction." Chloe let out her frustration.

Hearing the words from Chloe's mouth shut them up. Meanwhile, Chloe wiped the blood on her mouth with her hand before storing her weapons. She said, "Remember, our five influences don't really have a good relationship with each other, so let them deal with their problem."

Meanwhile, Alex was already far enough from them as they stopped for a while.

"Alex…" Anya looked at him with a troubled expression.

"Yeah. That one was my mistake. If they are a group of non-important people, we can just kill them easily. However, the existence of that woman quickly changes the importance of their group." Alex nodded, admitting his mistakes. "Though I am indeed a bit reckless on that attack… After that, I realized that she was only pretending to attack me. It would seem that woman is smart."

"I have the same opinion. She used her power at the last minute to block your attack and took advantage of that force to send her away. Fortunately, he wasn't on our target list. If not, we will need to hunt her down first, so she wouldn't become a threat to us like Shelka." Anya nodded in agreement while reconstructing the scene from earlier in her mind.

Anna crossed her arms and asked, "So, what should we do? Ask Narman to check her just to be careful?"

"No. We will continue our original plan. After we are going inside the realm… no, after we are out of this place, I will ask Narman to investigate her usual behavior and other things. If she had the same change as Shelka, I would need to kill her." Alex narrowed his eyes while releasing his killing intent. He was dead serious about it. 

"Master… How about I transform into my original form and kill her? This way, we could make it look like a monster kills them. If they investigate it, all the clues will only lead to me. As long as I use my human form, there should be no problem." Sherry said with a pure thought to help Alex.

Astonishment appeared on Alex's and Anya's faces. They forgot to think about this because none of the spirits could look like a monster. Only Fabio's True Spirit Body had the closest appearance to those of monsters.

On the other hand, Kyle and Stina were phoenixes. The phoenixes were rare and targeted in this world, so he shook that thought off his head. The only person left would be Sherry. 

Sherry would always be his family. This might be the reason why Alex never considered her as a monster and used it as his advantage. However, when they were presented by the problem as Sherry suggested it herself, Alex couldn't help but think it over and over again.

"I mean… with the monsters around, it's more convincing than killing her outside of this barrier." Sherry looked at Alex's eyes. 

Anya pondered for a moment before glancing at Alex. It would seem that Alex already had his answer.

"No." Alex shook his head. "It's not worth the effort. We might be able to fabricate how they die, but there are still other factors that need to be considered." Alex shook his head. "I am not doing this because she is a woman. Even if the one in this is a male, such as that muscle brain, I would probably do the same… Rather than talking about this, how about we continue the mission? Maybe we can find another solution with a bit more time." 

They nodded because they could easily find Chloe's position in this realm by asking Narman. With that thought in mind, they flew to search for other prey.
