596 Alex's Plan

One week later, Alex was still cultivating, ignoring everything around him. Even though it was everything, there was only Anna beside him. 

Sherry and Kyle had entered their deep slumber to evolve into Martial Monarchs. As for the other spirits, they were summoned outside by Nelson. Luckily, their Space Element was a weird one and the space restriction in this place couldn't stop them from teleporting by using the system.

Logically speaking, Anya would be the best person to stay because she was the weakest, considering it was hard for her to kill monsters. However, Anya had a different plan.

She wanted to search for a perfect place where they could lay an ambush. She was also wondering how many people they would bring to search for their group, so she took charge of the operation herself. Nelson supported her and supplied every information she needed while the other spirits gathered some more EXPs.

Ultimately, Anna would be the best one to wake Alex up. Not only was she the closest one to Alex, but her figure also had been seen by Chloe. If Alex truly wanted to make the four influences think they were trying to perish together, it would be better if Anna was on his side as it would give another proof.

Anna understood Anya's intention and agreed with the plan. Although Alex never pointed out the details about his plan, he should also have the same intention as Anya. Besides, Narman was also on the surface, observing those people. They should be able to create a believable scene.

Only after the next day, Anna woke Alex up as this was the last day. 

"Alex, Alex, wake up." Anna first called him before slowly inserting her soul into his consciousness to wake him up.

Alex slowly opened his eyes after she did that. He scanned the room before noticing what happened. "Everyone is gone?"

"Yeah." Anna confirmed and added, "Sherry and Kyle are inside your body, evolving to Martial Monarchs."

"Indeed. I am not planning to have them join us in the next battle though." Alex nodded with a smile.

"You mean Black Devil Sect's reinforcements?" Anna narrowed her eyes with a serious expression.

"Yeah. It's been a while for all of us to fight together. Only I and the spirits…" Alex smiled. 

"Ah!" Anna opened her mouth in surprise. "So, are you planning for this?"

"No. If Sherry, Kyle, and Stina are here, I will also ask them to participate. I just go with the flow." Alex shrugged. 

"Haha." Anna chuckled before adding, "We are capable enough to beat them though. This time, I am planning to beat them hard with my butterflies."

She was frustrated because her Dark Butterflies, which were effective against people, had been restricted since their enemies were monsters. This time, she would really cause a ruckus in the enemy.

"So, what is your plan?" Anna asked.

"If they have one to three thousand people in each group, we can destroy two or three groups in a day… At least, before your True Spirit Body ends." Alex paused for a moment. "The problem will be how the other groups and us will react? It's hard to kill them without the True Spirit Body and I admit that."

"You already have a plan, right?" Anna narrowed her eyes.

"Yes. First of all. I believe your ability will give us a big advantage." Alex said mysteriously.

Anna nodded. She knew that Alex would be relying on her butterflies, which were more effective against the Blood Devil Sect than normal humans. This is why he believes they could annihilate two to three groups in a day. 

"As for the plan, I can only think of one." Alex paused for a moment, creating a mysterious atmosphere around him. Anna narrowed her eyes before realizing his plan. "EXP Cards?"

"Yeah. I'm planning to use the EXP Cards at the right moment to recover your Spiritual Energy. Depending on the number of our enemies, all of you might have a turn." Alex sighed. 

"This will be a hard fight though, considering it's hard to kill Martial Kings or above." Anna presented another problem. 

"I believe so. The groups we are fighting with the True Spirit Body will be easier. We were not like the past when we fought against the Joyful Union Sect. Besides, the disciples' quality will be much lower than the Joyful Union Sect."

"How about the battle plan?"

"I have a few plans in mind, but the best plan will utilize Nelson." Alex paused for a second. "We are going to ambush their leaders first before starting to kill the rest. Nelson will go around and assassinate every person who has a leader ability. Also, we will erect a barrier so we can retreat when they use Berserk Pills." 

"You can't go into the details without knowing their information, huh…" Anna sighed before noticing one last important matter. "How about splitting us? I mean the True Spirit Body. Seeing how you want to use the EXP Cards, we can have seven spirits use their True Spirit Body for the first day and the second day will have the three spirits and EXP Cards."

"It's a good plan if we don't fight against too many enemies. Let's say, if they are around two thousand, I will implement that plan." Alex nodded.

"Hmm, good enough." Anna smiled before staring at him for a couple of seconds. "How is your body? You have advanced a few times, you know."

"Yeah. I never expected the effect would be this wonderful. My three times of body refining with Undying Fire Body coupled with the rank 8 Gathering Array, it was such a marvelous one. Of course, the energy that poured onto us continuously was also the reason I could enter the 9-Star Martial Emperor." Alex smiled.

"Hmm, an effort that needs to take four to five months only takes one week…" Anna furrowed her eyebrows.

"Haha. I just barely broke through to the 9-Star Martial Emperor, it will take a long time to reach 10-Star." Alex laughed.

"Fair enough. Besides, you need to learn more about Array and Pill. We can't plunder the Black Devil Sect anytime soon, so we might exhaust our Spirit Gems before we know it."

"Good." Anna looked at him and asked, "What are you going to do now? Do you want some information about the surface or do something else?"

"I will make the destruction array first." This was something he promised at first, to build an array that would solve the Spiritual Gems later.

After finishing the job, he took out Narman's card. "Narman, you are on the surface, right? How is the situation there?"

"There is nothing special, Young Master. As you have predicted, the four influences band together to save their own asses." Narman answered. 

"They should have a few people to patrol the area, right?" Alex asked. 

"Indeed. There are around eight hundred people patrolling the forest and outside the forest. They began lowering their guard because they had seen no suspicious people for the past few days. I believe this is the perfect chance to give them a flash of your greatness." Narman joked at the end.

"What greatness? I am acting like I am heavily injured…" Alex paused for a moment. "I won't come that close to them because it will blow my cover. I will just let a few of them see my appearance before teleporting out of the forest."

"For what purpose?" Anna was the one who asked this time. 

Alex answered immediately. "It's to make them think, I also put the Cultivation Place as my mission, not them. However, my injuries prevent me from going there and because I am afraid the four influences will hunt me down. After all, I can't fight them in my state.

"On the other hand, only the injured you are with me. They might think our people have died in the battle, considering how big the ruckus we made. Taking advantage of their lack of information, they will easily misunderstand us.

"We will present ourselves one more time right when we are leaving the place. We can sneak inside the crowd before disappearing from that place. Nelson and the others already caused a problem outside, so they shouldn't chase us.

"Ultimately, the juniors will focus on us while the seniors will focus on Nelson. The juniors have their information, so the seniors. They will give each other some false information before unknowingly creating a huge misunderstanding." Alex smirked evilly.

"Now you said about it. It's truly easy to create misunderstanding when you base it on assumptions." Anna nodded.

"So, what should I do now?" Narman finally broke his silence.

"For the time being, you will look around the entrance since I want to leave this place while fixing the array. I don't want any unnecessary people to find me."

"Understood. So, I am patrolling around the array and if I find disciples nearby, I will inform you, right?" 

"Yes. Especially when I almost finished fixing everything. I can stop the progress for a while until you say it's safe." 

"Understood." Receiving his order, Narman quickly proceeded.

On the other hand, Alex began his preparation.

He took out a bottle containing monster blood. He smeared some of it to his clothes and ripped some parts to make him look wounded. He also took out a long robe and did the same thing. Anna followed whatever he did and made it as natural as possible. 

After putting on the clothes, Alex and Anna exchanged looks before observing each other's bodies. Of course, not in a lewd way. Instead, they were staring in their attire to see if it was natural enough.

Satisfied with each other's efforts, both of them nodded at the same time before their eyes locked into each other. "Let's go."

"Yeah."

Alex didn't recall her back inside the card, but asked her to accompany him all the way. They came out of this place from the white gate, passing the lizard nest again before reaching the teleportation room.

They entered the teleportation array without hesitation and arrived on the surface. Alex created a hole on the first barrier, so they could stay in the gap between the original barrier and Alex's barrier.

He began working on the restoration of the original barrier because he didn't have any intention of destroying this place. In fact, he never had the intention to destroy a single place. 

Whether it was Zwaka's place, his master place, and Teodross's place, all of them were destroyed on its own. 

Zwaka's place was destroyed because he absorbed the Space Element knowledge, according to Zwaka's request. His master place was shattered because of the Heavenly Tribulation after his master's advice to undergo his tribulation there. Teodross, on the other hand, was destroyed after giving a few things. 

In the end, all of those places were never destroyed because he wished for that to happen. He always wanted to leave without making a ruckus like such a thing.

After finishing the reconstruction of the original barrier, he proceeded to remove all of his barriers. Of course, under Narman's surveillance. He didn't want people to find him right after exiting this place.

A few hours later, he could finally remove the barrier. The orange sky filled their eyes as soon as they came out. It looked romantic if they were on a beach, watching the sunset or whatever, but Alex and Anna had another purpose. 

Narman suddenly appeared right before them and pointed her finger toward a direction. "The cultivation place is in this direction. If you walk around fifty meters, you will meet around seven people that are patrolling the forest."

"Thank you." Alex nodded with a smile as Narman disappeared again.

They looked at each other and nodded before walking toward the cultivation place.
