Chapter 660 - Fire God Clan and Ancient Blue Family

Unfortunately, the situation didn't stop for the Ancient Blue Family. As soon as they heard that the Martial Saint was killed, the three influences quickly made their way toward them. The harassment began to make this family suffer.

Of course, none of them knew why this would happen because they first heard it from a rumor that had been proven to be right. The source of this rumor was none other than Alex.

Firia was staying together with Alex this time, allowing Anna and Anya to go to the next continent as soon as possible. Anna and Anya had prepared for some tasks that they usually did as Alex's secretary, including the management of his contracted beasts. 

Even though all the N squad, excluding Ngina, had arrived on the Heavenly Continent, Alex still had one spirit that wasn't a part of their strength yet. It was the last N squad he got, Neon the ghost.

After confirming the Ancient Blue Family had sent their envoy, Alex immediately asked Neon to spread the rumor about the death of two Martial Saints to stimulate the continent once more. He might not be able to use him on the Heavenly Continent due to his low strength, but it didn't mean the same applied to Sacred Continent.

Firia's job was to oversee the whole progress of this operation, refine pills for money, manage the arrays for the three contracted beasts, and cultivate with Alex and Sherry each night. 

These four jobs made her very busy to the point she had no time to do anything else. Yet, she kept doing it every day with a never-changing smile. She had been practicing to have time to help Alex because she felt guilty about how useless she was in the lower world. That was why helping him felt very good in her heart, no matter how hard it was.

Alex repeatedly told her to rest, but she refused. She didn't want Alex to pass her cultivation.

He didn't know why but felt it was good to not have Alicia here. According to Firia, Alicia had been practicing Array this whole time. She wanted to make sure Firia didn't defeat her due to her incompetency. 

Unfortunately, she wasn't fit to be an Alchemist or a Forging Master due to her element. Hence, she decided to practice the Array. Of course, the resources from Eulja could sustain her progress. Lin Xingzhi even searched for an inheritance that could let Alicia have a Space Element. Although it was only a lesser Space Element that couldn't be compared to Alex, it was still the same level as Zark's Space Element. 

Alex was happy that she thought like this and became a bit impatient to see her.

In the end, Alex had a relaxing few months even though he caused trouble everywhere. First was this continent's Ancient Blue Family. 

After another two months, their grand elder finally arrived on their Main Family. It was obvious that he was treated pretty badly. Even the Main Family Head almost killed him when he presented the news. 

Luckily, they knew the Fire God Clan still needed to be informed. Hence, their family head sent the elder back before going to the Fire God Clan.

It took them two weeks to arrive at Fire God Clan due to how vast the Heavenly Continent was. 

Red Sun City,

It was a city that hosted a few hundred thousand people. It could be said to be one of the biggest cities on this continent. The city could have a colossal size like this, of course, because of the Fire God Clan residing near it.

They lived on the mountain and only used this city for trading and such. The Ancient Blue Family skipped this town and came to the Fire God Clan. 

The Fire God Clan never expected for Ancient Blue Family's Family Head to come to their Clan personally. Yet, they still welcomed him because of their previous agreement.

Inside a brown colored wooden pavilion, two old men were staring at each other. The tea that had been prepared by the servants had gone cold, but they had yet to utter a single word.

Having not much time to waste, the Fire God Clan's Patriarch, Leo Hinga, decided to break his silence.

"Why did Ancient Blue Family Head, Ariele Davi, come here personally?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

Davi crossed his arms and released a little bit of his Spiritual Energy, showing how annoyed he was. He thought about getting favor at a low price, but it backfired on him.

"Why don't Fire God Clan explain to me your problem with this Spirit Nest?" 

"What do you mean?" Leo couldn't comprehend his question. 

"Your and my forces were destroyed by the Spirit Nest, and this incurred loss for our sides. I'm asking right now, who is this Spirit Nest?" Davi narrowed his eyes. "I heard your Young Master was killed by them, despite sending two elders. Yet, it seemed you had hidden some information from us, including their power level. I still remember that you said they only have Martial Monarchs… Hence, I agree with our alliance. 

"Now, they have killed your Martial Saints, meaning they are prepared to fight against you. I don't want to have them as my enemy because they are still unknown to me. So, I'm going to pull back from this influence and stay neutral."

"What?! You have agreed to help us!" 

"That is because I have agreed to your terms and information. However, it's different now." 

"Kh!" Leo gritted his teeth. He originally planned to have Ancient Blue Family involved too, so they would need to face this together. There was this much risk behind this scheme because they had yet to know the depth of Spirit Nest.

It suddenly became more dangerous after hearing the scout party was killed.

'Ugh. I need to mobilize the entire family first to chase this Spirit Nest. If the Ancient Blue Family is involved, we can have them protect our back. I can't send the force to the Sacred Continent now that I have confirmed him there. That's why I can only wait here… How do I convince him to join?' Leo fell into deep thought. 

"I know that I have hidden some information from you guys. That's why I am going to explain some information you need. You can ask me anything now." Leo made an offer.

"If you are playing my trust like this, I won't participate in this alliance anymore." Davi shook his head. "I'm here only to inform you that your force has gone, and I am breaking off this alliance."

"Wait, Brother Davi, let's talk about it. I know that I am wrong about this. However, I have another offer for you. How about marrying your first daughter with my clan successor. Unlike our first one, this one is even better."

"Your second son?" 

"Yeah. My first son's talent for cultivation was too big, so he shadowed him too much. However, my second son, Eric Hinga, is smarter with quite good cultivation talent. I want to have him support his brother later, but it can't go that way after Ryan's death. That's why I am asking for your second daughter's hand in marriage. We can form a stronger alliance with this and also show my sincerity." 

Davi narrowed his eyes and thought, 'Is this old man insane? This is a good deal indeed… If I can marry off my second daughter, I can easily move the Fire God Clan later. However, I also don't know anything about Spirit Nest. This is very troubling.'

Davi thought for a few minutes before saying, "Your offer is good. But I still need to decline the offer. There are several reasons. First, I need to know the extent of their influence. It will be troublesome if they have something that can kill many of my elders or if their strength is the same as the top influences here. 

"Second, I will need to know if they have any allies on this continent. I don't know how they could convince the Blackwade Clan to break off from your previous alliance… and most probably, they will come to me with the same intention. I am telling you upfront that I won't make an alliance with you before seeing their offers. 

"Third, I won't do anything big since I am going to abdicate my position according to my family law. So, you can only wait for a few years. If you can't agree with these terms, then we won't consider the next alliance agreement between our families."

"Kh!" Leo gritted his teeth. He wanted to reject an offer like this, but it would mean they had no ally on this continent. After considering for a few minutes, Leo decided. "Alright. I agree. However, I also want to add two conditions. First, even though Ancient Blue Family can't do anything big, you still need to aid us in the investigation to find the extent of their power. Second, the two kids need to be engaged right now."

"Fine. But the Fire God Clan needs to be the one to come to ask for my daughter's hand in marriage."

"I agree." 

"Then, you need to tell me everything about Spirit Nest." Davi pondered for a moment and decided to tell the information he got earlier. "Firstly, their leader was a 3-Star Martial Monarch. The strongest that my family had seen was one 7-Star and one 8-Star Martial Monarchs. We didn't know how they killed the two Martial Saints yet."

Davi obviously didn't know about Alex's Spiritual Weapons because the disciple didn't explain it. The disciple actually wanted to inform them, but got into a trap first and forced Nelson to kill him. And this worked to Alex's advantage because of how powerful the Spiritual Weapons were. 

Leo was struggling to see a piece of information about Alex, but he still said it. "I will explain about their leader's power. His name is Alexander Sirius, and the first time he was spotted when he entered Heavenly Sword Sect, a weak sect on Willow Continent. He also has two identities: Alchemist and Array Master. His weapon technique is also unique because he used a sword and a spear at the same time. The most important thing is… he is a Pure Fire user."

"What?!" Davi rose from his seat, fuming on anger. "You want me to fight a genius like this? No. I am rather fighting Fire God Clan over this boy!" 

"I'm afraid you can't. You have gotten involved… Although not deeply, he won't trust your family anymore."

"You tricked me!" Davi finally realized their scheme. As he said, they might not be called as his enemy, but they still had a pretty bad record with them. It would be hard to convince him and create an alliance by marriage.

"Hehe… That's why I'm offering you a second option."

"Second option?!"

"That's right. How about having this person spit up his Sacrificial Element to my second son. This way, my son will have the highest talent and a smart brain. This will be beneficial for your clan as well considering our relationship." Leo smirked.

It was as he said, the cooperation was good for him. Yet, there was a part of his heart telling him not to take this alliance. The reason was simple. Seeing how Alex could grow up so quickly meant he had numerous cultivation resources that he could use all the time. And how he resolved many troubles in Willow Continent, Northern Continent, or Sacred Continent, this boy would surely have a backing. It would be Spirit Nest, or he had another backing that no one knew. 

It was so hard to fight against an unknown enemy because there were many things that needed to be considered.

"Also, they have a technique to become half-human half-monster, which can be reverted later. This technique can enhance one's power by a large margin. If we can catch him, both of us can have a copy of this Martial Art."

"!!!" Davi obviously had heard about this Martial Art since the Blackwade Clan was actually the one who spread the information. He took a deep breath before saying. "Let's talk in detail."
