Three months later, two days before Alex returned to the surface, Alex woke up from his cultivation.
"These three months were beneficial." He opened his eyes before standing up, finding Firia also waking up.
"Alex. How is your progress?"
"I have absorbed the memory crystal completely, but it seems I have underestimated it since I needed to use it for around two months." Alex sighed.
"I see. Your cultivation hasn't advanced to 2-Star Martial Saint because of this." Firia observed his cultivation and sighed.
"Anyway, I am happy that you have reached 3-Star Martial Saint this time. As for me, I will slowly catch up to you… Maybe after mastering my Spirit Crown…"
"Indeed. Don't worry. We still have two years before we need to create a ruckus in the Snow White Mountain. Maybe another year to fight both influences."
Alex nodded. "Yeah. That's my plan."
"We will wait for another two days then."
"Before that, I want to ask something from you."
"Sure. What do you want me to do?"
"Can you refine the Revolving Heart Pill?"
Firia slightly opened her mouth before her expression turned serious. She closed her eyes, falling into deep thought. "I have practice with my Master, but I don't know if I can get the highest possible result."
"How about trying to use my Simulation Room to test it?"
"Sure. I have seen what your Simulation Room can do, and I think I am not that far to reach perfection. However, I don't have the ingredients with me."
"Don't worry. I just got the last ingredient three months ago. I wanted to say this to you but decided to wait until we left here. Well, since you have woken up, I think this is a good idea." Alex smiled.
"That's great. I will try to recall everything about it now while you create the array." Firia nodded.
Alex then walked a bit further and started drawing symbol after symbol.
It didn't take him long before he finished, and Firia had been waiting for him. Alex took out the ingredients and placed it inside the Simulation Room together with the Spirit Crystals.
Firia walked inside, sat down, and activated the array.
Alex didn't say anything and watched how she woke up several times during this time. From her expression alone, he knew she succeeded, but the result wasn't like what she hoped for. Only after going through trials and errors, Firia's mood gradually improved. She even made a big smile for the last five times.
"I have mastered it. I am confident I can bring three Perfect Purity Revolving Heart Pill."
"Sorry for troubling you."
"It's fine." Firia took a deep breath. "I will recover my Spiritual Energy and calm my heart first before proceeding with this."
"Sure. Take your time."
"That's right. Who do you want to give these pills to? From what I know, it will be Evelyn and Rose. But how about the last one?"
"Evelyn has a high talent in the sword to begin with, so I am sure that this pill will benefit her. As for Rose, she is already strengthened by the Bow Mastery Card and Lightning Crystal. If I don't support her with numerous resources, I am afraid she will lose against Evelyn in terms of cultivation speed. However, this should fix Rose's problem. And for the third one…" Alex paused for a moment, piquing Firia's interest.
"Who is it?"
"I don't know yet. There are three candidates that I can give or sell. First will be Song Jiaoren. Seeing his actions toward me, I think I can reward him with this. Unfortunately, he won't be that loyal to me since it is only for benefit.
"The third one will be Song Ling'er. The principle is basically the same. If I give this, I will gain the complete support of the Blackwade Clan in this world. However, I don't think I need more than our current situation, since everything is under control.
"Then it will leave for the third one, Astennu," Alex said mysteriously as if he was telling it wasn't for him.
Firia also realized this and thought who would possibly receive the pill. "Ah! Is it for your Senior Sister?"
"Yeah. You can say this is the last present from me as well as my congratulation gift for their marriage that will happen sooner or later."
"Now that I think about this… If I calculate everything from benefits, she doesn't necessarily deserve this super rare pill. However, if I put your feeling and relationship in the calculation, well…" Firia sighed. "How about we see the other candidates first? For example, that Elizabeth?"
"It's true that I might buy her cooperation if I give this to her. Let's say that she might become the fifth influence that will fight with us. However, I am afraid I don't need to do this since it's enough if she can stay silent in her territory since four influences are enough since we can count Freedom Sect as two influences." Alex answered from his point of view.
"What about the Ancient Blue Family and Snow White Mountain? Never mind about the Snow White Mountain. Letizia doesn't need one because of her pure ice, while no one is qualified to receive this kind of pill from you." Firia narrowed her eyes, releasing her killing intent.
"If you are thinking about buying Snow White Mountain's loyalty, it's highly possible. Due to the fact that they couldn't sacrifice Letizia, they ended up with the second choice. If we give this to her, it might be able to close the gap a little. However, I don't have a plan to do that and will never have." Alex also leaked his killing intent.
"It's fine. As for the Ancient Blue Family, I don't think it's required to buy their cooperation with this. We have enough Spirit Crystals and cards to play anyway." Firia shrugged before she found herself in a dilemma, not knowing what to do with the pill.
"I thought about auctioning it, but it will just invite chaos. As for our group, you don't really need it since your Sacrificial Element is upgraded when I evolved my Pure Fire. As for Alicia, she is already close to Pure Element anyway, so there is no point in doing this.
"As for Sherry, Kyle, and Stina, they have the same condition as yours. Hence, I don't really have anyone to give." Alex sighed.
"True enough. I don't want to be rude, but I think it will be a waste if you give it to Putri." Firia thought for a moment as a thought crossed her mind. "How about storing it first? We won't know if you end up giving it to someone in the future? I know that you won't think this as precious anymore, but maybe you can trade it with some resources and trick some people for it in the future?"
Alex furrowed his eyebrows and thought for a few minutes before deciding his choice. "I guess I don't really have that much choice. I will follow your arrangement. Rather than spending it all in the present, it's better to store it for now. Who knows what I will get in the future."
Firia nodded with a smile before walking away. "I will prepare myself then."
Without waiting for him, she already sat in her Gathering Array and summoned her cauldron. She summoned all six rank 8 medicinal ingredients, starting from Violet Blue Ganoderma, Bluedrasil Berry to this Heavenly Golden Mushroom.
She tossed all ingredients at the same time and used her fire to refine it.
Alex was amazed by watching her. When they were in the lower world, he still remembered how she asked him to teach him about Alchemy. To think that her Alchemy Skill had surpassed him, Alex felt happy. He felt proud instead of jealous. In fact, he wanted the others to know that his wife could do something like this.
He kept staring at her, observing her expression and how she handled the ingredients. From gentle fire to fierce fire, Firia controlled everything completely, and before long, she had moved to the impurities process.
At this point, the fire completely overpowered them. Normally, they needed to squeeze the impurities out of the herb, but Firia used her Sacrificial Element to burn it completely. Although the effect wasn't as powerful as Alex, it was enough for Firia to speed up the process by a large margin.
Not long after, three light blue pills flew out of the furnace as Firia caught and threw them into their Inventory.
After finishing their business, including the Revolving Heart Pill, Alex and Firia went out of the room and headed toward the Gods and Goddesses. Sherry, Stina, and Kyle, of course, hid inside Alex's body.
"It seems you have absorbed the memory crystal completely. Congratulations." Shakdi smiled and cupped his hands.
"It's thanks to Senior. I feel I can utilize my Space Technique better than ever."
"No need to be humble. I thought you might need to bring it home because you couldn't absorb it in one go, but it turned out I was wrong. I could feel you have finished in two months."
"I am just lucky," Alex humbly said.
"Luck is the most powerful weapon in this world. If someone has absolute luck, he will be invincible." Shakdi laughed. "Albeit, there is no such thing called Absolute Luck."
Alex didn't say anything. His luck wasn't good, but also wasn't bad when he recalled how he got his Gacha Items. Average might be the best word.
"That's right. I am wondering if I will be transported to the same area as the challengers later." Alex asked Shakdi, who was supposed to know this type of matter.
"Now that I think about it, there are indeed eleven challengers this time, even though ten are the limit."
"I am sneaking inside the array. Although I am not capable of drawing a Divine Array, I can still somehow manipulate it so I can enter."
"Oh! No wonder." Shakdi realized and felt it was pretty normal for Alex. The Spirit God must have taught him about this. "If that is the case, you won't be counted as one of the challengers. Instead, you will be considered as a citizen of this world."
"What will happen when the time limit has arrived?"
"You will be teleported outside the pillar like how the citizens in this place. In other words, you need to make your way back alone. I can't leave this place, so I can't really help you with that."
"It's fine. If I am teleported outside, I can go back alone by going through the gap I created a year ago." Alex nodded.
"If that is the case, I can only wish you luck in your journey." Shakdi cupped his hand.
Alex then glanced at Firia before he sensed the Spiritual Energy gradually becoming turbulent.
"It seems it is going to start. The teleportation process will be one hour later, so be careful." Shakdi nodded.
Alex then thought for a moment. "Now that I have this strength, I have forgotten by the fact that I haven't killed that Tiger Mercenary… Should I kill them before leaving this place?"
He couldn't say yes because he might need to call Leoz for this. He ended up sighing. "I think I will let this one slide… They are not capable of coming to the surface anyway. Unlike the previous case with Shelka, I am sure that nothing can help them this time, so I will just spare their lives once. It's not that bad to have your hand clean instead of covered with blood."
After deciding their fate, Alex sighed and waited until the tower shone in golden light. Firia's body gradually turned into golden particles as the body created by the array had reached its limit.
"I will be waiting for you at the gate. As for the pill, I will give it to Evelyn for you." Firia shouted before disappearing.
Alex also disappeared. He didn't forget to cup his hands to the Gods and Goddesses, showing his gratitude.
As soon as he returned to the outside world, he found many monster corpses that hadn't been disposed of. He didn't want to create a commotion, so he immediately slipped away using the Spatial Gate.
He also wanted to test how precise he could utilize the Spatial Gate, and to his surprise, he reached almost perfectly at the bottom of the hole he created without using the Space Mark.
He waited for a moment, so the others wouldn't find him before going upward.
