When everyone was stunned to see Alex's status, the guy himself was laughing as if he found a very good joke.
'Do you have anything to say, System?'
[It's entirely true… You are basically dragged to this world, so it's true. And your Divine Soul and Divine Energy are completely sealed while your Divine Body is assimilating with the world, so there is no way the crystal can trace that.]
'Fair enough. Still, it's really hilarious. Back then, I accepted everything because I didn't have any self-confidence, but this time, I accepted this because this is funny. I wonder if their reaction will be the same.'
As he expected, the first one to joke was the hero. "Hahaha! What is that status? You are even weaker than a baby! What are you? A baby inside a pregnant woman that has yet to be born?"
Alex glanced at the hero with a smile. "At least, it's better than you."
"Ridiculous!"
Alex thought for a moment, wondering if he should change his plan right now. Judging from the current situation, it seemed to be the perfect time to leave this castle.
It took him a few seconds before glancing at the king. "Since I am not related to this, then I can leave this place, right?"
"Presumptuous. Watch your tone!" The ministers finally couldn't take it anymore. They wouldn't do anything to the hero and his companions, but Alex was trash. There was no point in protecting trash.
"Haha! You are a loser." The hero laughed, pointing his finger toward Alex.
"A loser huh… When was the last time I thought myself a loser… Twenty years ago or twenty-five? Haiz, I didn't keep track of my own age, let alone this." Alex let out a long sigh.
"Twenty years ago?!" Liliana opened her mouth in surprise, looking at Alex with a huge shock. Alex's appearance was that of a high schooler… Yet, he said twenty years ago? She couldn't believe it.
Alex smiled and said, "That's right, little girl. My age is far above you to the point you can call me a father instead. Never mind, I don't have any child at the moment."
He then looked back at the king and asked, "In any case, I am leaving here with or without your permission. Goodbye."
He thought of playing around with the clichés here, but he realized he could break the cliché itself by acting like this. If he followed it, it would be predictable, so he wanted to spice it up like this.
He then turned around, starting to walk toward the thick wooden gate.
"Wait! It's better for you to wait here first and see the situation. I know that you are upset about your status, but there must be a way." Liliana stopped him from going as she stood in front of him.
Liliana couldn't understand why but Alex's way of speaking and acting looked like her own father. The warmth and his big hand felt very comfortable and reassuring.
Unfortunately, the time was too short as Alex stopped and continued walking.
"Wait! There must be something wrong with the crystal. How about taking a rest in this place first for a day?" The king stopped him.
Whether he had another intention or not, he would be the only one who knew.
Alex ignored him and kept heading toward the door, but a middle-aged man suddenly appeared right before him. He had spiky blue hair and wore a full body armor knight, leaving only his head to be exposed.
He looked at Alex with a stern expression and warned him. "It's better to accept his majesty's invitation. You must be upset, but it's better for you to calm your head and rethink your decision."
"It's fine. I am completely calm. And I don't have any business here Since you want to close the gate that the devils use to come to this world, then I will close it for you." Alex smiled, patting the man's shoulder before going around smoothly.
The middle-aged man was surprised by Alex's movement. Not only was it without one waste movement, but it was also so smooth to the point he couldn't react.
He gritted his teeth and turned around, trying to grab Alex's shoulder.
Alex shifted his body to the left and stopped the man with a single finger while leaking a bit of his killing intent. "It's enough. Don't try to stop me."
Suddenly, his feet lost their strength as he fell on his knees after feeling Alex's killing intent.
'That killing intent… How many did he kill? A thousand? Ten thousand? No, it's far beyond that!' The middle-aged man sweatdropped, wondering what he should do. On one hand, this might be the best time to kill Alex because they didn't want a serial killer like him. In fact, he somehow believed that Alex might look younger than he actually is.
On the other hand, Alex said that he was going to close the portal. For a person of his caliber, Alex might have the ability to close the portal.
However, it was different from others' perspectives. They never expected the middle-aged man to be kneeling in front of him. He was the captain of the palace guard. The position was always meant for someone strong. But even for a person like him, he kneeled in front of Alex with a pale expression.
"Anyway, don't stop me again. And if your kingdom is unpleasant to my eyes, I might destroy this kingdom first before closing the portal." Alex said coldly.
"Presumptuous!"
"How dare you?!"
"General Bright, Kill him! We can't let a person like this alive!"
Alex looked down at the middle-aged man before turning around. "That's it. I have said what I need to say. It's time for me to go."
"Wait… You… You… What are you?" The middle-aged man stuttered.
The answer came in a very weird way as Alex said, "My race is still human."
"Race?"
"Knights. Surround him!" One of the ministers shouted.
Alex didn't care about it as he opened the door without hesitation, finding two people outside. The first person was a male with a white uniform while the other one was a female wearing a maid uniform. However, the female looked like she was just beaten up by the male as he was still dragging her by pulling her hair.
Alex couldn't understand the reason until he found a black mark on his clothes.
"I am sorry, Your Highness. It wasn't intentional! Please forgive me." The girl pleaded. She didn't cry or anything but only asked for forgiveness.
However, Alex was startled when he saw her appearance that reminded him of someone. And the fact that he could see the blue colored layer surrounding her, symbolizing that he knew her.
The man in front of him looked at Alex and the kneeling Bright before noticing they were surrounded by soldiers.
"I apologize, Father. I was about to enter, but this maid spilled the drink onto my clothes." The man looked at the king before squinting his eyes at Alex's figure.
Alex ignored him and looked at the girl. "Young girl… What happened?"
He decided to ask the girl. Whatever the case, he should have known this girl of her previous life, so it would be better to ask her first. After all, her appearance reminded him of Mithra, the one that helped him on the Willow Continent.
"I…I…"
"Who are you?!" The man walked even closer, placing his head right in front of Alex as if he was challenging him.
"Crown Prince… Don't!" The knight behind Alex was still struggling to regain his power, but Alex twitched his finger first, controlling the energy around them to free the maid and having her stand beside him.
He glanced to the side and asked, "Tell me."
"I was preparing the meal for the heroes but slipped and accidentally spilled everything I carried." The young girl explained with a pale face.
"Ah, we are in this kind of world anyway." Alex nodded. "By the way, is your name Mithra or something?"
"Ye-yes." The young girl's body shook, never expecting Alex to know her name. All the people that had gone to the audience hall would surely be a big shot. Yet, the same person knew her name. It was her being honored and immediately answered. "My name is Mithra."
'As expected, it seems the name won't change even if you reincarnate…' Alex thought.
[Yes. That's how I found you. Though a few people know about it more than I do as they are learning the meaning of Life and Death.]
'I see. Still, I have karma with her. Since her previous life helped me to achieve Sword King, I will help her in this life. The previous her liked traveling, right? I will just have her as my guide in this world. Teaching her a little so she can fend herself won't be a big deal, I guess.'
[It's your choice, Host. But I think it's not a bad choice.]
The prince seemed to have lost his patience as he snarled. "How dare you ignore me like that!"
However, the knight seemed to have recovered as he grabbed the prince and pulled him away, standing between him and Alex.
No one felt his killing intent earlier, so they didn't realize how dangerous Alex is. Luckily, Alex hadn't yet done anything to him as if he wasn't interested in it.
Alex asked the little maid, "Hey, girl. Do you like an adventure like roaming around the world?"
"Eh?!" Mithra flinched for a moment before nodding timidly. "Ye-yes. That's my dream."
"In that case, do you want to travel with me? It won't be too long, but I believe you can continue on your own after that. What do you think?" Alex asked with a smile.
"What dream? You won't be able to escape from this place! Especially after smearing all this to my clothes! Guards!" The prince shouted.
"Anyway, what is your answer?" Alex asked with a smile.
"I… I…"
"Catch him!" The prince finally ordered the guards.
The king and the heroes seemed to be watching this in shock because everything escalated so fast. And they still didn't know why Bright fell down and tried to protect the prince right now. It was like Alex's existence was something higher than himself.
When the guards stepped forward, Alex snapped his finger, controlling the Spiritual Energy around him to stop all the guards.
"What is this?"
"I can't move!"
The guards were confused as if there was a layer that stopped them from moving. This could be considered magical because it was weird to the point they thought it was Alex's attack.
However, they had witnessed themselves how Alex and the other fours just got summoned. They had a record that their previous world didn't have power like them, but the people themselves have a very high potential. That was why they were confused.
Alex, on the other hand, asked the girl again. "It's fine to say anything you want. If you want to stay, I won't force you. But if you want to follow me, let's travel around the world."
"I…" The girl looked down for a moment. "I… I am an orphan, so I will go with you… I might be executed anyway."
The girl's expression looked pitiful as she had accepted her death earlier. That was the reason she only begged mercy instead of crying.
Alex patted her head and took her hand. "Let's go then."
They started walking as if nothing mattered.
"You! Kill him! Bright!" The prince didn't know why, but Bright actually restrained him as if he was scared of Alex.
"This is where you belong now. Whatever you choose, it's your own decision. You can be the so-called heroes, and I won't care anything about it. But if you are standing in my way, there is nothing but death." Alex released a killing intent, surrounding the entire room.
He then found a balcony near the door as he took Mithra flying.
