He, on the other hand, hopped on Ian's back as if he couldn't fly.
The dragon king didn't care about that much because Alex's movement was far faster than everyone could think. After all, even when he was prepared for it, he didn't realize before Alex suddenly appeared in front of him from Ian's back.
His speed alone might be far faster than Ian's flying speed. Even if he needed to pass some obstacles, he would arrive first.
Mithra kept glancing at the dragon king, curious about what made the dragon different from the rest. Although she could somehow understand he was stronger than anyone else, she just couldn't think that was all.
Alex, on the other hand, tried to sort his memory again.
A black flower and a white tree. The devils aimed for these two Divine Items, making him wonder what kind of items they were.
"There are a few items that hit the list from vague information like that…" Alex twitched his eyebrows, wondering if he missed something. "Even though they are called the devils, many of them still have Fire Element or Light Element, so it's impossible to track down what they want.
"But if I only consider those who have the advantage to cultivation, I can narrow them to four items. The first is a Divine Light Tree. Just like its name, the tree is releasing white light. The body of the three can be used as a handle of a weapon because it's durable. The leaves are quite useful, which could grant one's boundless strength, but if one drinks the boiled water with the Divine Tree's root inside it, they will gain enormous energy.
"Their efficacy might not be comparable to that of the Sun Moon Tree, but it should be able to give two-third of what the Sun Fruit and Moon Fruit could give. I wonder if I should drink this, so I can get stronger as soon as possible.
"The second possibility is White Ash Tree. Unlike the previous one, this tree is very advantageous to Fire Element users. The tree can produce a huge amount of White Ash when fully grown. And I should be able to reach rank 9 God immediately if I eat the pill with that White Ash as an ingredient.
"I currently have no power to create this pill, and I think I shouldn't worry that much because either way, the tree needs to grow first to produce that. A tree like this should be hidden because it will be in the eyes of God Rank Expert with Fire Element.
"Anyway, the white tree should be either of those two. As for the Black Flower, it's either Heaven Night Flower. It's a very poisonous flower, but it can be considered a Divine Medicine because if one can withstand the poisonous attribute, they can withstand any type of poison. Well, I don't need this because of my Pure Fire, but that doesn't mean the others not.
Out of these four, he really wanted this flower because it would help him, especially fighting a stronger opponent.
Alex finished coming up with the possibility and finally checked his system. He didn't need to worry about the reward of becoming a God because he already witnessed the aura covering people' bodies. The only thing he had yet to test was the Divine Gacha System.
As for that, he decided to stay away from it first and focused on his spirits.
Taking out Anna's card, Alex was perplexed.
[Anna (Dark)
Level: 80/80 (10-Star Martial Saint Stage)
Exp: -/-
Description: Please go to somewhere that allows a God Rank Expert to be born.]
"System, will they stay like this until I go to the Devil World?"
[Yes.]
"…" Alex sighed. "Will they get a new feature or something?"
[Yes. Unlike the previous leveling style, they will be absorbing the energy instead. Still, it will be much faster progress because they are simply gaining the strength they used to have.]
"Can you tell me what rank they were before sealing that power to help me?"
The system stayed silent for a minute before saying.
[I will only give the hints for three people. Which one do you want to know?]
Alex furrowed his eyebrows. "Never mind. I will ask them together because I don't want to show favoritism."
[Fine.]
As he was disappointed by the result, Alex continued the journey, flying for a few days before the dragon opened his mouth.
'We are going to enter an endless desert. The Immortal Cave is buried there.'
Alex looked at him and asked, 'Do you have any information about the Immortal Cave?'
'I don't really know much because this is far more ancient… If I am not wrong, this was coming from three thousand years ago. There was a strong person that had powerful strength. It was said that this person could split the sea and cleave a mountain. There is no such thing even if you tour around the world though.
'So, I don't know if this is true or not. In any case, the strange person died without any offspring. It seemed it was the price he needed to pay for his strength.'
Alex thought for a moment. The description was like the Divine Light Tree, but he remembered that the White Ash Tree shouldn't bloom yet where the leaves turned into ashes because of the lack of Divine Energy. Hence, there was still no telling which tree this was.
'How do we enter the cave if it's buried under the sand?' Alex asked. Although he could just smash it, he didn't want to use such brute force.
'Digging is the only way because it was built to bury that tree so no one can grab it. As you might already know, such a thing can bring destruction everywhere because it will surely incite the greed of every living creature in this world.'
'That means you too?'
'Yes. But I know my place, I am not strong enough to snatch it from you, so I won't do that. Although I say I want it, I just want to use that strength to push the enemies back to the other side. After that, even if I need to die, I will be satisfied.'
Alex didn't care about his resolve or everything because they might change after he experienced that power for a long time. In the meantime, he decided to rack his brain to see what kind of thing he could use to dig the sand.
Soon they reached the desert, but as he expected, the extreme cold brushed everyone's skin. The dragon had a thick scale, so it didn't feel anything. The same applied to Ian because a part of his element was an ice element.
But Mithra was different. She felt cold, especially when moving at this speed. Alex found this, summoned a barrier and used his Pure Fire to increase the temperature while using his Spirit Eyes to scan the area alone.
There were many creatures living beneath the sand, but he realized it wasn't a problem because they were far weaker than those devils. In fact, Mithra alone might be able to win against them.
The group continued flying toward the northeast before Alex picked up a sign of energy on the horizon.
"That is…"
'Yes. I think you have seen it, but not far from here is where the Immortal Cave is.' The dragon nodded as he sweatdropped. Although he talked like he expected Alex to see that, he couldn't believe that it only took him a glance to recognize the place. This was beyond his understanding.
Alex didn't care and took another look at it. The Spiritual Energy coming from it had a trace of Divine Energy. However, the world didn't recognize it as one because of its size.
'It seems there is one of the things I need to find inside the Immortal Cave.' Alex nodded with a solemn expression.
'In that case, I shall help you dig the entire hole. It will take only half a day, I guess.' The dragon offered his help, but Alex only waved his hand, telling him it was fine.
'I can dig by myself, and I believe it will be far faster to do it that way,' said Alex confidently.
'I understand. If you still need my help, please don't hesitate to ask.'
"Ian, Mithra, I am going first." Alex then rose from his position and flew faster than the two of them, reaching right above the Immortal Cave faster than anyone else.
He pointed his finger and created a Spatial Gate, slowly moving it toward the ground. And as he had expected earlier, the gate swallowed every single grain of sand at a fast rate. Alex only needed to control the Spiritual Energy around to hold the sand from collapsing on him.
This might also be the plan of the one burying this treasure in the past. With this type of sand, they would fall to the hole if there was no supporting building toward holding them. This would make the treasure harder to get.
Unfortunately, this was but a simple matter to Alex. The Spatial Gate was far too useful for this as he had already created a deep hole before the two arrived.
It continued for a few more seconds until Alex stopped right before he swallowed the Immortal Cave itself. There was a huge sandstone that acted as a gate. He could see a pattern of an array that was acting like a token. This was a simple array because it only needed specific blood to open this.
At the same time, the array couldn't increase the hardness of the sandstone, so unless the person built this with weak material, they simply needed to destroy it.
According to his Spirit Eyes, the plant was under this gate. If he smashed this gate, the rubbles might damage the tree. Even though it was a Divine Rank Tree, it didn't have enough supply of Divine Energy, so it was at its weakest state.
Alex thought for a moment before flying back to the surface where he and Ian exchanged looks.
"It's your turn, come here." Alex waved his hand.
Ian nodded and slowly moved toward him, peeking inside the hole.
Mithra and the dragon king did the same and never expected it was this easy to find it… Albeit, unbeknownst to them, the common sense in their mind had been shattered by Alex this whole time.
Alex paid no attention to that because Mithra should become the strongest person in the world that could do anything she wanted, so he only focused on Ian.
"Can you see it, Ian?" Alex pointed his finger toward the circle in the middle of that sandstone. "You can drop your blood there, and everything will open."
"Ga Wu!" Ian flapped his wing, flying to the center of the hole. He looked at his wing for a second and bit it until a single golden drop of blood fell down right inside the circle.
As soon as it touched the circle, it immediately recognized its blood and started a mechanism for this cave.
*Rumble Rumble!*
Alex decided to go down and brought Mithra with him. He wanted to bring the other two as well, but they were too big for this, so he decided to ask them to stay.
The rumbling sound kept echoing through the hole as the gate was slowly opened, revealing the golden floor. The room itself was just a simple small room without any tunnel leading to anywhere.
He then finally moved his vision to the white tree before him.
"This is…"
