"Ehm… I can call you Korzan, right?" Alex asked.
"Yes. Please call me so." Korzan nodded humbly.
"Then, Korzan. Where do you think I need to go?" Alex asked. "I mean, now that I have come to Eulja, I think I should do a few things, right?"
Korzan was a bit sour when Alex said he has "come" to Eulja, not returned. Nonetheless, he being here already brought joy to his heart, he shouldn't ask for more. The main task he needed right now was to have Alex call this home in the near future.
"There is nothing you need to do. Although a few have known your presence here, it's still not official yet, so not many spirits know that you are here. You should be able to do many things you want without meeting them for one or two years.
"In the meantime, we can create several plans to avoid your information from being spread out, considering there are many enemies that might come here the moment they learn your information. Hence, the other rulers know that we should avoid making full contact for the time being." Korzan nodded, assuring Alex.
"I see." Alex fell into deep thought. "I wonder how many enemies did I make in the past?"
"I am not sure myself, but I believe there are at least two God Kings."
"Wow?" Alex widened his eyes and scratched his head. "Can I safely assume that this world hasn't been destroyed yet because Father-in-law and I protected this place?"
The father-in-law in his word was none other than Lin Xingzhi's father, the Time God. He talked about many things with Lin Xingzhi last night and ended up doing nothing except talking, but he felt that was the most important thing to do.
During that time, he just had fun with the girls while getting to know them, especially Lin Xingzhi, better.
"Yes. However, one of your enemies in the past had fallen in the battle against your home planet, while the other one had their cultivation destroyed. From what I heard, he passed away a thousand years ago."
"I am still in danger, right?"
"Yes. A few thousand years have passed, and just like how you are raising your strength, your weaker enemies increase their strength until they reach God King. To be blunt, you still have two God Kings as your enemies. I don't know if there are hidden ones though."
"Hmm…" Alex thought for a moment and asked. "Why did they not destroy this planet after I died?"
"Despite having many enemies, you still had friends and neutral parties behind you. If they destroyed this world after you sacrificed yourself to seal the beast that might destroy this universe, then the neutral parties would surely move."
"There are a few ways to increase your strength." Korzan hesitated for a second. "The first way is to use a Spirit Crystal Mine and build a Gathering Array there. Although it's not very effective, it's still better than using Gathering Array here."
"I might probably do that." Alex nodded. "What are the other two?"
"The second is to use pills or medicinal herbs."
"There are many pills and herbs that can be used to increase one's strength drastically. I might use my Gacha System to get Spirit Crystals and buy everything that can help me. Can you search for a perfect world for this?"
"I believe the world that is suited like this is a world undergoing their transition."
"Transition?"
"As you might already know, a planet has its own age. After reaching a certain age, the world will evolve into a greater world. For example, a Lower World will evolve into an Upper World. During the transition, or you can say the evolving process, the world will become unstable.
"Many will start evolving, and portals to another world will open. In any case, the original people from the planet will need strength to protect themselves. With that chaotic environment, I am sure you are able to harvest crystals in a win-win situation. Hence, my suggestion."
"That is a good idea. For now, search for a world like that." Alex nodded.
"I understand. I shall immediately proceed with the search after this."
"Then, how about the third option?"
"The third way is to receive someone's inheritance. Some Gods still retained a portion of their strength and planned to give it to the inheritor."
"I am a bit skeptical of this one." Alex furrowed his eyebrows before remembering certain information. "Ah, I see. I should go there."
"Your Majesty?" Korzan tilted his head in confusion.
"Nothing. Don't mind my mumbling." Alex waved his hand, telling her it was fine. "In any case, the second option might be the best option."
"Yes. You still have two Divine Herbs to use while you also need to complete your Undying Fire Body refinement. Milady has been searching for a clue of their whereabouts… It's hard, but I believe she has found at least one. You might want to discuss it with her later."
"Alright.
Korzan paused for a moment and asked. "If I may ask, are you going to return to that world now?"
"I am planning to do it soon, maybe in two or three days. I want to familiarize myself with the situation here first before returning there. It's not like there is any difference between going now and a few days later."
"In that case, I would like to show you something." Korzan stretched his hand, asking Alex to follow him.
He nodded and started walking through the corridor before going around the confusing castle and arriving in front of a thick white gate.
"What is this?"
"This is our archive." Korzan smiled and opened the door for him.
The room was spacious, filled with books. Millions? Tens of millions? No, it might be around a few hundred million books that have been stored here.
"Wow?!"
"During the last few thousand years, we have been searching for you. And during that time, we end up finding more and more worlds a bit farther away. We collect every book they have, and it somehow ends up this much." Korzan scratched his head embarrassedly.
"From what I see, it has been sorted." Alex looked around, finding shelves named cultivation, martial arts, mathematics, and so on.
"Indeed. We have all the knowledge here, but we can't really make a technology suitable for cultivation. There are some, but it's too hard to implement them in this world. And we might need to have a breakthrough of technology to create a modern society that doesn't go against nature and pollute the Spiritual Energy.
"In any case, I am afraid there won't be something like that within a thousand years." Korzan kept walking straight before a glowing light grabbed their attention.
Alex narrowed his eyes when he saw this light.
The moment he passed all the bookshelves and arrived in the middle of the archive room, he was stunned.
There was a blue projection stretching around a few hundred meters. "This is…"
"As I said earlier, we have discovered many planets along the way, and we create a tracking array to know their position. And as long as we have another one here, we can calculate the distance and their direction from us."
Alex looked at this projection, containing a few thousand if not tens of thousands of balls that seemed to be symbolizing a planet. They were varied in size. Some were big, some were like a dot. He saw Korzan walking to the center as he pointed his finger toward the biggest one in the center.
"This is our planet, Eulja. If we take a little bit of the energy in this place and create an array to connect it with another planet, we can use those things as a compass directly to the planet."
"Is this technology?" Alex asked.
"Yeah. There are some, and this is one of them, albeit this one was prioritized because of its useful function."
"I can see that." Alex nodded in agreement. If he were here, he would also ask for a map like this.
Korzan then looked around the area and tapped a few worlds, revealing their name and basic information. However, his face slowly turned ugly as if he failed what he wanted to find.
"Well, well. This is really a surprising guest you've brought here." An aged voice echoed as an old man slowly descended from the upper floor and kneeled in front of Alex. "It's my wish to finally see you again, Your Majesty. I am glad that after five thousand years, you can come back to this place."
"I am his reincarnation, but I am not him." Alex shook his head.
The old man widened his eyes. He brushed his brown hair as if it was a habit when he was falling into deep thought. He then looked at Alex and clasped his hand, "I, Mirhan, pledge my loyalty to Your Majesty."
"!!!" Alex was surprised by this sudden turn of events. The old man in front of him wasn't really that tall, mostly around two-third of him. And his body looked very thin to the point he might fall with a single push.
Still, the old man suddenly pledged his loyalty to him… Never in his wildest dream there was a scene like this.
"Unlike a few people who have pledged their unwavering loyalty with Universe Oath, my loyalty is to the person that I deem worthy. And I believe my eyes are still sharp, so I believe your majesty is still fundamentally the same. You will still love your family and friends, and this is enough for me."
Alex tilted his head in confusion. "I might not be someone like that, you know."
"One look is enough for me, especially since nature is dancing in joy around you. Let me introduce myself again. I am Mirhan, Nature Spirit. Because of my identity, I am able to control a portion of nature itself, so my ability is suited to maintain all these books, preventing them from rotting. I might not be as strong as Milady Lin Xingzhi, but I am still strong enough to maintain this whole library by myself. If you want to know something, I will immediately grab a book that you want, so no need to hesitate to call me."
Alex raised his eyebrows and helped the old man up with a smile. "I am thankful for your loyalty, and I won't betray your trust. Glad to work with you again, Elder Mirhan."
"Hoho… Just call me Old Mirhan, Your Majesty. This Mirhan can't take you acting this polite to me." Mirhan chuckled.
"Yeah. Nice to meet you, Old Mirhan."
"Yes." Mirhan then glanced at Korzan before realizing what he wanted. "Since you want a planet, which planet are you searching for?"
"I was going to find the lower world called Agar World. That was the planet's name where His Majesty raised in power." Korzan answered.
"Very well." Mirhan nodded and headed toward a single ball and looked at the information. "This is it."
"As expected of you, I am still wondering how you can memorize these planets' position." Korzan sighed in defeat while glancing over these few tens of thousands of planets.
"I can memorize all these 371,938,139,594 books and their position. Do you think a few planets like this can hinder me?" Mirhan shrugged before taking out a compass from his Space Ring. He extracted a portion of energy as the array inside the compass shone before suddenly pointing in a new direction.
He then handed the compass to Alex. "This is the compass, Your Majesty. You only need to follow this compass, and you should be able to find the planet. If you want to go back, you can push the red button on the bottom, and it will reverse the flow of energy, making the compass pointing at Eulja."
Alex looked at this wooden compass and checked the red button. "Ehm, thank you."
"You're welcome."
