"…"
"Just kidding…"
Alex was speechless. He never thought that his previous self could joke something like this, especially with that serious face.
He took a deep breath and shook his head, regaining his focus back from the earlier joke. "Ehm… What is inside that?"
"Before telling you what is inside, I am going to explain some things here first." He waved his hand, pointing at the other four doors. "First of all, you can take everything you want inside these four gates. However, there is a limit to that."
"A limit?" Alex squinted his eyes.
"Yes. You can only take everything from one gate to every single star you have. In other words, if you choose to get all the money inside the third gate, then you can't take something from another gate. Only if you reach Rank 9 God, you may come back here to get another one. And it will repeat until you get all of them."
Alex looked down and thought. "Why though?"
"I just want to see my own judgment." Alexander smiled, hoping that the current him could make a good judgment, so he could place Eulja and all the families in his hand.
Alex also arrived at a similar conclusion, but the most important thing he noticed was the fact that he could already get one of them right now. In other words, the past him had already started judging his decision ability.
"I see." Alex then glanced at the fifth door as if he was trying to get that one.
"This fifth gate is something off limit. If you are still too weak by the time you need to face the beast, you can finally open this gate."
"…" Alex narrowed his eyes. "You are not going to tell me?"
"Nope. I know your feeling. I was also pissed off when someone hid something like this, but this was something necessary."
Alex fell silent for a few minutes as they stared at each other as if they were thinking something. In the end, Alex nodded with a sigh. "Alright. I won't say anything about the fifth gate for now."
"Good!" He nodded and asked, "So, which door do you want to choose first?"
Alex contemplated for a moment and pointed his finger at the fourth door."
When the previous him saw this, he smiled and said, "Interesting choice. Do you mind telling me the reason why you choose this door?"
"I still need to practice Alchemy and Array since it's a very different style between a Rank 8 array and a Divine Array. The same applies to Alchemy. Since I can get ten years, I better consolidate my power first before cultivating higher.
"And there are still my Martial Arts. I have a few in mind, but I need time for those techniques. At the same time, my own Divine Spear Technique has yet to be created, so I am planning to consolidate my foundation as a God Rank Expert first before doing anything else."
"Yes." Alex nodded before looking away. "Well, I also have one more reason…"
"And that is…"
"I am confident that I can learn everything within ten years while having enough time to reach Rank 9 God. This way, I can open one more gate, right?" Alex smirked.
"Heh…" The previous Alex made the same smirk as if they thought alike. "Then what will you choose next?"
"I can't say right now because it might change later, but I will choose either the first door or the third one."
He nodded and approved his choice before waving his hand. An array emerged from the door and melted as the door gradually opened from the inside.
"When I activate this, you can feel it, and your ten years are there. The room is spacious and the wall is thick, so you can just destroy them if you can. As long as it is not completely destroyed or combine with another room, it won't affect the time flow."
Alex nodded as he walked toward the door, finding a dark room. He couldn't see the end of the room, so he knew that the room should be enough for a little rough treatment.
"Thank you." Alex glanced at him as he smiled.
"Get stronger, will you?"
"Of course."
The door soon closed as Alexander raised his hands. Two arrays appeared, activating the room. However, this also took quite a big power from his body as it gradually turned translucent.
"Haiz… I don't have much time." He sighed while taking out two papers. He wrote a few things before placing one of them inside the fifth gate while the other one on the floor. "This is my last message for you. Treasure and protect them… Future me."
His body began to disappear as a scene flashed in his mind.
Five thousand years ago.
In the middle of outer space not far from Eulja stood one person and one creature.
That person was none other than Alexander Sirius. His golden hair was swaying even though there was no wind around them while his golden eyes were emitting light. The golden crown on his head was shining brightly as the blue gem in the middle of it was releasing Divine Energy.
He looked at his tattered clothes and injured body before taking a deep breath.
In front of him was a giant beast that couldn't be described in a simple word. The body was that of a dragon, but the head was that of a snake. His arms looked like bear's, but his feet appeared to be a phoenix's talons.
His wings also came from another species which looked to be a vampire bat, but he had two pairs of wings, whereas the other one looked like a bird's wing.
"Haha… To think there is someone like you protecting this world." The beast laughed while staring at Alex.
"Shut up, you monster. You better go back to where you belong."
"Hmph! I have praised you, but your power is still too low for me."
"My power might be lower than you by a great margin, but you can't use the majority of your power when coming here. So, it is only a battle between two God Kings!" Alexander looked at him with his Spirit Eyes, knowing how powerful this monster was.
Even if there were three of him, he might not be able to cut this monster down when he used his full power.
"As expected, you could see through me. You are the first one to be able to see through my power. Forty God Kings have died by this hand, but none of them was as strong as you. In that case, let me see whether your power can stop me." The beast smirked.
A Fire flared up and covered his feet. Metal clothed his two hands. His feathers wings began to produce white light, while the vampire wings produced the black light. At the same time, his body emanated water while his head released a powerful wind gale.
Alex narrowed his eyes and noticed how powerful each element was.
"Hehe… I have merged my body with all those beasts that are supposed to be the strongest in terms of their elements from another universe. In other words, you are fighting against me, who currently has all six major elements. Do you think you stand a chance even if the majority of my power can't be used?"
"Six major elements huh… I have nothing to say about that because I am familiar with them myself… In fact, I am thankful that you are not a ridiculous monster. It will become a problem if you have Space or Time element or even other elements." Alex only smiled while clapping his hand once.
A circle appeared behind him and created a hexagram where four corners were connected to the circle's line.
In each corner of the hexagram flashed a color. They were red, blue, yellow, green, white, and black, whereas there was a single translucent golden circle in the middle of the hexagram.
"Hoh?!" The beast furrowed his eyebrows before raising both of his hands.
Alex also raised his hand as the diagram behind him shone.
The fire appeared on their hands as they shot it at the same time. Both of their flames were red, but the clashed between the two made it orange.
Both flames were trying to swallow each other, but neither of them succeeded, making a torrential flow that gradually turned into a giant ball and exploded.
*Boom!*
The explosion was like that of a sun appearing before them, but soon it disappeared due to the lack of oxygen here. The channel of their Divine Energy had also been cut, so there was no way the fire could survive.
Not wanting to lose, both of them sent their second element which was the water.
Just like the flame, both of them were equal, canceling each other element.
It was different when the third element struck forth.
For the third one, Alex decided to use his earth element instead of his lightning. Meanwhile, the beast decided to use his paw.
It seemed both of them were trying to have a fist clash for the third round as they leaped toward each other, covering their hand with their respective elements and throwing their fist.
*Bam!*
The clash produced a shockwave that blew away the asteroids around them. However, the beast smirked this time as he pushed Alex back as his metal clothed paws managed to destroy Alex's rock stone.
"Kh!" Alex clicked his tongue as he knew he had lost in that earlier exchange.
"Haha… Element is my forte, so you won't be able to win!" The beast laughed.
Alex spun around and waved his hand as if he was throwing something. From his palm, lightning flew toward the beast and turned into a lightning dragon, trying to swallow this beast.
The latter simply looked without any interest while releasing wind power. But this was not a normal wind power. When it engulfed the dragon, it started melting the dragon.
"…" Alex couldn't say anything because he had realized it with his Spirit Eyes.
"Haha… This wind of mine came from the Nine Color Snake, so it carries its poison attribute as well. I don't have six elements, but seven."
"…" Alex watched his dragon got melted to perfection before he gritted his teeth and sent the last two elements at the same time. These white and dark balls flew forward while spinning.
The beast raised both hands as something covered both his paws. It was as if there was a ball with a face in each paw.
When he waved them forward, the balls expanded, and the mouth opened up, swallowing the two balls. The white creature swallowed the dark element while the black creature munched the other one.
Alex widened his eyes for a second.
"It can negate the explosions of both elements?" Alex murmured as he never thought that the beast in front of him could do something like that. There were not many people that could do it, so he was slightly surprised to see a beast using such a technique.
"Heh! It seems this is my win. Time to see what kind of technique do you have to be confident in stopping me!" The beast roared and charged toward Alex, feeling confident in facing Alex, especially after destroying all his elements.
"Not necessarily so!" Alex smirked. A golden sword appeared on his right hand while a silver spear showed itself on the other hand.
"!!!" The beast widened his eyes as he raised both hands to block this attack.
Alex jumped forward and waved both weapons.
"Kh!" The beast looked at both hands as his white and black creatures were destroyed by that single swing. "You…"
"You have been underestimating me this whole time, so why don't you keep looking down on me? This way I can get the advantage…" Alex smiled while pointing his sword at the beast. "Who will win? We won't know until one of our heads fly!"
"…"
