"Master… I am sorry for losing my exposure. And he is also—" Stina immediately tried to become dignified in front of her master, the one she owed so much.
Alex only shook his head and smiled. "Family is the number one. I will probably like Kyle if something happens to my family, so let's check your daughter first."
Hearing this, Kyle tried hard to calm himself and bowed to him.
They then disappeared simultaneously, leaving the clueless angel behind.
Not long after that, they had finally arrived at Phoenix Continent, flying above them and heading straight to the castle.
"Where is my daughter?!" Stina shouted, trying to alarm the entire castle.
One of the elders instantly appeared as soon as she heard the sound but dumbstruck by the sight of Stina appearing before them. She kneeled in front of her and let out tears as if she just saw a saint.
"Her Majesty has finally returned."
Stina shook her head and replied. "Only for a few days to a week. I need to go somewhere again. Where is Ellen? What is her condition?"
"She…" The elder looked down, wondering how to explain this.
"What the humans and the elves did?" Stina released her killing intent, surrounding the entire castle.
"Her Majesty Ellen has reached 3-Star Martial Emperor, but because of our fault, her cultivation has gone. If Your Majesty wants to kill us, please kill us. We deserve death."
"Ah… How wonderful today's weather is? It's a bit cloudy and windy. Tonight will be so dark. It's perfect to light up a torch to brighten the world." Kyle opened his eyes wide. There was no killing intent in his words, but everything he said was true.
"Kyle…" Lin Xingzhi's soothing voice resounded in everyone's ears.
The elder thought she was going to stop Kyle, but it was only five percent right.
"Just make sure to leave some, so they can reproduce themselves so as to not destroy this world's species. And there is that woman who had a certain relationship with Alex in the past. Except her, you can do whatever you want."
Kyle heard it and questioned her, "Lady Lin Xingzhi, it's rude for me to ask, but is there a need to spare some of them? I understand about that woman, but—"
"Has revenge clouded your judgment? Alex is a human too, and some elves are good-natured like the ones in the world where Alex met Alicia, Firia, and Sherry. Just put enough fear to make sure they don't want to antagonize your family again."
"!!!" Kyle bit his lips and took a deep breath. "I apologize. I will surely remember your words."
"I understand." Kyle then glanced at Stina, and the latter stared at the elder, asking her to lead them.
The elder instantly rose and went inside the castle. Going through a few hallways, they ended up in front of a giant room sealed from any other place.
*Bang!*
The elder pushed the door open, revealing a woman resembling Stina sitting on her bed with a sad look.
When she heard the door open, she uninterestedly turned her head.
Stina was terrified by the looks she was giving. It was the face of someone who had given up on everything.
Something in Kyle's heart just broke as he staggered and fell on his knee right before the bed. He held his daughter's hand and cried. "Ellen…"
Light gradually returned in Ellen's eyes as she muttered in a low voice. "Fat…her?"
"Yes, this is your father. This is your useless father who couldn't even protect you from something like this."
Stina teared up as she fell on the floor.
"Mother is there too?" Ellen tried to turn a bit more to see Stina but unable to see her as her eyes were hollow.
Alex activated his Spirit Eyes and noticed something more important as he abruptly exclaimed. "Y-your wings…"
"!!!" Stina drew a gasp as she ran toward her, placing her hand on her back. "Where is your right wing?"
Alex glanced at the elder and asked, "What has happened?"
The elder gritted her teeth and finally told the truth. "There is a big war against the two influences. When Her Majesty led our force to strike them back, she fell on her ambush. A few elders died, and her majesty got her cultivation removed and one her wing cut. If not because two elders sacrificed their lives, she wouldn't be able to get away."
"Kyle…" Alex called his name as soon as the elder finished.
"Master?" Kyle turned his head with a dreadful expression.
"Tonight. Leave no one alive!" Alex knew that there were many innocents and good people, but this hatred couldn't go away. Whether he would be regretting it in the future or not, he didn't care. The wing was a kind to a symbol of identity for a phoenix. And if that was taken away, it was like taking a horn from an ogre that had two horns.
No wonder Ellen was reduced to this state.
The anger that he had contained this whole time had broken through the cage that held it in. He walked toward Kyle and placed his hand on Kyle's head, revolving the seal he placed on him.
His power gradually returned to Martial Emperor, and the message was pretty clear for him.
However, Lin Xingzhi interjected before they could do anything with that strength. "Wait a minute. I don't want to hinder you anymore, but there is one more important thing to do."
Alex and Kyle felt her gaze was not directed at them. Instead, it was on Ellen.
"The Phoenix has rebirth ability, right?"
"Yes. But it's merely restarting our life over, and she needs strength to do that. However, there is a big flaw in the rebirth technique." Stina gritted her teeth and turned around, slightly pulling up her shirt to show a few scratches on her back. "We will start again, but our body is not. When I was undergoing my rebirth process, I realized that I would have the same adult body. Only my memory and age were reset."
"I know, but there is one thing that is capable of solving that… No, I should say one person." Lin Xingzhi glanced at Alex.
"!!!" Stina widened her eyes and realized what she was talking about. She rushed to Alex and kneeled, placing her head on the ground. "This might be this slave's selfish wish, but I wish Master can grant this slave's selfish wish."
Kyle even let go of his daughter and did the same as Stina.
The method she was talking about was the second rebirth from Alex's Pure Fire. Just like how it was going with Kyle, there was a chance of her restoring her former body by using Alex's Pure Fire, let alone the Godly Pure Fire from Phitrus.
Seeing this, Alex bent down and helped them up. "What Slave? I don't know anything about that. What I know is that I have two family members that need my strength. Since that is the case, I should help, right?"
"Master…"
"That is if she is willing though." Alex glanced at Ellen.
Ellen heard this as well and saw her parents. She tried to reach out the edge of the bed and begged Alex to do it, but she had become too weak to do so.
Alex then walked toward her and sat on the bed, asking. "Now, Ellen. I am sure you have realized what is going on, but I will explain it to you once again.
"The thing is... My Pure Fire might be able to restore your body, but that kind of thing can only happen for those that have Master and Servant Contract. In other words, I will be your master. Of course, I don't plan on having you as my servant and let you do whatever you want in this world just like how your parents wish for. Even so, the identity is still there. What do you think?"
Not having the strength to kneel, her body bent down as she asked. "Please, let me serve you, Master."
Her complexion turned better as she got the will to live again.
Alex patted her head and smiled. He bit his finger and smeared her forehead with his blood as he closed his eyes.
Sensing the energy trying to come inside her, Ellen let it do whatever it wanted. The little shred of her energy responded and submitted to this energy.
Only with this that the Pure Fire could finally flow.
"I, Ellen, shall serve you as your servant." Ellen smiled as she entered the life and death contract with Alex.
Alex channeled his Pure Fire, and her forehead started glowing.
Ellen began to absorb the Pure Fire and Alex's Divine Energy. However, Alex didn't have such a thing right now, so he gathered all the Spiritual Energy as a replacement for his Divine Energy. And this was also to let Ellen stay away from Divine Energy that might upset this world.
Warmth feelings started enveloping her body as she slowly floated to the air.
Alex's Pure Fire flared up and turned into a cocoon, hiding her inside. This process took two hours before the cocoon cracked.
"!!!" Stina and Kyle anticipated greatly, but they were afraid that it couldn't restore her wings. Nonetheless, they would never blame Alex and even thank him for putting in such efforts.
However, Alex could already see what was going on inside the cocoon. It might be in the form of energy, but Alex could see a pair of wings inside there.
When it cracked, Ellen leaped out, revealing her current appearance. It had no difference in particular, only her wings that looked different. Unlike their usual orangish-red flame, she had an unusually red fire that looked like Alex's Pure Fire.
This certainly baffled everyone, but when they thought he had become a Divine Being before attempting this, it made a little sense.
They then continued to see Ellen, who was stark naked due to the flame melting all her clothes. At the very least, she had no more visible injuries on her body.
Alex also checked her inner strength and found nothing wrong. Hence, he concluded that it was a success.
"There is no abnormality in her body anymore."
"Ellen greets Master." Ellen kneeled on the bed, completely unaware of her current appearance.
"Master! Thank you!" Stina and Kyle shouted as they felt overjoyed and moved at this moment.
"I will let your family have a talk first." Alex waved his hands and brought Lin Xingzhi and Zark away. "I will be going to the little courtyard I had in the past."
Ellen stretched her hand toward Alex but ended up retracting it. She then kowtowed a few times, showing her thanks until Alex left the room.
It was at that time Kyle and Stina threw themselves at her, couldn't contain their sadness, anger, happiness, and many other emotions they had contained in their heart.
"I am sorry for worrying you two," Ellen gently said as she felt guilty for making such an appearance earlier.
The two then had a great chat.
…
After settling everything, Kyle was the first to arrive before him.
"The sun is almost set, it seems you are ready." Alex looked at him without any expression.
"Yes, Master. I am really grateful to you for saving my daughter. If needed, this life is yours to take."
"Let's not talk about that anymore. As long as your family is fine, I am happy too." Alex shook his head before his expression turned serious. "Anyway, there are many innocents in the two territories."
Kyle bowed his head.
"But I have no intention in telling you to spare them. Rather than thinking of a million bystanders, I am rather taking care of my family members." Alex's expression turned serious. "Leave no one alive."
"I shall light up this World Tree as a bonfire for you!" Kyle clasped his hand and disappeared.
