932 How Do You Fight?

Name:Gacha Sovereign Author:Fixten
This way, Alex and Aria had even more freedom to move around the area as Alex wanted to check what kind of secret this island held.

He knew that the island wasn't supposed to be able to permeate this type of killing intent to its surroundings, so he knew there might be something in this island that created this effect.

He wondered if it was related to the Sword God, but he couldn't see it in another two weeks because he needed to lower Melvie's suspicion.

With that thought in mind, Alex often let Aria fight alone, giving her a precious experience. Alex kept criticizing her every mistake, and eventually, the mistakes never appeared again. Aria's movement became even more precise and sharper.

After a week, Alex knew that they had grown accustomed to the environment, making sure that this wouldn't bother them in the slightest. Aria also showed him that she could defeat six turtles they killed on the first day in a single slash. It just showed what kind of monstrous progress she had during the past few days.

When Melvie checked them, she was completely stupefied by Aria's change. It was too different. Just like Rose and Evelyn after the hellish training, what they lacked the most was experiences. With enough experience, Aria should have no problem killing a 2-star Martial Saint. She could also fight a 3-Star Martial Saint toe to toe despite being a 10-Star Martial Monarch.

As soon as they got the confirmation from Melvie, they headed toward the inner area. And as they expected, the energy surrounding it increased. If their ability got suppressed ten percent by the killing intent in the Outer Island, they would get double of that.

Fortunately, Alex and Aria had rendered this ten percent effect completely useless. So, when there was an additional ten percent, they only felt that ten percent.

If it were other people who only got used to it, they would at least feel a fifteen percent restriction. Aria understood this after Alex explained his plan and felt the benefit.

When they met their first opponent in the Inner Island, Alex immediately leaped backward. It was a 2-Star Martial Saint Lizard, so he planned to have Aria handle this alone.

"Aria. Kill it."

"I understand." She nodded and checked the lizard before the lightning started sparking all over her body. "I might need to use eighty percent of my power."

"It's fine. Let's use this chance to accumulate experience to make you even stronger." Alex smiled.

"In that case, I have no worries." She smiled and leaped toward the lizard.

Aria smiled as she became even faster when the lizard's hand almost reached her by pouring a bit more energy to her lightning element and feet, resulting in her fastest speed.

Realizing that she couldn't aim at its head because of the slap, she followed the direction of the hand and aimed at the other side of its body, slashing the right side of its abdomen.

"Ugh… I used it wrong." She gritted her teeth and blamed herself because she almost slipped when she landed on the other side. "One more."

"Second Dance. Flash Strike."

She appeared right behind the lizard before it was able to turn around and struck her sword on it.

However, the lizard's instinct was sharper than she predicted. It only shifted its body before sending its hand again on her path.

"Sh*t!" She gritted her teeth as she couldn't avoid it because of her high-speed movement. Fortunately, Alex had improved this move and turned it into a dance. If it was the past her, she wouldn't be able to use the next move before she landed on the ground, but this time, she managed to do it and pointed her sword at the lizard's hand.

"Third Dance. Spinning Star."

"Roar!"

The next instant, the lizard felt immeasurable pain as it saw its palm got pierced.

Aria looked at the hole on the lizard's hand and sighed in relief.

The lizard obviously didn't want to let her have such a feeling. It immediately threw its other arm as if it predicted Aria managed to create a hole in its palm.

Looking at the giant hand that almost struck her, lightning suddenly connected her body to the ground as she used that connection to stabilize her form and swung her lightning sword.

"Fourth Dance. Lightning Draw!"

She sheathed her sword first before drawing it at lightning speed, cutting the palm into two.

The lizard screamed in pain but still released another attack with the first hand.

Unfortunately, Aria didn't want to create more opportunities and leaped toward the lizard's body with her sword sheathed.

"Heavenly Lightning Claw." It was the same sword draw as her Lightning Draw, but the lightning movement was different. Instead of concentrating in one spot, it went to left and right, creating three slashes next to each other as if there were three swords cutting the lizard at the same time.

The blood started flowing out of the wounds as the lizard took a step back, knowing that it had lost too much blood.

Aria used this chance to release her last attack. "Fourth Dance. Lightning Draw."

She used this technique to slice the lizard's neck. She then used its body as a cushion for her to land before glancing at Alex.

"I am sorry." She apologized. Although she said she would go with eighty percent of her power, it didn't mean to use excessive Spiritual Energy. Her consumption was still around twenty percent of her Spiritual Energy, but it was already beyond her expectation. She thought she could kill the lizard with only ten percent, but the lizard moved perfectly, forcing her to change her form again and again.

"It's fine. I have expected such a thing since the gap between you two is big. In fact, I expected you to use thirty percent of your Spiritual Energy." Alex waved his hand as if it was not a big deal.

"I don't know if I should be happy because I have beaten your expectation or should I feel sad because you put the bar too low." Aria sighed.

"It's up to you." Alex shrugged.

"I will take that as a compliment then." She nodded before feeling the lizard. "Still, to think I can kill a 2-Star Martial Saint monster now…The hellish training is indeed powerful, even though it's painful and tiring. I am glad to keep practicing without complaining."

"My training is simple. You only need to break past your limit again and again. For example, I give you a chance to run as long as you can and allow you to raise your hand when you think you are at your limit. At that time, I simply ask you to do one more lap. If you can do it, I will make you another more lap. This will keep repeating until the end of time." Alex shrugged.

"Indeed. Although it was not running, I had felt that you were doing it intentionally. I tried to keep doing it and realized that I would slowly get used to it and made my limit even higher. It's a kind of torture, but the effect is apparent." She nodded.

"Of course, this training is not suited to normal people, and I can solve any kind of injury with a pill, so there is no side effect with this training. However, if you have a low mental strength that will make you keep going, it's futile because you are just a quitter." He shrugged.

"I wonder if your disciple actually underwent training like this too…" She asked.

"Yes. She was much younger than you though." He nodded.

"What is her strength?"

"Above you, of course. I won't say the specific as it will destroy your confidence."

She pouted before smiling. "It's really fortunate to have you as a teacher. Why don't I worship you as my Master now?"

"Nope. I won't accept it. I have too many problems already, so I will solve this issue first before thinking of accepting another disciple." He shook his head.

"Well…" Aria looked around and decided to change the topic after knowing that Alex held a big principle about his responsibility as a master. That was why it was hard to have him accept you to be his disciple. She then asked, "By the way, I am wondering if you can show me how do you fight a group of monsters without using your real power? I mean, your body is a Divine Body, right?"

"Me? Sure. Let's search for a group of monsters." Alex nodded and headed toward another direction, where he found a total of ten 3-Star Martial Saint wolves.

They immediately charged at him. Suddenly, a dragon appeared next to him and flew toward the monsters, trying to swallow them. Most of them jumped over it while two of them got swallowed by the dragon and disintegrated by the Pure Fire.

Meanwhile, the wolves that had leaped to the air realized their mistake when they saw Alex already swinging his sword.

"Mythical Fire Slash."

That single Sword Wave flew to the wolves and killed all of them before it got disintegrated because Alex didn't want to catch people's attention.

"That's how you do it…" Alex glanced at her, who dropped her jaw. "I made them move according to my way. Of course, they need to be in a position where they can't avoid this. With eight wolves jumping together side by side and had the same strength, I believed they had the same height when they jumped.

"Then, I started swinging my sword and adjusted the aim in the last second, so the wolves didn't have enough time to avoid it. Also, with the dragon's giant body, the wolves couldn't see my movements, so they couldn't predict or see my attack." Alex explained in a simple way.

Aria knew that Alex didn't use his Divine Body or anything extravagant, but it turned out that the gap between them was so big.

Not to mention the fact that Alex's age was so young to the point she could be his aunt instead.

"I am wondering what kind of hell you have seen during your journey." Aria sighed. On the other hand, she sympathized with him. To have this kind of experience and thinking, he must have gone through a lot and absolutely a lot of killing.

"It's nothing special." Alex shook his head.

"Well, I don't really need your answer, but I need to thank you. I learned a lot from seeing what you did alone." She smiled.

"It's fine. We better start moving again." Alex shrugged.

"Sure."

The two then disappeared again, moving toward their next destination.
