Chapter 993 - Going

Name:Gacha Sovereign Author:Fixten
Due to that event, Alex focused on his training and slowly regained his calm. He had sworn to settle their relationship at another time, even if it meant ignoring her letter. After all, this wasn't something that could make it over.

Aria soon realized the missing Silvia and asked Alex. However, he only said that she had something to do in her home, so she returned. Not only after, Navin, who wasn't informed by the whole situation, came to Alex.

"What do you want?" Alex asked with a serious expression. If it was Navin alone, he believed he had become stronger than him, so he wasn't scared of him.

"Nothing. I have gotten the information about the young lady, so it's time for me to return." Navin shook his head. "Do you know about the reason why I attacked you back then?"

Alex furrowed his eyebrows. Lin Xingzhi seemed to know about the reason, but she refused to talk. And this had been in his mind this whole time, so he answered. "No."

"My eyes are a bit special. They are called Time Eyes. Although their ability varies, mine can see someone's lifespan. After calculating everything, I found your report and noticed your lifespan. I noticed that you might be the key to break the chain of lifespan that binds people in the Universe.

"It's as if the universe is going to end. So, I try to gather people that might become the keys in the future. But I can't find people like that every so often. The reason I became the Palm God's disciple was due to the fact that both the young lady and her father were the keys to this mystery."

"So, what is my lifespan?" Alex asked.

"I won't say the details, but it's less than a hundred years."

"I see." Alex sighed. "It seems I won't be able to solve it."

"No, no. That's not what I mean. I have said about the key, but imagine a tree. The main trunk has a few branches, and those few branches gave birth to many more branches. This is time. There are so many factors that will shape the branches of your future, but you can only take one.

"For example, in the future, you will meet your demise, but because you gain something precious and change your fate, the future will change according to it. That's why your time will be extended or decreased, depending on your action.

"It will keep changing, so I can't really say the exact details since it won't be precise due to the reasons above. Anyway, the future can be changed. Even if I can see that your lifespan is extended to a ridiculous degree, I won't say that nothing will happen to you.

"And your enemy might also get the transformation they needed to defeat you. So, all I can say is good luck. I hope you have enough time to become strong enough to save the universe."

Alex closed his eyes, absorbing the information he just gave. "I will only save my family, not the universe."

"Great." Navin nonchalantly commented as if he didn't care about his answer. Whatever his motivation, he would get involved in this and needed to see it through, so as long as he dealt with the problem, he didn't give a damn to the motivation.

"By the way, I am Alexander Sirius." Alex stretched his hand, recognizing Navin as one of the fighters that might be useful for the future battle against that beast.

"Olsen, Navin Olsen."

They nodded at each other, knowing they would be fighting their own battle in the future despite having the same goal.

"Good luck."

"You too."

After the small conversation, Navin finally left the world.

Alex, on the other hand, let out a long sigh. It had been a hectic few days. He found Aria kept practicing and smiled. "It's time to practice I guess…Besides, I have to go to the auction in a few months. It's better to prepare myself."

They then trained together for a few months. Alex became more devilish from that point on, torturing her with even more training.

Despite cursing him right on his face, Aria didn't skip a single training, so Alex just followed her and had a spar with her every now and then to keep her motivation up. It turned out to be pretty effective since Aria cultivated even faster.

Alex also got the report about what happened to the Palm God in detail. It turned out that Silvia indeed left her family, saying she wanted to live alone for a period of time.

The result was the Palm God sleeping outside the house without being able to do anything, including go to an inn. The wife was so furious that it might lead to a divorce, but for her kid to have a home to return, she decided to forgive him and punished him in this way.

A few months later.

In the house, Aria slowly rose from her bed and sighed. "I collapsed again. Why did I always collapse before him, and even though I tried to wake up as soon as I could, I never saw him collapsing? No, that freak was even more resilient than Mya."

"Sigh. There is no end if I talk about him. I can talk a lot about him, but at the same time, I don't know anything. And now, we need to go back to the Luzear Family to attend the auction. I am a bit worried." She furrowed her eyebrows.

When the date became closer and closer, she eventually got a weird idea that she never had with Silvia. There was this repulsive feeling that they shouldn't go to the Luzear Family as if something would happen.

Unlike Silvia, Nella Luzear looked like someone who had a hidden intention in pursuing Alex. She didn't know whether it was her instinct to protect someone who would become her boss in the future or something else, but she still kept this in mind.

"Whatever the case, I should be wary against her. Nyx may look like he knows everything but my sense as a woman is far sharper than him…Yeah." She nodded with a serious expression before coming out of her room, finding Alex, who had been waiting for her, sitting on the couch.

"It's time to go." Alex rose from his seat and waved his hand.

"Yes. I have also brought a formal "dress" for this auction. Considering the scale, I do think I need to dress up a bit." She smiled sweetly as if she was eager to show it to him.

Alex didn't know why but since Silvia's disappearance, she became more conscious of him. He didn't know the reason, but his closest thought was that she worried about him and saw the weak him, so she tried to cheer him up.

Either way, Alex knew that the time they needed to part was near, so Alex didn't put much thought into it.

"That's good. You must look stunning." Alex nodded. In fact, she herself was beautiful. She refused to wear fancy clothes because she had been following the agreement to not stand out unless it was necessary.

Although the main agreement to become someone standing out was half-completed, Alex believed it was enough to make the focus of Ilevis on her.

Alex also had adjusted his plan a little bit and focused on her instead.

With that thought in mind, Alex and Aria flew toward their next target. Their destination was the Luzear Family that would hold their auction in a few weeks.

The trip took slightly less time than the previous one. It might be due to her becoming a 6-Star Martial Saint. To compensate for her strength, Alex also raised his cultivation stage, but only to 8-Star Martial Saint.

As soon as they arrived in the same city, they found two soldiers in which one of them recognized them. It turned out that he was the soldier that stopped them previously.

Normally, they would go to the Luzear Family and showed this letter to them, signaling their arrival, but Alex didn't really want to have a relationship with them. And even Aria suggested having a room in an inn.

Alex and Aria then headed straight to the inn, taking the closest one from the auction house.

When they arrived, they saw many expensive decorations covered with gold.

'Is this because of the auction? I feel that the decoration is not supposed to be here since it's too extravagant.' Aria asked.

'I don't know. Since it's the closest, it may have some connections with the Luzear Family,' replied Alex while searching for the receptionist.

When he found the counter, he and Aria walked toward him and asked. "Is there an empty room?"

"I am sorry, Sir. We have been reserved by the Luzear Family to allow only the people who will participate in the auction to stay here until the auction starts." The receptionist politely apologized and explained the situation.

Normally, someone would try to mock him by not knowing his position, and Alex didn't want to experience something like that. Hence, he instantly took out the invitation that Nella gave back then. "I am a participant too."

"Oh, I apologize. May I check your invitation, Sir? This is the process that everyone needs to go through."

"It's fine." Alex nodded and handed the letter.

The receptionist didn't open the letter. Instead, he went straight to the blue seal that kept the letter closed and took out a certain device.

When he saw the writing on his device, he was shocked and almost dropped the device to the ground. He sweatdropped and instantly handed back Alex's letter.

"If I did something wrong, I would like to apologize."

"It's fine, you didn't do anything wrong. So, how is the invitation? Can I stay here?" Alex asked politely. Since the other party didn't treat him unethically, he didn't mind giving them respect too, no matter how weak they were.

The receptionist repeatedly nodded and stretched his hand to the side. "I will personally guide you to your room."

Alex and Aria exchanged looks and nodded. "Please."

The two followed him to the highest floor.

"There are only three VVIP Invitations that the Luzear Family handed…The reason for that is the floor. On this floor, there are only three rooms to serve the VVIP guests. If you need anything, please notify us. We will do everything to satisfy you." The receptionist nodded. "I will guarantee it as the head of the receptionists."

"Alright." Alex nodded. "I will be relying on you if I need something."

"I am honored."

Alex then went to his room and instantly activated his Spirit Eyes. He found many God Rank Experts staying in this building, but the most noticeable ones would be those on the same floor.

He recognized their strength since they were Rank 6 Gods.

"I found my way to kill myself and blow it up to a greater scale." Alex smiled.

"Hmm?" Aria turned around and furrowed her eyebrows. "What did you say?"

"Nothing." Alex shrugged. "I just want to warn you that there are many God Rank Experts around us. So, take this with you."

Aria felt Alex's movement and stretched her hand. When she felt scrolls on her hands, she opened her eyes. "What is this?"

"Teleportation Array Plate. Divine Rank ones. You might need to use it later."

"Is that so? Well, there are many experts around this, so if you are targeted, it's hard to imagine you fending them off." She nodded and stored the scrolls inside her Space Ring.

"By the way, here is for you." Alex handed her a book and a letter.

"What are these?" She asked. Alex had been acting weird since they came to this city, but she also couldn't understand what he was thinking.

"You can only open the book when you reach God Rank while you need to open the letter after we leave this city. Can you promise me?"

Aria became even more suspicious but still nodded her head while storing the items inside her Space Ring. "I understand. I promise you."
