Chapter 1122: Great War Part 4

Name:Gacha Sovereign Author:Fixten
"Life and Death Coffin, activate."

The Life and Death Coffin suddenly emitted a black aura before a bright white light shone above it. The white light turned into a watch while the black aura transformed into its arrows, showing a certain time. It then projected a number.

10,000

"Ho, it seems your lifespan is around ten thousand years. I guess we should decrease it for a bit." She smirked as she released her killing intent.

"You are Life and Death Goddess. Impossible. You should be dead by now." The bear widened his eyes as he couldn't comprehend the entire situation.

"I have died one time and I don't think I won't feel the second time on the battlefield. Hence, I need to eliminate you first here." She smirked.

"Hmph!" The bear was unconvinced of her strength and charged at her. "Then, I will kill you here right now."

Suddenly, the same black aura gushed out of her right hand and turned it into a claw. The same applied to her other hand as it was enveloped by a white aura.

"Die!" The bear slashed his sword down. The sword was supposed to be huge and the momentum was powerful enough. Even Lin Xingzhi needed to avoid this attack.

But this might also be the reason why Alaya asked Lin Xingzhi to watch this fight instead of helping the others. She wanted to show her something.

The moment the blade reached her, it was stopped abruptly by a small hand covered in a white aura.

Alaya raised her vision with an uninterested face before she shattered that sword so easily. "Hmph."

"What?!" Lin Xingzhi and the Metal God widened their eyes in surprise as they couldn't comprehend how Alaya destroyed that attack. Strength wise, there was no way that Alaya was stronger than the Metal God, but the thing she showed earlier…

Before they could react, Alaya leaped toward the Metal God and plunged her hand toward him.

The Metal God threw a punch, confident that he could take her attack.

Seeing this, Alaya also clenched her fist and clashed with the Metal God.

The black aura erupted as it flowed toward the Metal God's body.

Excruciating pain started to spread all over his arm as he purposely got launched to avoid that attack. He noticed that black aura still lingered around his hand, so he reinforced it with his Metal Energy.

"What is that?" The Metal God furrowed his eyebrows before noticing something important. "Wait, what?"

9500

The count on the clock of Alaya's Life and Death Coffin decreased to 9,500.

"That's a good amount of life force. It's truly something good." Alaya smiled.

"!!!"

"What did you do?" The bear snarled and turned his blade into two claws. He waved his hands and extended both claws at the same time. With this, Alaya shouldn't be able to take it pm like his sword since there were eight of them coming from two sides.

But the bear seemed to still underestimate Alaya's power. Alaya waved her hands and released a crescent-shaped white and black aura toward the claws. "Life and Death Misery."

Surprisingly, it broke the claws so easily.

The bear was taken aback and panicked for a second. Alaya narrowed her eyes before looking at the count that had yet to decrease.

"It seems I need to get serious," Alaya muttered as a shadow appeared behind her. The shadow turned out to be a skeleton, holding a giant sword as if it wanted to kill someone.

Alaya released another wave of Life and Death Energy into her weapons which were the claws.

Suddenly, Alaya's white claw turned into another form.

"That…" Lin Xingzhi narrowed her eyes as she felt an immense Life Energy inside it. "The claw turns into a knife, but I feel that one is even more dangerous than its previous form…"

"What that small knife can do? A weapon should be like this." The Metal God snorted and extended his sword again, swinging it to cut Alaya.

Alaya simply had no interest in that sword and struck that sword with her small knife, shattering it like nothing. "What weapon? Did you say this sword is your weapon? But how could it be so weak?"

Alaya yawned before the Metal God spat blood as if something was taken from inside his body. The counter then once again decreased by five hundred.

"What did you do?"

"Nothing. I simply swung my weapon. To think your weapon was so brittle. I'm shocked." Alaya shrugged.

The Metal God gritted his teeth and raised his sword, turning it into a spear. The moment he thrust it, the spear extended toward Alaya's head.

She should be able to avoid this attack easily, but Alaya decided to take it head-on, showing the supremacy between them.

When her knife hit the spear's blade, it sliced through the spear as if it was butter. Alaya didn't stop there and flew forward, cutting that long spear into two.

Even the Metal God needed to change his plan and chopped the spear before turning the rest into a sword.

"Ha!" The Metal God struck Alaya, only to find her shatter his sword again.

These two began their clash as Alaya kept destroying his sword. And every time the knife hit his sword, one hundred years' worth of lifespan disappeared.

The Metal God coughed blood but still struggled to break Alaya's sword.

Alaya took this chance to fake her swing and aimed for his heart with her black hand instead.

"Kh!" The Metal God clenched his teeth and dodged to the side.

Unfortunately for him, Alaya managed to grab his shoulder as a replacement and took another five hundred years from him.

After the count reached five thousand years or half of the original number, the Metal God noticed the sudden decrease of his power. Although it wasn't that big of a deal, he knew that as time passed by. To avoid getting into that situation, the Metal God seemed to have gathered his resolve to die trying.

Sensing that determination, Alaya jumped back to gain distance while staring at the bear with a serious expression.

"Well, since I'm known as Life and Death Goddess, I think I should have another weapon that befits someone like me. At least, it should look like the image of people." Alaya said nonchalantly as if it was that easy to abandon one's weapon.

However, Alaya never had a weapon of her own, so she never cared about the shape of her weapon. She covered the knife with the white aura and turned it into a larger form. The blade curved and the handle extended. Yes, this was a scythe.

"Ahaha. This is good. As expected of me." She nodded with a smile.

"How dare you look down on me this whole time." The bear gritted his teeth and released all of his power at once.

"Despite gaining the power of metal, you have no real knowledge about using it." She shook her head in disappointment.

"I am a God King. I comprehend the Metal Law."

"No, you do not. The thing that allows you to become a God King is the parasite in your body, which is your real body. In other words, you are not a true God King by this universe's measurement. But let me praise you since you have done your best to learn something from this universe to strengthen yourself.

"You are indeed more powerful than your previous self. Though, I doubt that you are the same thing like those in the past. Probably, you are just another imitation that bastard beast's created to mess with this world.

"Fortunately, we can find you this soon, not allowing all of you to plant all your roots in this universe and destroy it. I won't allow it." Alaya smirked. "The battle five thousand years ago was bound to fail no matter how you saw it. But this time… We could see the chance."

"Haha, chance? Your chance is merely one percent."

"Is that so?" Alaya smiled and disappeared, heading straight toward the Metal God.

"Divine Extension."

The sword expanded both in length and wide, trying to pierce Alaya.

Alaya avoided it by leaping to the left, but the Metal God spun his sword and waved it to the side.

Unfortunately, Alaya predicted it and struck the blade's body with her scythe from above, shattering it.

"Damn, damn, damn." The Metal God gritted his teeth as every time he swung his blade, not only would it break, but his lifespan got sucked.

Alaya kept flying forward despite the hurdle she faced on the way. Blood began to come out of her mouth and nose as she truly reached her limit.

"You have reached your limit. As long as I can withstand this attack, I can defeat you. I will torture you first before killing you." The Metal God saw this as a chance as he turned his blade into a sword and a shield.

As soon as Alaya appeared right above him, he raised both to block her attack.

"As I said earlier, if you are a proper Metal God, you will be able to block this attack. However, you are too ignorant." She sighed as she swung her scythe down. "Life and Death Cycle. Unending Samsara."

"!!!" The scythe surprisingly went through the sword and shield as if it didn't even matter. At the same time, it cut the Metal God from his head to feet, splitting him into two. Yet, his body was still intact. "This… This is not a weapon to cut the physical body… It's for the soul!"

The realization, however, came too late. If this were Fire God or Space God who learned one Element Law, they would be able to materialize that element to withstand this cut, but with the current level of the Metal God, it was impossible to prevent this cut that aimed for its soul.

"Impossible." The Metal God gritted his teeth before spitting a mouthful of blood as he saw that his count reached zero.

"It's time for you to die." Alaya smiled and waved her hand. "Life and Death Coffin. Judgment Time."

The coffin suddenly opened its lid, showing endless darkness inside. The White Aura then turned into a chain and tied the Metal God before pulling it into the coffin.

The Metal God struggled but to no avail. He couldn't even manifest his power anymore. "No, no! I don't want to die! This is not the place I can afford to die."

Alaya only closed her eyes as the Metal God entered the coffin. His shrill gradually turned into silence as if something was chipping his life away.

"Hmph." Alaya harrumphed as she looked at the Life and Death Coffin. The voice was already gone, meaning that the bear had died. "Show some respect to your elder, idiotic boy."

"…" Lin Xingzhi sweatdropped as she thought. 'I'm sorry.'
