Hearing the voice, Fu Yan looked around to see who was calling him but was unable to find the source of the voice.
As he looked around and tried to find who was trying to call him out, Jing looked at him and asked in a cute voice.
"Brother, what are you looking for?"
Listening to Jing's voice, Fu Yan snapped back and looked at her with a smile filled with warmness and shook his head as he got up and walked towards her.
Just when he was about to reach her, he heard the voice again but this time it seemed desperate as it was shouting.
"Snap out of it. You know they are not alive. They are not real so don't let it consume you."
Fu Yan stopped as he held his head to try and understand what was happening. He sat down where he was and screamed with a voice full of agony.
"Just leave me, I don't know what you are talking about. They are real" Fu Yan said as he looked towards his family who surrounded him with eyes full of worry.
Shaking his head, Fu Yan tried to stand up as the voice again sounded but it seemed weaker this time.
"Don't let it consume you. You still have to get revenge for your parents. Please don't give up. None of this is real but if you stay here you can never see them again as this will only be your imaginative world. Please fight it."
The childish voice seemed as if it was crying at the end as the voice became fainter and fainter.
Hearing this Fu Yan looked around as bits and pieces of his memory started to become clear. Suddenly for some unknown reason anger started to build up inside him as he looked towards the roof and let out a furious roar that contained anger and grief.
After this Fu Yan looked towards his family and at Jing who was looking at him with a worried face as she brought her arms forward to give him a hug.
Fu Yan tightly embraced her as he gently gave a kiss on her forehead and stood up, turning towards his parents who were also looking at him with worry.
Fu Yan walked to his mom and without saying anything he gave her a hug as his face rested on her shoulders.
His mom embraced him back as he gently patted him on the back while asking if everything was ok.
Fu Yan gave a gentle nod while a tear escaped from his left eye even though he tried his best to hold it back.
Leaving his mother, Fu Yan turned towards his father who gave him a gentle pat on the shoulder.
Done with all this, Fu Yan gave Jing another hug as he walked away from them and looked at them from a distance. His mother and father stood where they were with Jing standing in the center.
They looked like a perfect family as Fu Yan gazed at them with eyes filled with tears. As he tried to walk further away, Jing suddenly asked why he was going away from them if he loved them.
Fu Yan smiled hearing this and replied with a warm tone.
"I love you. I love you a lot, more than myself. I will give up everything for you but I can't stay here. I need to get some things done that cannot be done while I am here."
Tears started to fill his eyes again as he looked at them but he suddenly turned around and walked towards the main door of the house.
Reaching it, Fu Yan opened it and walked out of the house while Jing was calling him from behind to not go away and stay with her.
Fu Yan tried his best to bear with it and did not turn back and walked towards the light he saw outside the house.
Reaching the door made of light, Fu Yan touched it, when suddenly everything vanished and found himself in a container filled with some strange liquid while he had a mask on his face.
Seeing him waking up, Casper who was standing outside the glass container, seemed happy and walked towards the container.
"Master, you suddenly fell down so I had to bring you to this medical container to care for you."
Fu Yan calmly listened to Casper as he tried to move his body but felt that he did not have the energy to lift even one finger.
Slowly opening his mouth, Fu Yan inquired in a weak voice as to what happened to him.
"Master, your cell activity suddenly fell way below your normal levels and it was depleting very fast as if something was consuming it. While we provided your body with enough nutrients, we checked the cause and it was your brain that was constantly devouring energy."
Fu Yan listened to this as he thought about the cause and came to a conclusion that all this happened because his level suddenly improved and when the Library gave its rewards and tried to improve his brain neurons, the body was not able to handle the sudden change.
After thinking about the possible cause, Fu Yan closed his eyes again as he felt too tired when he suddenly remembered something and looked towards Casper.
"Was there someone else here besides you?"
Hearing this question Casper seemed confused for a bit and replied.
"No Master. As your personal assistant, only I am allowed to leave my duties to attend to you. As for other workers, they can't leave their posts."
Fu Yan closed his eyes again after getting the answer even though it was not what he was expecting.
While he closed his eyes, Fu Yan thought about the voice he heard and the dream he had. Even though it was a dream for him, It felt too real, and that voice and light too.
'What did that voice mean by not letting it consume me? Is there something inside that is trying to take over me? Is it related to my emotions being out of control from time to time.'
Fu Yan pondered about the possible reason but was unable to come up with an answer as just thinking these things made him feel fatigued.
Five hours passed and the liquid inside the container had become transparent after all the nutrients inside were absorbed by Fu Yan's body.
Feeling quite better now and confirming that the abnormal consumption of the energy had stopped, Fu Yan came out of the container and asked Casper to bring him his belongings.
Receiving the order, Casper brought out the book and other stuff as Fu Yan wore his earthly clothes.
While he was wearing it, Fu Yan felt something amiss and tried to find out the reason for it and noticed that his pendant was missing.
It was a simple pendant made of a silver-like substance that his parents gave him 2 days before their departure and being killed.
He cherished that pendant a lot and never took it off. Turning towards Casper, Fu Yan inquired about it with an anxious tone as it was the last memento of his parents.
"Master! While we were trying to put you in the medical container, we took everything off your body but when we tried to take that pendant off, you held on to it even while being unconscious. So had no choice but to keep it on you as we put you in the container."
Fu Yan listened to this and asked with a furious tone.
"You let it on me so where is it now?"
"Master after we put you in, it suddenly started to melt in the medicinal fluid and completely dissolved."

The main reason for not writing was that I had no internet the past few days so please forgive me for not being regular.
