At the Cyber Police office, Hou Jie was extremely angry. Even after spending so much time, they were unable to find the culprit behind the attacks, and on top of that, the attacker was so cunning that the moment they tried to bait him, he would vanish, so they were getting baited instead! This was beyond embarrassing for the Cyber Police office.
As soon as they would restore a site's security, and the moment they went to another site, the previous one would get hacked again, and the article would be back up. In the office, everyone was furiously typing on their keyboards. But all their efforts were in vain.
Hou Jie was pulling his hair due to this matter; he knew that if he did not handle this matter, then he'd better say goodbye to his post. He knew the power the Wen family held in the city and did not want to disappoint them.
He looked at the junior officer who was standing in front of him and asked:
"You and 20 men can't even find one trace of the attacker. Tell me, are you all vegetarians or did you come here through the back door? A bunch of useless fools who can't even do one job assigned to them."
The Junior officer had his head down and dared not confront Hou Jie. After Hou Jie stopped talking, The officer sighed and nervously said:
"Sir, the opponent is too smart for us to handle. We are trying our best, but no matter what we do, he reverses it. First, we thought it was a group of attackers, but after we fought with them, we came to know that it's just one person, and he is the top in this field. To be frank, he/she can be called the God of Hackers with his skills. We are all professional, but he is something else. I…" He paused here and looked at Hou Jie for confirmation to continue.
Hou Jie looked at him and said.
"Ok, go on. Tell me how we can handle him."
The Officer wiped the sweat from his forehead and said.
"Sir, I suggest we contact the national agency and ask them for help. They are the only ones who can handle this matter now. Maybe, no, I am sure that only the top talents there can be their opponent."
Hou Jie looked at him with cold eyes, then picked up a file and threw it towards the officer.
"Get out of my office! Useless idiots who can't do anything! Get out!"
The officer quickly evaded the file and ran out of the office.
Hou Jie leaned back on his chair and then sighed. He closed his eyes to think for a while and then picked up the phone and dialed a number.
The ringing tone came for a while, and then the call connected.
"Who is this?" A cold and emotionless voice came from the speakers.
Hou Jie gulped and then nervously replied.
"Sir, it's me, Hou Jie from the Cyber Police Branch of City Z."
There was silence for a while, and then the voice came from the speakers.
"Oh, Hou Jie. Well, how come you have called us today? Is there a problem?" the voice asked in the same emotionless tone.
Hou Jie wiped the nonexistent sweat and replied.
"Well, sir, we have encountered a problem, and my whole team is unable to solve it. You see, someone hacked a news site at first then posted an article there. We tried to remove it but could not. So we could only shut down the site, and then the same person started to hack other sites and blogs to post the same article, and the same thing happened. We tried our best to catch that person, but his skills are beyond us. Now he has hacked many national-level sites and posted the article there. So I was hoping you could help..."
Before Hou Jie could finish, the voice interrupted him and said.
"Well, Hou Jie, we all know it was not the work of the cyber police to meddle in this matter, and I think I also know who asked you to do this. If it were before, then my answer would have been no, but now that it's a national level hacking matter, then I will involve myself since it looks like this hacker is mocking us. Well, you called me earlier than I was expecting. My team is already looking at this matter. We were just gathering data, but since you asked for help, then ask your team to send all the data they have to our servers. I will give them access for 10 minutes. Make sure to do it within this time frame."
Hou Jie sighed and then hurriedly replied.
"Please don't worry, sir. I will make them send data immediately. Thank you for helping me. I..."
Before he could finish, the call got disconnected. Hou Jie placed the phone on the table and then stood up. He walked outside in a hurry and then reached the working area.
He went towards the same junior officer and said.
"Ok, I have talked with the national agency, they will handle this matter now. You guys are now to immediately stop working so that you won't clash with them and cause a delay. Also, send all the data you have to the national agency's internal server. They have given you access for 10 minutes."
The junior officer stood there with a blank look in his eyes. Hou Jie looked at him and roared.
"What are you waiting for? Hurry up and send the data. Go!"
The junior officer immediately sprinted towards his co-worker and told them to stop what they were doing, and then started to upload all the data they had to the national agency's server. Every cyber police branch knew about the internal servers of the federal agency, but no one had access to them. Even if they got access to them, they would only have it for a short time, and this time never exceeded 30 minutes.
After he finished uploading, he got kicked out of the server.
Hou Jie also saw all this from the side. When he saw that all data was uploaded, he sighed with relief and went back towards his office.
He was not the only one. All the officers in the cyber police department were also relieved. They were under a lot of pressure from the moment the attack started. Their opponent toyed with them, and they could do nothing about it.
They were happy that they wouldn't have to deal with such a terrible opponent and wished that they never had to.

In the national agency, the person who talked with Hou Jie was sitting in his office with four screens in front of him. Numerous lines of codes were flashing on them, and he was looking through them.
He was extremely focused on looking at the screen that he failed to notice his secretary, who came in. His secretary coughed but got no response. Seeing this, he sighed and placed the file on the table with a little force.
"Mr. Ma, We have received the data from City Z, and we can start working on it now. Do you need us to share the data with you."
Ma looked at the file which was filled with printed copies of the data they got from the Hou Jie and replied.
"No, I will be coming with you. I want to see who this person is, that dares to be this arrogant."
His secretary nodded and walked outside of the office with Ma beside him. After walking for a while, they reached a dimly lit room that was filled with computer screens. Even on the wall, there was a huge screen that had different data streams running on it.
When Ma entered the room, some people lifted their heads and looked towards the door to see who came in and when they saw that it was their boss, they ignored him and then turned their focus towards the screen again.
Ma went towards the big screen and asked.
"So what did you get from the data? Is it worth it for us to involve."
His secretary nodded and replied.
"As they said, this person is top of the cream. His technology seems to be higher than ours, and if we want to compete with him, then we will have to involve all of the team. By all, I mean all members of the Alpha team."
Ma looked towards his secretary with confused eyes and asked in a puzzled tone.
"You mean everyone from the Alpha team needs to work to get a single person?"
His secretary nodded.
Ma sighed and then said.
"Ok, get them all here. They have 10 minutes to gather here. Then we will start. We don't have time to waste now. I really want to get this person. All right, go, what are you standing here for?"
