Chapter 124: Simulation Complete!

Editors and Proof Reader: Alterious, Dervish

Inside the top secret research base of country C, a man was working on a computer. His disheveled hair and bloodshot eyes showed he did not have a proper sleep these past few days.

Despite this, he was working on the computer with enthusiasm, as if a child had gotten his favorite toy to play with.

While he was engrossed in his work, a man in a military uniform walked in and stood behind him.

The man failed to notice this and continued to work on the computer. After a while, after he was done, the man in military uniform walked up and spoke in a soft but authoritative voice.

"Professor Chen, What's the status? Is this software really as it was reported?"

The man who was working on the computer looked back and took a glance at the military man and then shifted his attention towards the computer again.

"This software is really a holy grail for us researchers. I added parameters in the system for our last project without specifying many things and you know what result I got?" His voice contained excitement that could not be hidden.

The man in military uniform did not say anything and just looked.

Professor Chen continued and explained.

"All the results from the experiments that I performed, came perfect and matched with the results that we had performed physically. You know what that means? We don't have to go to the laborious process of doing things physically and we can achieve the same result with just 1/20 of the effort. It will not only save time but resources too."

Professor Chen explained as he looked at the screen with feverish eyes, as he had found his long-lost love.

The man in military uniform silently listened, and after a while, he spoke.

"So you are saying this software is as it was reported. So tell me if you use this software, can you finish your remaining projects faster? And how is the status for the cracking team? Can they crack its core program?"

A look of disappointment flashed past professor Chen's eyes, but he quickly hid it.

"They are working on it, but it looks impossible to be able to crack this software. Its encryption technology is too advanced. We have not been able to decipher even 0.1% of the program so far."

After saying this, he paused for a bit and then hesitantly asked.

"Do we really have to do this? It's a company from our own country. If we crack its technology and use it for military purposes then how can we encourage others to develop similar products and bring out innovation?"

The man in military uniform looked at professor Chen with a smirk, and then lightly tapped his shoulder.

"Professor Chen, you should work on what you are tasked to do. You should not worry about these kinds of things. Also, I don't want to hear such things from you again. Understand?" His voice contained authority and coldness that professor Chen trembled a little and then lightly nodded.

The man smiled, took a glance at the screen, and turned to leave. Professor Chen looked his back and turned towards the computer screen with a dejected posture.

He knew no matter what he said, the top military personnel would never consider his suggestions. All they see is what could bring profit to them. He knew that the future of the company was grim and that it would soon be controlled by the military or government.

Shaking his head, he put these thoughts behind his head and then started to work again.

Same kinds of scenes were happening in many secret bases around the world as everyone was trying to crack the code of this software.

So when Ken thought that his software was not that popular, he didn't know that he was extremely wrong and that his software was not only popular; it had caused a firestorm around the world.

The man behind all this commotion was currently sitting in his computer room and was looking at the screen in front of him.

The screen showed data about the current download and how many times projects were performed.

It also showed a chart about each user and how many times they requested to perform new projects after their free trial numbers expired.

' So even though there are few new users, the existing ones have purchased quite several simulation points. Anyway, it shows that the software is quite popular among those who discovered it. They are not hesitating while purchasing the simulation points. '

Fu Yan was quite pleased with what he saw. He knew that it would take time but after this software becomes mainstream, then his company is going to be famous and then he can proceed with his future plans.

He wanted to make this world a better place with technology. Making Earth civilization advance enough to be recognized by the Library.

Everyone has some love for their hometown and no matter how rich or powerful they become, they will always have a sweet spot for their hometown, as was the case with Fu Yan.

He knew there were many other planets in the universe with life on them, and they were much more advanced than Earth. After knowing about this, he wanted to do something for Earth.

He planned on opening a university after he became powerful enough to teach future generations about new kinds of technologies, but what he did not know was that the storm that was rising was ready to sweep him up along with his dreams.

Four days passed, and as Fu Yan had expected, his software was really on fire. Everyone related to the research community, VFX, film industry and Visualizers were talking about it.

The number of downloads increased, as well as the purchase of the simulation points. The amount of revenue soon exceeded $10 million dollars.

Fei Hong had called him many times these past days about many companies asking for purchasing the software and licensing, but Fu Yan told her no such cooperation would be accepted.

If someone wanted to use his software, they could download it from the official website and use it however they wanted.

Even though "EVOs" published this statement, the number of people asking for cooperation still did not decrease.

Fu Yan gave Fei Hong an open hand regarding matters of the company. She was allowed to do as she saw fit other than selling the software or licensing it to others.

Even Fu Yan said this, Fei Hong was worried that others might be able to crack their technology and use it for themselves so she wanted him to register the patent for it, but he refused.

"There is no need for me to register the patent. No one can crack my software. Unless they are willing to wait for 100 years, they won't be able to do it. So no need to worry about this."

Fei Hong could not say anything else after hearing this and chose to believe him. Fu Yan also instructed her to seek help from Jiao Mei regarding the legal process, if any problem arises.

After dealing with this, he sat down in front of the computer and then spoke.

"Qing, have you fetched files regarding my parents' accident from the police database?"

"Yes, Big Brother. All the data in police servers have been copied. There are photos of the tire marks and the side fence on the highway at the time of the accident." Qing's voice sounded in the room, and then the pictures started to appear on the screen.

Fu Yan looked at them and then said,

"Ok Qing, using this data, try to perform the simulation of the accident that day. Use every possible detail you can find."

Qing was silent for a while, and then she replied.

"Simulation is being performed. Expected time taken will be 2 hours and 13 minutes using the 40% computing power from the servers."

Fu Yan calmly listened and then leaned back in the chair. He did not know why, but suddenly he got the urge to perform a simulation of his parents' accident after the RL Simulator was completed.

While relaxing, his eyes were fixed on the screen where a timer was being displayed. Soon two hours passed and Qing's voice sounded in the room again.

"Simulation completed. Would you like me to play it?"

Fu Yan took a deep breath and then gave a nod.
