On a sequestered planet, at the edge of a dark forest that locals feared because of the frightening animals residing in it, a white light suddenly shined and a figure fell from it.
The place where white light landed caved in and the surrounding area was filled with white electric arcs.
Many animals came here after the commotion and tried to get to the figure but the lightning surrounding the pit made their efforts in vain.
After some time passed, the figure in the center of the pit moved a little and after some more time passed, the figure sat up.
After waking up, Fu Yan gently shook his head to clear away the dizziness and after he came to his senses a little, he looked around to understand what happened.
Fu Yan remembered teleporting away from [Ligrion] to the Library. As usual he was transported to the white space that looked like a tunnel made of light.
Everything was normal when he suddenly heard the alarm from the book on his chest and suddenly, a golden light slammed him from the side and then everything went black. Fu Yan could not remember anything else that happened.
Now after opening his eyes, when he looked around, Fu Yan understood that he was not in the Library but on some other planet.
Of course, all this was easy to deduce and Fu Yan could understand from all the events that he was attacked by someone.
But even after racking his brain, he was not able to come up with any reason for someone attacking him, and on top of that, the power they possessed was not normal. Being able to attack a Librarian and then not fearing retaliation was abnormal.
No matter how much Fu Yan pondered on this question, he was not able to come up with an answer. Shaking his head again, Fu Yan placed these thoughts behind and tried to stand up but the pain from his back and legs rendered his effort useless.
'It seems that some bones have been broken during the crash landing. I wonder if the emergency equipment is still useful.'
Thinking this, Fu Yan called up the transparent screen in front of him and then started to fiddle with it.
While looking at the different parameters, Fu Yan noticed a warning that was currently being displayed.
[Connection with the Library System Interrupted.]
Fu Yan tapped on the warning and then a detailed page opened up.x
[No Signal! Cannot connect to the Library communication system. New nodes are being searched to resume the connection. Current progress= 0.002% ]
'So cant go back to the Library. That's going to be difficult as the emergency ration and equipment won't last long.' Fu Yan thought as he went through other details.
[Armor Energy = 13%]
'That attack seemed to have consumed most of the energy so I can't depend on armor that much. I have to save this energy for emergencies because once it gets used up, if I encounter any life threatening problem, I will be at fate's mercy.'
After thoroughly checking everything, Fu Yan could not help but let out a sigh.
'Armor is at its lowest while all other systems are functioning normally. That means that I won't have a problem living here. It's just that the weapon system is damaged so I have to rely on myself. I hope that if there are people on this planet, they are not ridiculously powerful.'
Wondering that Fu Yan opened another menu, clicked on the emergency medicine and a small bottle appeared in front of him.
Gulping down the medicine, Fu Yan could feel his body slowly healing up and pain dissipating little by little.
'I am lucky that I consumed the 2nd dose of the [Gene Serum] before going on a trip and my body was strengthened a lot, otherwise, I might not have survived this.'
Fu Yan wondered as he gave his surroundings another look. Even though he thought that everything was normal, he failed to notice that he was behaving normally. His emotions, the way he thought, seemed to have returned to normal.
Even though some emotions were still suppressed, the way he thought and his actions were not under any kind of suppression. As for the golden light inside his brain, it seemed to be dormant and just stayed where it was without affecting other parts of the brain.
After some time passed, the lightning surrounding the pit started to dissipate and the animals that could not get near seemed to have sensed the changes as they again began approaching the pit.
Hearing the growls and howls, Fu Yan looked up and noticed the many strange animals surrounding the pit.
Feeling the danger, he hurriedly opened the panel and took out a knife from the emergency equipment, and then got ready for any kind of attack.
His injuries were not completely healed and he needed some more time to be able to move freely so Fu Yan hoped that the white lightning arcs could stay for a little more time.
But how could everything go as one hoped for? Even with the lightning surrounding the pit, a wolf-like creature could not hold on anymore and jumped towards him through the lightning.
Seeing this, Fu Yan tried to move his body again and felt that it was a lot better than before and he could move a little so without any hesitation, he moved to one side and swiped his dagger towards the incoming wolf.
The dagger drew an arc in the air and brushed against the wolf's skin. The moment this dagger touched the wolf, its skin started to tear open as if it was paper, and the next moment, the wolf was laying next to Fu Yan, divided in two.
Taking deep breaths, Fu Yan looked towards the wolf and then towards the dagger. Even though he expected that the dagger would not be normal, it seemed he still underestimated the emergency equipment.
Seeing the end of the wolf, many other animals surrounding the pit seemed to hesitate but that was only for a second as they began surrounding the pit again due to their carnivorous instincts.
But it seemed, no one else was going to jump through the lightning to reach Fu Yan. This gave Fu Yan some breathing space as well as time to heal his injuries.
After 10 minutes passed, Fu Yan could feel that all injuries were healed and his body was full of energy.
Fu Yan stood up and did some light exercise to know if there were any problems remaining but while exercising, he felt no discomfort.
"Ok, I am all good now. Now I need to get away from this place because their numbers are going to keep increasing. I wonder if this planet has intelligent species." Fu Yan muttered as he observed the surrounding animals.
After he was done assessing, Fu Yan gave the book on his chest a little tap and it became invisible. As for the armor, Fu Yan deactivated the shield to save energy and decided to use it as normal armor since it was made of metal.
He decided to hide the armor as well after he got out of this situation because he did not know whether this planet was advanced or not, or if there were beings stronger than himself. If someone were to covet his armor, he might not be able to defend himself with the little remaining energy if they were powerful so it's better to be careful beforehand.
Giving the surrounding animals a last look, Fu Yan assessed the best escape route and then suddenly darted towards one side.
The lightning was still surrounding the pit but after Fu Yan checked the wolf's body, he knew that it was not lethal and if he was fast enough, he might not be affected by it.
So coming to the edge of the pit, Fu Yan provoked one of the lion-like creatures, and when it lunged towards Fu Yan through the lightning, Fu Yan used this opportunity to get underneath it and left the pit.
After getting out of the pit, Fu Yan started running in one direction that he had decided before and waved his dagger towards the animals that came in his path.
All the animals met the same fate as the wolf and were cut in half the moment the dagger touched them.
Fu Yan kept on running while cutting down everything that came in front of him and soon left the edge of the forest and came to an open area.
As for the animals that were chasing behind him, they seemed to have stopped at the edge and did not come out to chase after him.
