146 School's ou

Chloe was rushing through the hallways of the school while holding her daughter's hand. The principal and her friend, Joseph, were right behind them trying to escape as well.

Every now and then the building would shake as if a small earthquake was taking place, but one look at the windows and they could see that the culprit was something else.

The shaking made the individuals take a small break from their dash to avoid tripping by accident, as well as to avoid the falling debris of the ceiling to drop on top of any of them. The little girl of the group, Claire, aimed her ember-colored eyes at the scene outside and took a glance of the fight, a massive ape with a body composed of never-ending flames going head-to-head with a pair of flying fire-breathing lizards.

It looked like a scene straight out of a movie. The sky beasts continued to release enormous globes of fire at the building as if they were practicing their aim, while the gorilla kept punching with its fiery fists each attack to protect the school.

"What is happening???" asked the young girl while gluing her eyes at the battle.

"Claire, the school is being attacked!! We need to leave now!!!" answered Chloe while pulling her daughter's hand and returning to their run towards the exit.

"This is awesome!!!" commented the young Joseph boy, who was looking at the confrontation as if he was in heaven.

"Joseph!! Let's move!!" shouted the principal to bring the boy back to reality.

The four individuals reached the entrance of the school where several other students and teachers were reunited and completely frozen.

"What's going on?? Why is no one moving??" Claire questioned as she noticed the mass of people just standing in place. She then realized that everyone was actually staring at a woman with long black hair and carrying a silver blade facing off against a trio of monsters trying to enter the place.

"Everyone!! Stay behind me!!" shouted the swordswoman while she blocked the attack of a beast that looked like a living piece of crystal in the shape of a crocodile with a scorpion tail at the end of its body and an extra pair of legs, making it look like some kind of insect.

The creature continued to try and charge at the students and teachers, but the woman was too fast for it to get to them. Unfortunately, there were more monsters right behind him.

There was one creature that looked vaguely humanoid with a pair of tentacles where its arms should be and with a body covered in mud that continually sprayed pieces of itself anywhere it stepped in.

Besides the mud-man, one beast looking like a dog of the size of a car and covered with metal spikes all over its body was also trying to attack the people trying to bite them with its massive jaw.

"Lilith!! I got everyone!!" Chloe shouted to the woman.

"Good!! Now we just need to get out of here in one piece!!" Lilith answered, trying to avoid being bitten by the metal-spiked dog.

Claire just stared at her mother who was talking with the woman as if they were friends and started to raise several questions on her head, "Mom?? You know her??"

Chloe kneeled to hug her daughter and tried to answer her question, "I do! Everything will be ok dear! She's here to keep us safe!"

Claire continued to watch while her mother's arms surrounded her neck like a scarf.

In the middle of the school's entrance, a woman with a silver sword was facing off against the bizarre-looking beasts by herself while the entire school gathered around her in a circle, trying their best to not get swallowed by on of them.

What's worse is that none of them could try to escape to another area of the building because the whole place kept being shaken over and over due to the still ongoing fight outside.

Claire was feeling so confused at that moment. One second, she was fighting against one of her classmates because he had ruined the work assignment her teacher had passed to her, which meant she would need to do it all over again.

And right now, she was completely shivering wondering if she would even survive the end of the day while seeing her school being attacked on all sides by weird-looking beasts and two giant dragons, making her previous issue look absurdly minor in comparison.

"What is happening??" Claire muttered.

The ceiling of the school suddenly started to fall apart and several pieces of debris started to drop on the position of the students.

"The three people right behind, give eight steps backwards!!" Lilith shouted, still engaging in her fight with the three monsters using nothing but her one silver sword.

The students behind her were looking confused at her sudden order but Lilith simply started to shout again, "HURRY!!! DO YOU ALL WANNA DIE OR SOMETHING?? DO WHAT I SAY!!"

The scholars decided to finally listen to her command and proceeded to move back as she said, and not even a second later, a massive piece of the ceiling fell right where they used to be. If these people were just one moment later, they would all have been crushed.

"The group of people on my right, get on the ground right now!!" Lilith yelled again.

The people circling her were more obedient this time and immediately lowered their bodies, followed by several pieces of the metal dog's spikes being launched and stabbing the walls right behind them.

The crystal crocodile raised its tail to attack Lilith from above, but Lilith was quicker and parried the attack with her sword. She spotted the metal dog leaping towards her from her left side and moved the scorpion tail at it so it would stab the canine right in its mouth.

The man made of mud tried to grab the woman with its tentacle arms while she had her back turned, but she simply jumped out of the way making the tentacles hit the crystal beast instead.

The beasts kept trying to attack her and pieces of the school continued falling over, but thanks to her ability to see the future, Lilith was managing to make her three opponents attack each other while also shouting commands to keep the people safe from harm.

The only problem was that using her power so much was starting to make her lose energy, so she decided to slash bits and pieces of the monster made of crystal to steal some of it and recharge herself a little.

The crocodile, however, became enraged and charged at Lilith. She used his anger against him and landed right in front of the mud monster for a few seconds, proceeded by jumping away once again. The crocodile and the mud-man clashed at each other and several puddles of mud started to be thrown around everywhere.

Lilith noticed that the crystal monster was blinded by the mud falling in its eyes and she used this chance to jump on his body and stab its head.

The beast shrieked in agony and started to run around like a bull trying to be dominated by a bullfighter.

Lilith used her sword that was engraved on the beast to control it as if it was a joystick and made it charge towards the school's wall.

Right before they crashed into it, Lilith jumped out of the crocodile's head and safely landed on the floor as the monster opened a hole towards the schoolyard.

"Everyone!! Time to go!! Now!!" Lilith ordered. The entire school followed her command and used the hole created by the blind beast to escape.

Lilith was in a dire situation right now. The people from the school were safe, but the battle with the dragons was still going on and the monsters were still around. Her power was starting to run out and her sword was still stuck on the crocodile's head, who kept running around completely blind.

"Lilith!! Are you ok??" Chloe asked while approaching with her daughter. She noticed that Lilith's eyes were glowing with some kind of golden energy.

"I could be better..." She admitted, "Is everyone out?"

"Yes!! We should leave as well!!" Chloe begged.

"We can't! If we don't find the dragon eggs, the parents will keep rampaging around..."

"Then what do we do?"

"WE, don't do anything! I will return there and look for the eggs. You take your daughter to a safe place." Lilith said as she started to walk towards the school, but suddenly found herself being stopped by a young boy gazing at her with wide eyes.

"You were amazing!!" Joseph said as he continued to look at Lilith.

"Uuhh... Thanks... Now please get to safety..."

"Will you marry me?" the boy asked while joining hands as if he was begging her.

"Sorry, I'm committed to someone else..." Lilith said while pushing the young man to the side.

"What!? To whom??"

The crocodile made of crystals suddenly started to scream as it charged its body towards Lilith's position. The woman turned around to prepare herself, but she noticed that the mud monster and the metal dog were also coming closer from her other sides.

It seemed that the creatures were really angry at her for getting on the way of their meal. Lilith was glad that they were no longer after the students, but she wished she still had her sword with her right now.

The beasts kept approaching and were about to catch her when a man jumped in front of Lilith and stabbed the crystal crocodile with a gauntlet made of silver metal in the shape of a claw, shocking the other beasts and making them stop on their tracks in the process.

Lilith kneeled down and grabbed Joseph's shoulder while using her free hand to point at the man, "To him!"

Joseph looked at the man, a lad who seemed to be in his mid-twenties with brown hair and a strong build, looking like he could stop a car with his bare hands. His arms completely covered with silver armor, so sharp that one slice would be enough to slash a boulder. His expression was of someone who was absolutely enraged from seeing the creatures trying to put something precious to him in danger.

"Are these guys bothering you?" Daren said while turning his attention towards Lilith.

Lilith kissed him as a thanks for saving her and grabbed her sword from the crocodile's head, "Not anymore!"

The couple then stared at the monster of mud and the metal dog. Lilith raised her sword and assumed her usual samurai stance while Daren sent a command for Marcus to make his claws even sharper.

"Ready?" Daren asked.

"Always!" Lilith responded.
