Jeremy's face twitched. He patted him on the chest and said,

"You had something to do with this, didn't you, Chester? Don't think I don't know how your dirty mind works."

"Sir, the light in the operating room was turned off."

The doctor nodded and said, "She may be able to recover soon, but it's also possible that she will not hear for several years or all her life. It depends on her physical condition."
