Nian Xi nodded. “We hope that he can get a transfer back here early this year. Tonight, some people from the military region will go to my home for dinner. Ji Chuan and I both need to be there.”

Luosang nodded and said, “Your father likes Ji Chuan.”

“Yeah, he was hoping that my brother could take over his duties, but my brother had an accident and returned from the army. So now he has no other choice but to pin his hopes on Ji Chuan,” said Nian Xi. “My dad wanted Ji Chuan to make some solid contributions out there, so he can get promoted in the future. Nian Xi smiled and said, “Sangsang, would do like to try one on? You’ve accepted my brother’s proposal, anyway. I’ll take a photo and send it to him.”

“No, I’m not the one who’s getting married. I’m a few years younger than you, so I have lots of patience,” Luosang said jokingly.

“Are you laughing at me because I’m older than you?” Nian Xi crossed her arms and snorted.

Luosang chuckled, glanced at all the wedding dresses in the display windows, and said, “Ah, I think this one is beautiful. The embroidery is exquisite. Are those diamonds or pearls?”

“Those are diamonds. Miss, you really have good eyes.” The store manager smiled fawningly, saying, “This is the most expensive wedding dress in our store. It is worth 68,000,000 yuan.”

Luosang gasped in shock. As she prepared to say the words “so expensive,” Nian Xi exclaimed, “So cheap!”
