Chapter 622 - They Needed an Opportunity to Reconcile

Luosang sat by herself in the café until nighttime. She finally made her way back to the apartment after a few rounds of patrons had left.

When Yan Su came home, she saw Luosang sitting by herself on the couch, deep in thought. She hadn’t bothered to turn on the lights. Yan Su was surprised when she switched on the lights, and she quickly asked, “What are you doing? Why didn’t you turn on the lights?”

“I’m thinking about some things,” Luosang said softly.

“Are you thinking about breaking up with Mr. Nian again?” Yan Su was examining her expression.

“No.”

“Well, you guys are stuck together like glue.” Yan Su began changing out of her shoes.

Luosang looked at her, ready to speak, but she stopped herself. She wanted to confide in someone. She hoped that someone could think of a solution for her. Xu Zhengxuan taught respectably for most of his life. She really wanted to clear her father’s name and punish Yi Jingxi accordingly. But Nian Junting was so good to her.

Even when he knew that her father had committed the act of indecency, he tolerated her unconditionally. No matter how much his family despised her, he never thought about giving up on her. Was she about to give up on him for Xu Zhengxuan? She didn’t want him to hate her. They could separate for the time being, but they needed an opportunity to reconcile.

“Hey, I’m beat after recording in the studio for the entire day.” Yan Su stretched her back and sat down beside her. The room was very quiet. Luosang didn’t respond. She sensed that something was wrong. “Sang, do you have something bothering you?”

“Am I being that obvious?” Luosang grimaced.

“Tell me.” Yan Su put her hands on Luosang’s shoulders.

“I’m worried that you’ll tell Junting. Don’t think I don’t know you’ve been tipping him off.”

Yan Su looked embarrassed. “Don’t worry, I won’t tell him you don’t want me to. I know what I should and shouldn’t say as your friend.”

Luosang hesitated before finally speaking.

“I’ve never met a more shameless woman than her!” Yan Su was furious after listening to her. “Nian Junting’s father must be so blind to fancy someone like her.”

Luosang sighed.

Yan Su looked at her and asked, “Are you really going to hurt Nian Junting for this?”

Luosang said, “I wanted to collude with him, but she said she wanted to watch it play out in real life. If she notices anything wrong, it would be catastrophic if she destroyed the evidence. Although I think that Nian Junting can be quite an actor, he does act quite dramatically.”

“That’s true, his acting is really… He can play a shameless man, but he’s not good enough to portray agony and sadness.” Yan Su shrugged. “But if you find another man, I don’t think he could ever accept that. What if he never agrees to reconcile with you?”

Luosang batted her eyes. “So I’m thinking, should I get pregnant first? When I get the evidence, I will go find him with my baby and tell him the truth. He can’t refuse a baby!”

“You are… pretty shameless yourself,” Yan Su said almost smiling. “But are you sure you want to be pregnant while you’re so young? You said you were going to wait two to three years. Childbearing is a serious commitment. You’re going to invest the peak of your youth in raising a kid?”

“I can’t think of a better idea. I have to get that audio clip. Ever since I talked to my dad about my mother and my brother, he has been dejected and demoralized. He doesn’t even care about my relationship anymore. He has been admitted to the hospital before. I got certified as a caregiver for him. I’m worried he can’t hold out any longer in there. Junting can’t seem to find any new breakthroughs with the case, either.”

Luosang was getting more anxious as she spoke about it.
