Chapter 849 - This Is for What Happened in the Lift Earlier. We’re Even Now

It was nice to go to school with her brother, but Luosang regretted it once they were on their way. The man next to her was too eye-catching. Everyone turned to look at them on the street and many girls looked at her with envy.

At the school gates, many fans and reporters were waiting. Most of the fans were there for Chi Shengxu, but there were some of Yan Su’s fans as well.

Luosang was used to it. It happened every new semester, but this year was slightly different. The fans were there for her good friend, Yan Su, and she was proud of her.

From far away, she could already see Yan Su giving out autographs with her assistant Jiao standing beside her, maintaining order.

There were always reasonable and unreasonable fans.

Suddenly, a man leaped towards Yan Su with a bouquet. “Yan Su, I love your voice. Will you marry me?”

Jiao was shocked and she quickly stepped forward to block the man. The man pushed her away and pulled Yan Su into an embrace.

The reporters surrounding them weren’t helping the situation by snapping photos.

Some of the fans were taken aback, and a few of them started screaming. The scene turned chaotic as everyone jostled each other.

It was an interesting story: Up and coming artist taken advantage of by her fan.

“That’s too much.”

Luosang was about to rush forward but Nian Junting held her back.

“There are so many people there. What happens if you get injured?”

Before Luosang could reply, another figure dashed forward.

Mo Liuxi sprinted towards the crowd and pushed the fans out of his way. He forcefully separated the male fan from Yan Su and threw a punch at his face. The man fell to the ground.

Yan Su was stunned when Mo Liuxi handed her his school bag.

“Hold on to my bag,” Mo Liuxi told her coldly and threw a couple more punches at the man who was climbing to his feet. He started kicking the man and only stopped when the man laid still on the ground.

The security officers had arrived at the scene and soon took the man away.

Yan Su, who was hiding behind Jiao, now heaved a sigh of relief, saying to Mo Liuxi, “Thank you.”

Mo Liuxi took his bag from her hands and quietly said, “This is for what happened in the lift earlier on. We’re even now.”

He swung his bag across his body and briskly walked away.

Yan Su was stunned.

Before she could react, a group of girls started gasping and saying, “Damn, so cool!”

“He was so good-looking!”

“There’s someone even more good-looking than Chi Shengxu in Ximei!”

The reporters were in a discussion as well. “Ximei has again enrolled an extraordinary talent this year.”

“Quick! Let’s snap more photos. This man is bound to be famous in the future.”

“Su, let’s go.” Jiao held onto Yan Su and started running into the school.

The fans wouldn’t be able to follow them once they were in the school gates.

Back in school, Luosang quickly reunited with Yan Su. “Su, that was too careless of you. How could you not bring a bodyguard with you?”

“I don’t like being followed,” Yan Su said sheepishly, “Jiao had communicated with the fans last night. She said the fans who were coming today were all part of the fan club. I didn’t expect anyone this extreme.”

“You should be more careful next time. Thank God Liuxi was around today. See. I told you he is a good guy even though he is a little unfriendly,” Luosang said.

Jiao laughed saying, “Right. That tall man. He looks like a Korean idol. He’s so handsome.”

Yan Su was a little uncomfortable thinking about what happened in the morning.

She wasn’t exactly grateful to him. If he didn’t mess up in front of her earlier, he might not have intervened at the school gates.

When they were at the entrance of the hill, Luosang was about to enter with Yan Su when Nian Junting suddenly grabbed her wrist.

“You’re leaving so soon? Aren’t you going to kiss me?” Nian Junting looked at her cheekily.

“Su, you go ahead first.” Luosang waved to her friend.

Nian Junting laughed. He had been waiting all morning for a kiss. Little did he know that Luosang was about to berate him.

“A morning kiss? Dream on after what happened earlier. If you weren’t going to help out, don’t stop me from helping my friend.” Luosang was somewhat angry. “Yan Su is a good friend of mine.”

Nian Junting frowned; he felt indignant. “She’s not my friend. If I had stepped in earlier on, the reporters would have snapped photos of me and they might’ve even concocted a scandal about me.”

“What if I didn’t go and you didn’t either?”

“The fans were blindly chasing after stars. None of them were going to help Yan Su while she was in trouble and the reporters were too busy collecting material for their next big scoop,” Luosang said heatedly.

“The school will maintain law and order.” Nian Junting was annoyed. “He couldn’t have done anything extreme in public.”

“You’re too much.” Luosang glared at him angrily and turned to walk into the auditorium.

When the ceremony ended, Yan Su had already become the hot topic online as the star who was taken advantage of by her fan.

Some of the reporters had recorded videos of what happened and Luosang was angry. People nowadays were so low, turning a blind eye to those in need and even mocking Yan Su for what happened.

When the two of them went to the canteen for lunch in the afternoon, Yan Su was pretty down.

“Don’t read the comments online,” Luosang said comforting her.

Yan Su said suddenly, “I wonder what Shi Xiang would think about this. I must have looked quite silly. I was so flustered and taken aback. He might laugh at me.”

Luosang was surprised and sighed for her friend.

She knew that Yan Su was working so hard to show Shi Xiang her spark and make him regret his decision. They were all women after all; strong-headed women.

Luosang caught sight of Mo Liuxi in the canteen and waved to him.

Mo Liuxi was carrying his food on a tray and walked over. Luosang smiled and said, “Thank you for today, Liuxi. You were really cool. Even your sister is charmed.”

“Hmm,” Mo Liuxi said casually as he ate his food with his head lowered. She seemed to be complimenting herself more.

The atmosphere was a little low, so Luosang added again, “Those reporters are really too much. How can they post videos online?”

Mo Liuxi swallowed his food and looked at Yan Su who looked tired. “If you can’t handle this bit of drama, you should just leave the entertainment industry.”

“…”

Immediately, Yan Su’s small face turned pale.

“I’m just telling you the facts,” Mo Liuxi added.

Yan Su tightened her grip around her chopsticks.

“What’s wrong? Are you upset over what happened this morning?” Chi Shengxu waked over with his food. He had dyed his hair an ash-grey over the holidays and he still looked rather handsome.

“I didn’t expect Chi Shengxu superstar to come to the canteen,” Luosang said, quickly changing the topic.

She was going to break down if she spent any more time with the two of them.

“I knew my old friends would be here somewhere.” Chi Shengxu looked a little hurt. “Unlike someone who didn’t bother to contact me at all.”
