At around 9 a.m., An Ning walked over with breakfast in hand the moment Mo Liuxi entered the school gates. Her eyes were still red and puffy.

“Liuxi, I made this myself today,” she said. “You can try it.”

“I’ve had breakfast already,” Mo Liuxi replied.

He found her irritating. He didn’t feel that way at all when he had breakfast with Yan Su. They were both women, so why was it so different?

Mo Liuxi lowered his head and stared at An Ning. Her features were cute, and she looked bright and youthful. It was a completely different look from Yan Su, who appeared quiet and demure.

“What’s wrong?” An Ning was blushing as he continued to stare at her.

Mo Liuxi suddenly bent his head and pushed her against the wall. He slowly lowered his lips.

An Ning’s heart was beating quickly. She shyly closed her eyes.

Mo Liuxi stopped when he was inches away from her lips and backed away.

An Ning waited for him to kiss her for a long time before opening her eyes. He appeared to be deep in thought. “Liuxi…”

“I wanted to try to kiss you,” Mo Liuxi casually said, “but I found it hard to actually do it. That makes me question if I could even desire you when I was drunk.”

An Ning’s face went pale. “What… What do you mean? I like you, and I gave you my first time willingly. How could you say something like that?”

Mo Liuxi rubbed his eyebrows and said, “You saw for yourself, I really tried to kiss you, but I lost all desire to do that once I saw you. I tried to accept you but I failed. If I date you, I wouldn’t be able to kiss you, nor will I ever be able to erect for you. You are so young. How could you stand a life like that? I don’t think I should put you in misery. Goodbye, don’t come and look for me anymore.”

He turned to leave.

An Ning was speechless. She quickly grabbed him. She was on the brink of tears as she pleaded, “Liuxi, you can’t do this to me, I…”

“Don’t tell me about how it was your first time. It was my first time too,” Mo Liuxi was increasingly frustrated. “Even if I were drunk, I can remember that you were the one who initiated it.”

An Ning opened her mouth but could not say a word.

“You can just dismiss my first time just because I am a man, right?” Mo Liuxi asked.

“Well… I can take responsibility for you,” An Ning stuttered.

“I will never have a desire for you in my life, and I don’t plan on being a monk.” Mo Liuxi said before walking straight into the classroom.

He finally felt the burden released from his chest. Although he felt like he was being irresponsible and shameless, neither of them would be happy if he forced things to work.

Besides, who knew if it was really An Ning that night? She did have a track record for lying.

When classes ended, Zhang Hongchuan called out to him, “Liuxi, how about a game of basketball?”

“No thanks, I’m going to buy chicken wings from the supermarket today,” Mo Liuxi said as he threw his backpack casually over his shoulder.

Zhang Hongchuan was speechless. “What is a good-looking man like you doing cooped up at home? Go back a little later. Come on, let’s go.”

He dragged Mo Liuxi to the basketball court. There were a few sophomore boys from there who were tall and hunky. They had attracted quite a crowd of girls who were cheering them on.
