Chapter 1027 - What are you doing forcing a little girl to drink?

Li Ming looked at his grinning face. He looked like he had just won the battle. He was nearly speechless. “You just caused him some trouble this afternoon. Do you really have to seek trouble whenever you meet him?”

“Yup.” Mo Liuxi nodded his head. “I feel like I’ve finally met my nemesis.”

“…’

“Don’t worry. After today, I won’t go looking for trouble as long as he stays out of my way.” Mo Liuxi patted him on his shoulders.

Yan Su returned to her seat, keeping her eyes on the two men. She heaved a sigh of relief when Mo Liuxi returned to his own seat. However, Shi Xiang’s face looked aghast, and she had a bad feeling about it.

Jiaojiao remarked, “Do you get the feeling that your boys have caused some trouble? You’re having a headache right now, aren’t you?”

“…”

Yan Su rubbed her temples. She did have a headache. She just wanted to finish the meal and leave the place as soon as possible.

As the banquet started, Li Ming began speaking. Shooting would begin the following month on the 26th of December.

Li Ming went around the banquet hall, toasting everyone. As a prominent and experienced director, he was humble and friendly.

After he’d toasted everyone, everyone at Yan Su’s table began toasting each other. Soon, people walked over to Li Ming’s table to toast him.

Since everyone else had walked over, Yan Su had to walk over with them, her fruit juice in hand. After what had happened last time, she’d decided to lay off the alcohol.

As a lady, surrounded by all these big-shots, she was a little nervous. It was an entire table of investors and producers. She had to learn to socialize with them in order to make it big in this trade.

“Director Li, Producer He, and all the seniors, allow me to toast all of you. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to take part in this project,” Yan Su said.

Just as Yan Su was about to drink, a bright-faced, middle-aged man suddenly interjected. He’d clearly had a few too many drinks already. He covered her glass and said, “Little girl, we’re all toasting with alcohol here, what are you drinking? I believe it’s fruit juice.”

Yan Su wasn’t familiar with this man; she had never met him before. Since he was sitting at such an important table, he was likely an investor.

He must have had too much to drink. He was staring her at slyly.

Mo Liuxi was also sitting at the same table. He gripped his glass tightly, glaring at the man.

Yan Su was feeling awkward now. She quickly explained, “It’s not that I’m not willing to drink, I just don’t hold my alcohol well. I can get drunk on one drink and I don’t want to embarrass myself.”

“It’s alright, I can send you home if you get too tipsy.” The middle-aged man leaned over to her. He had been sitting there for an hour already and there were many stars who had already come forward to toast him. Everyone else in the cast was someone famous or someone more senior than Yan Su. It was rare to see someone so fresh and young. She looked pretty and cute, kind of like a university student, and he had the urge to bully her.

In a moment of rashness, he grabbed Yan Su’s wrist. “Come on, have three drinks before you leave.”

Li Ming frowned. “Mr. Jia, what are you doing, forcing a little girl to drink? This is not just anybody, this is Star Music and Culture’s singer, Yan Su.”

“Old Li, don’t be a drag. I’m not asking for much, I’m just asking her to have some drinks with us. She came over voluntarily, I didn’t force her to do anything. Don’t be such a Debbie-downer,” Mr. Jia said lazily.

Li Ming didn’t know what else to say.

The other people seated at the table were looking in their direction. Nobody looked like they were going to stop him. He looked anxious and frustrated.
