Chapter 1370 - Why Do I Think you Look a Little like my little Niece?

Yan Su’s heart was beating very fast now. It was the first time he had shown his intentions since they had reconnected.

Was he… thinking about the same thing she was? She felt a burning intensity in her chest.

She was so pleasantly lost in thought that she didn’t hear Mo Liuxi tapping his fingers on the table to get her attention. “Ahem…I want some more,” he said playfully.

“Me too,” said Yan Jin knocking on the table.

“Oh, sure thing,” she chirped happily. Yan Su was making wraps for Mo Liuxi while Mo Liuxi was making them for Yan Jin. When they had gone through nearly an entire stack of crepes, Yan Su said, “You guys are too much. I haven’t had a single wrap yet.”

Mo Liuxi and Yan Jin looked at each other in surprise and started making wraps for her. Mo Liuxi was naturally faster, but Yan Jin was no match for him. Yan Jin grabbed a few pieces of duck and made a sloppy wrap and handed it over to Yan Su. “Sis, eat mine,” he said.

Overcome with tenderness, Yan Su looked at the two wraps in front of her. The gesture was so sweet, and she felt loved.

She lowered her head and took a bite out of Yan Jin’s wrap. Mmm. So good! When she saw Mo Liuxi’s unhappy expression, she quickly took a bite of his wrap.

She ate both wraps even though she wasn’t particularly fond of Peking duck.

Nevertheless, she finished them both. Mo Liuxi and Yan Jin finished two wraps together.

Yan Jin was a glutton! He was crazy about Peking duck, but Mo Liuxi? Well, it wasn’t his favorite.

Yan Su crossed her arms and looked at him. “I remember someone telling Nuanyi that he wasn’t a big fan of Peking duck in the afternoon.”

“That’s right! And the reason is…every bite is so delicious.” Mo Liuxi looked satisfied after the meal. “Especially the skin, it’s sweeter than honey.”

“Agreed.” Yan Jin nodded his head emphatically. “This is a lot better than the duck places my dad has brought me.”

“You like it too?” Mo Liuxi’s eyes lit up. They gave each other an exuberant high five. Finally, they were on the same page. “I know a lot of other yummy restaurants in Beijing. I’m the most experienced and well-versed when it comes to food. Yogurt, milk tea, barbecue, ice cream–you name it. I know all the good spots. If you call me brother, I’ll take you out for ice cream after this.”

Yan Jin was elated. “Okay, okay, brother. Deal!”

Yan Su frowned. When she brought Yan Jin to the bathroom, she couldn’t help but say, “Jin, he managed to win you over with just a little bit of food?”

Yan Jin looked at her and shrugged. “Sister, you’re too naive. We’re just acquaintances who enjoyed a good time together. Whoever invests more feelings will be the loser.”

“…”

She suddenly felt awful for Mo Liuxi, who was trying so hard to win over her little brother. It was a side of him she hadn’t seen before. Gosh, what a cynic her brother was at the tender age of three…

When they were leaving, Yan Su went to the counter to pay the bill, but the cashier told her it had already been taken care of.

She looked at Mo Liuxi with a confused expression. “I thought I said my treat?”

“This one’s on me. You can pay next time,” Mo Liuxi said lowly as he played with his car keys.

The next meal…

Yan Su’s heart skipped a beat when she was still in a daze. Mo Liuxi had already walked out of the restaurant with Yan Jin in his arms.

It was so cold outside that their eyes were tearing up. Mo Liuxi wrapped his coat around Yan Jin as he carried him to the car.

Yan Jin turned to look at him, his expression a little taken aback.

“What are you looking at, little man? Is it because of my looks? Mo Liuxi asked coolly.

Yan Jin scratched his head. “How come you look like my little niece?”

Little niece?

“You mean Yan Su’s daughter?” Mo Liuxi’s expression was cold now as if someone had just sprinkled salt on his wound. He didn’t want to think about the reality yet, but the truth was inescapable.
