Chapter 329 You guys really think I’m that kind of person?

Luo Sang was not surprised. After all, the Ye Family had Yu Wen's backing, while Kang Ying's parents were also in the upper echelons of management in the Zhong Zhou Group Corporation. Helping Ye Chuen seek contacts was not out of the ordinary for them. She was a little disappointed, however.

"Fengxing seems to be doing well in the music industry, but your company is good, too. Furthermore, your singing abilities are way better than Ye Chuen's. Don't worry," Luo Sang comforted her.

"I'm not worried about her, I'm worried about you." Yansu explained, "Judging from the last time Auntie Kang pretended to fall, it's quite evident that she is very cunning. Hopefully, what happened recently has already come to a conclusion."

Luo Sang fell silent. For some reason, over the last few days she had felt an ominous sense of foreboding, of gray skies and thunderstorms brewing in the distance.

The two of them parted ways at the school foyer.

When Luo Sang walked into her classroom, the lesson had not yet started. Tang Ning was surrounded by three other girls, and for some reason, they cast mysterious glances at Luo Sang before quickly looking away.

Luo Sang frowned. Initially, she had not thought much about it, but after two days, she realized that her classmates seemed to not be interested in talking to her anymore. Some even ignored her when she asked them questions.

She could sense that she had become an outcast, and she had a vague notion of the reason why. However, she was more concerned about whether Tang Ning had told everyone about the fact that she was Xu Zhengxuan's daughter. If she had done so, then technically, being treated as an outcast would not have been the end of it. Otherwise, it did not seem to fit Ye Chuen's style. Unless they had other motives?

Christmas was getting closer, and Luo Sang expected that rehearsals for the play would have intensified. However, when she arrived at the dance hall for rehearsal at the stipulated time, she found only Yuan Zichu packing up the props by himself.

"Zichu, where are the others? Have they arrived?" Luo Sang asked.

"They left," Yuan Zichu looked up and said, placing the props into a bag. He explained, "We just finished rehearsing."

"Didn't we agree to meet at seven?" Luo Sang was stunned. "Why didn't anyone tell me that the time had been changed?"

"Everyone refuses to listen to you," Yuan Zichu sighed. "I was afraid that you'd wait here all by yourself, so I dawdled to stay behind to tell you."

Luo Sang's expression grew gloomy. She had not rehearsed much with the group over the past few days, but she could sense that she was being ostracized. Therefore, she had made the gesture of treating them to drinks and giving out red packets. She had not expected that her efforts would come to naught.

Nevertheless, it was nice of Yuan Zichu to tell her. "Thank you," she said.

"Luo Sang, to avoid trouble, I think you should tell Professor Lee that you'll be pulling out of the play." Yuan Zichu was evidently uncomfortable. "Everyone's saying that you extorted $3,000,000 from the Ye Family and abused your boyfriend's powers to bully Ye Chuen. The group is unhappy with you, and under Shui Chang's influence, everyone's on her side. They said that if you don't leave voluntarily, they'll tell Professor Lee that as long as you're acting, Shui Chang will not."

Luo Sang chuckled bitterly to herself. Shui Chang was just like rat feces, contaminating the whole pot of rice.

"Although Professor Lee entrusted you with the play, he will not be able to do anything if nobody wants to listen to you." Yuan Zichu continued hesitantly, "I think… you should pull out."

"You guys really think I'm that kind of person." Luo Sang was furious. She could choose to pull out, but voluntarily doing so would show that she had a weak resolve.

"Everyone's saying…" Yuan Zichu hesitated before continuing, "There were some at the party who witnessed the incident. Ye Chuen received no lack of praise. Why would she want to hurt you? Moreover, she had to be on stage herself that day. If she were to have done something to hurt you, wouldn't she have been hurt, too?"
