Anna looked out the window and rubbed her already five month old pregnant belly. "Mom I finished my homework." Annie informed her.
She was already 13 years old and more mature than ever. Anna nodded. " Okay put your things away I will check it later and see if you got the answers right." She responded. " Okay. She leaned in and kissed her brother's tummy. " I'm going to help dad decorate Ethan's room!" She announced and ran up the stairs.
Anna smiled and rubbed her tummy. She continued looking out the window with a smile on her face.
"Mmm you should be in bed." She heard Damon from behind her. She turned around to face him and shook her head. " I won't die by walking around for a bit. Stop being so dramatic." She rolled her eyes thinking of how overprotective he got over the past few months. Damon sighed and half hugged her. " You're so damn stubborn. Let's go and lie down." He told her.
….
" Ugh! You're not the one carrying a child inside so you don't get to tell me where to sit!" Anna childishly complained and sat in the opposite chair to where Damon was. Damon sighed. 'I can't even be close to her without being scolded.' He thought.
Over the last few months of her pregnancy Anna started getting easily irritated. She would throw tantrums over Damon's protectiveness and she would lock herself in the room with Annie and talk with her for hours, completely excluding Damon.
She would refuse to kiss him and would not let him sleep with her. Now he was sure of getting a taste of his own medicine. He had gotten so close to Annie that they even fought her. But now he felt that he was losing his wife.
He missed her teasing chuckles and her remarks. He missed her kisses and her hugs. He had no choice but to ask Annie to stay with his mother for the weekend.
"Don't worry dad. I needed a break anyways. You have saved my life thank you!" Annie told him and ran off with her grandma. She too felt like she needed a break.
….
"Where is she?" Anna asked. "She's with her grandma. It's me and you for the weekend." He told her. " Oh…" Anna replied and walked away.
Damon sighed. "What's wrong baby? Don't you love me?" He questioned. Anna turned around with teary eyes. " Of course I do. But I feel like you shouldn't see me like this." She pouted.
"I'm always composed but now I can't even control my emotions. It's so frustrating." She admitted. Damon sighed and kissed her softly. " I will always love you no matter what. I'm your husband and it's my responsibility to take care of you."
….
"Damon! The baby is coming!" The eight months pregnant Anna shouted. "What?" Damon asked in shock. " I said the baby is coming. Hurry up, let's go to the hospital!" She shouted.
"Right right away." He nervously took the already prepared bag and carried his wife into his car. He then drove off to the hospital as quick as he could.
Inside the hospital Anna kicked everyone out of the room and didn't allow anyone to be inside except the nurses and doctors. This made Damon nervous. Why didn't his wife want him by her side.
Anna did not want to have anyone witness her giving birth and she felt like she needed to be there with her baby and only her baby.
Giving birth to her son Ethan was more painful than she ever imagined but she felt extremely happy when she held her little boy in her arms.
Her eyes winded when she saw the small heart in his hand. The string went all the way down his arm. Anna started sobbing. "It's going to be okay. I will protect you." She mumbled and passed out.
Damon, who heard the news shouted at all the doctors. "What's wrong with my wife? Why isn't she awake? Do you all want to be fired?"
"Damon the doctor already explained that she will wake up soon. She is tired. Now let's go see your son." His mother coaxed him.
….
Damon held Anna's hand in his and sighed. He carried his son in his arms who was sleeping peacefully. He too noticed the same mark on his arm and wrist. The doctors said it must be a rare birthmark but he knew the real reason.
"Wake up honey. Our son will be okay. You don't have to worry we will protect him." He whispered.

In her sleep,
" Master who is he?" Anna asked. He eighteen year old self looked at her master who was trying her in all sorts of martial arts and fighting techniques.
"He is my number one student Damon Collins. For today's lesson you too will be fighting against each other to determine who is the top student." Their master explained. Anna narrowed her eyes.
Damon sent her a nonchalant look and put his hands in his pockets. " He looks like a rich spoiled brat. Are you sure he was trained by you?" Anna asked with a chuckle.
Her master smirked. "That's because you don't know him well." He told her and took his seat. "You guys should warm up I'll just watch." He told them with a grin. He was excited to see who would win.
Damon showed no expression on his face. He looked at the young girl before him and he scoffed. " You are making me fight against a 12 year old?" He asked. Anna fumed. "FYI I'm 18!" She shouted but Damon ignored her.
" She has a baby face." Their master answered with a smirk. Anna scoffed. " See an arrogant spoiled rich brat." She mumbled. " Don't judge a book by it's cover." Damon told her.
Anna raised her eyebrows. "You should take your own advice." She responded. She took her leather jacket off. "Choose your weapon I don't have all day." Damon told her and took off his own jacket.
Anna shook her head. " Arrogant bastard!" She mumbled already annoyed.
