Rachel's eyes suddenly twitched, as she covered her belly with both of her hands and gathered the strength to fight back.

Although it seemed impossible, her hands stopped the backpack and it suddenly hit the ground. Bang!

As it landed, it made a very loud noise.

She discovered that there was nothing but a big old rock in the backpack.

Nobody expected that this woman would march into the hospital and carry a boulder-like rock with her, with the intention of throwing it at Rachel's belly!

"Who are you? Tell me!"

Rachel exclaimed. Her hands felt injured, but that was the least of her worries. She was more concerned with her belly, which seemed as though it was fine. "Excuse me! Hello?"

The petite woman that stood in front of her immediately removed her sunglasses. She stared at Rachel with a furious look on her face. She then said,"Rachel, Did you really think that you could get away with killing my child and that I'd allow you to have yours born after what you did? I bet you thought that you'd never see me again and that I would have forgiven you. However, I'm not letting you get off the hook that easily. I'm telling you, Rachel. You deserve to feel every last bit of pain that I felt!"

Rachel suddenly realized who it was that she was talking to. It was Shirley.

After all this time, Shirley was waiting for her chance to get her revenge. Rachel reckoned that Shirley knew she was always protected by security guards when she left the house. When Shirley found out about Rachel's pregnancy, she was waiting for the right moment to get to her. Today was that very moment. She finally had Rachel to herself.

She thought about pushing her down a flight of stairs, as she wanted Rachel to be as miserable as she was. Although it seemed like a good idea, it was quite impossible to do at the private hospital, which was always secured. Besides that, there weren't even any steps inside the building, to use to her advantage.

"Shirley!" Rachel cried out,"Have you lost your mind? Why do you want to hurt my children? The only reason why you weren't punished the last time, was because of your foster mother, who begged Hiram to show mercy towards you. If you plan on going through with this, you will be digging an extremely deep hole for yourself!"

Rachel began to think that Shirley had a severe psychological disorder. There were no two ways about it.

'The child she bore wasn't even justifiable, to start with. Losing the baby served as punishment for her mistake. How dare she threaten my children now?' Rachel wondered.

"Oh, I see! Now you deem me to have lost my mind? Are you for real? Please don't deny it, Rachel. You were so jealous when I was pregnant with Hiram's baby. I mean, you even pushed me down the stairs to prove it! If it hadn't been for you, I wouldn't have lost my baby!"

Shirley was infuriated with Rachel. She leaned over to pick up her backpack from the ground. Since she couldn't bring anything into the hospital, her only option was a big rock, that she found in the backyard of the hospital's premises, which was very heavy.

Rachel looked at Shirley, as she picked up her black backpack from the ground. She knew that Shirley was serious about hurting her. Before her attempt to throw the stone, Rachel took a step back and stood against the wall. Looki

“Let's go and register our marriage on your birthday!”

Marrying Daniel should have been her best birthday gift, but everything was ruined the moment when she caught him sleeping with another woman on the day before her birthday.

“He’s going to marry that woman! She... was my best friend!"

father died, Rachel lived alone with her mother for a very long time. So, compared to other women, the two of them were much stronger and street smarter, than people thought. Rachel acknowledged that she was a strong woman, and not one to be messed with.

Hiram was shocked when he discovered what happened. He couldn't believe that Shirley would do such a thing. "I'm sorry that I couldn't be there with you today. I will finish up my work here as fast as I can, and go back home with you."

"Okay, but there's no need. You can take your time. Please, don't worry too much about me. I'll be more careful when I'm out and about." Rachel was trying to comfort her husband.

Hiram managed his own business, hence why she could never blame him for not being with her when something went wrong.

Rachel hung up the phone and decided to get up from the examination table. At that moment, Fannie had already entered the room to help her up.

"It was my fault, Rachel. I shouldn't have gone to the bathroom!" Fannie blamed herself and thought that she should have been there to look after her daughter.

Rachel smiled as they made their way to the next room and said,"Mom, I don't think that it is a bad thing to get rid of such underlying trouble so early in my pregnancy.

It's good that it happened now. I imagine that Shirley must have stalked me secretly for a very long time. She was waiting for her chance get me alone, and she did. Luckily, the nurse saw us. Now that she's been removed from our lives, I feel more at ease."

Fannie patted her chest in a cold sweat and said,"You always find a way to look at the bright side, don't you? Anyway, thank goodness it's over and that nothing happened to you. I'm so glad that both you and my grandchildren are safe and sound.

Just a thought though, is Shirley sick? Psychologically, I mean. I mean, she wanted to harm your children. If that's not crazy, then I don't know what is."

Fannie swore as she was very angry with Shirley. Rachel and Hiram were husband and wife. 'How could one woman be so jealous? She must be sick beyond cure. One thing's for sure, if the nurse hadn't caught her in time, today would've turned out much differently, ' she thought.
