Chapter 387 A Spent Arrow

Name:Happy Together Author:Vegetable
Rachel got what he meant right away and glanced at him with a giggle, saying,"No! Your wound isn't completely healed, and it may tear open again. For the sake of your health, please wait until it's totally healed.

Mr. Wolf, you need to do what I ask you to do until the following month. Otherwise, I'll punish you!"

Hiram knotted his brows and laughed to himself bitterly. He shouldn't expect too much and he had thought that his wife finally knew how to make him happy.

"Stop looking at me like that. It's for your own good. You know it!" Rachel said, and noticing his begging puppy eyes, she pinched his sharp nose.

Hiram nodded reluctantly and said,"Alright, alright! I agree! You're always right, honey!"

In the following week, he really stayed at home to rest as he promised. On the other hand, Rachel gave her best to take care of him, cooking for him, staying with him and changing the dressing of his wound.

After a week of good rest, Hiram was much better than before.

Joanna called several times and asked Hiram to stay with them for a couple of days.

Because Fannie lived with them, she thought that it would be awkward for Gavin and her to come for a visit.

Thus, early in the morning that day, Hiram went to his parents' place with Rachel and the twins.

"Jonny! Joyce! My dearest sweethearts! Grandma has been dying to see you!" Joanna screamed with delight the moment she saw the twins. She held them tightly in her arms for a long moment, not wanting to let go. She was beyond words, and just shifted her eyes between Jonny and Joyce.

Rachel was reluctant to come with Hiram, but Hiram told her that she had to face his parents sooner or later because she couldn't avoid them for the rest of her life.

So here she was.

After they had lunch together, Joanna was playing with the twins and Lydia went back to her room.

Gavin and Hiram went to the study upstairs.

Looking at the evidence and photos Hiram just gave to him, Gavin shook his head refusing to believe anything and said,"Tell me, Hiram! What are these for? I don't get it."

Hiram was sitting on the sofa beside the desk with his legs crossed. Glancing at the evidence Luke gave to him, he said,"Dad, please! Don't pretend that you don't know what they are. You just don't want to believe them! It was hard for me to believe at first, but the truth is the truth whether you believe it or not."

Gavin took a photo in his hands. The person on it looked like Lydia, but it was blurred. How could he believe that it was his daughter just based on a blurred photo?

"Listen, Son! I know that you're trying your best to get Rachel out of this mess, and I totally understand. But you can't frame your own sister u

"Do you know what you did wrong? It's alright if you just wanted to own me. But you should not have helped Molly leave me!"

When Brian learns the truth, there is no chance for Hannah to win his heart.

Molly, who wants to run away from Brian, seems to be the only one to blame for Hannah's misfortune...

s right at the door.

She was leaning against the frame, shivering all over herself with her mouth wide-open.

She felt something was wrong when she saw that Gavin and Hiram went to the study after lunch. She struggled for a while in her room and decided to go downstairs to see what was going on there.

Unfortunately, she witnessed how Hiram told their father what she had done.

She could imagine the look in his face as he found out everything.

He learned how she tried to deceive everyone in the family.

She now realized that she was doomed for eternity.

She felt like the clown who was fooled in the very same play that she directed.

"Lydia, what are you doing there?" Rachel asked from behind her.

Jonny and Joyce had gone to take a nap with their grandma. She had nothing else to do and thus decided to go upstairs to find Hiram.

To her surprise, she saw Lydia standing at the study door listening to the two men inside the study.

Lydia was driven to destruction and her anger was pouring out from inside the moment she saw Rachel. Her pretty face turned hideous as if she was going to swallow Rachel alive.

"It's all because of you!

You are the misfortune of my life! If you didn't show up and marry Hiram, it wouldn't have come all the way down to this!

It's all because of you! You're a shameless bitch!"

Rachel retreated back by her desperation and wondered what was the matter with her.

"It's all because of you! You stole Hiram from me!" Lydia screamed desperately and approached Rachel one step after another.

Rachel retreated to the handrails. She found that she had no space to retreat and looked at Lydia horror-struck.

"I'm going kill you, you bitch! I'm going to kill you!" Lydia yelled. She pounced on Rachel and grabbed her neck with both hands.
