So, later that day I met up with Tonks, who just finished her Auror shift.
" Wotcher Aiden, ready to go?"
"Yes, let's go then."
"Right then, hold my hand."
I did so and she Apparated us both. After Apparation, I saw that I was now on a road. In front of me were number 11, Grimmauld place and Number 13, Grimmauld place. Hmm, that odd, why isn't there a number 12 between them? I felt like I was missing something. From the back of my mind, I felt like I knew the reason, but I just couldn't remember.
Seeing the look of intense concentration on my face, Tonks said," No need to think about it so hard. Here read this."
As she said so, she handed the name a piece of paper.
The paper read," Number 12, Grimmauld place is located between Number 11 and Number 13, Grimmauld place."
As soon as I read it, memories about this place came back to. Fidelius charm truly is frightening, even if I knew about this place from before after Dumbledore cast the Fedilus Charm, but I forgot about it as soon as the charm was cast. But as soon as I read the piece of paper, I got my memories of this place back.
In front of me was Number 12, Grimmauld place, Tucked away in northwestern London, a twenty minute walk from king cross station. Both Unplottable and hidden behind a Fidelius Charm, the house is invisible to all but a few. Though the neighbouring Muggles don't even know the building exists, it was for many years home to the Black family — one of the wizarding world's oldest pureblood families, and extremely proud to be so.
It is not without reason that Dumbledore cast the Fidelius and made it Order's headquarter, as soon as Voldemort came back. This house has almost every security measures known to wizardkind. You would be hard pressed to find a place more secure than this, aside from Ministry of Magic and Gringorts bank, obviously.
But, it doesn't mean that I was overly impressed by it, I put better wards, which were custom made by myself along with a Fidelius on my Manor, which I inherited from Canis family. Even the house I was currently residing with Tonks too had better security measures, though not Fidelius, as it would have defeated the whole purpose of me hiding my Manor.
Anyway, I focused back on the present and walked up to the house with Tonks.
She unlocked the magical lock, which was placed on the door and walked inside.
As I wasn't added to the wards yet, I waited outside. Yes, I could easily break through these wards with my status as a master on warding and overabundance of Magical strength. But, it would create unnecessary problems. Besides, Tonks should be working on the issue right now.
Soon, I was proven correct as I felt the wards shift and allowing me to pass. I didn't hesitate and walked directly inside.
As I came inside, I saw the house covered in layers of dust and grime, with Pixy infestation here and there.
Once the luxurious house of the pureblood Black family was now is not in any condition to even live. But, this should be expected, as Dumbledore should have made it the Order's Headquarter and cast Fidelius on it just a few days ago, after the return of the Dark Lord.
I am guessing that it should be in a clean or hospitable state in the upcoming summer. What with Molly Weasley ordering around Harry, Hermione, and Weasley siblings to clean it with her, manually no less.
How the hell did Harry manage to defeat Voldemort in books? What with forcing the Chosen one to clean the house instead of Training him for upcoming danger, I am really surprised he managed to luck out and defeat the more knowledgeable and experienced Dark lord.
Sure Molly had a reason to have them clean the house manually, as there are may dark artefacts scattered all around the house but even then wasting Harry's, the one prophesied to defeat Dark Lord's, time to clean is nothing but aiding the enemy. If they really wanted to die so much, why didn't they just committed suicide, instead of trying to drag whole Magical England with them?
I can't stress this enough that it was only luck that Harry managed to defeat the dark lord.
Sure I could easily destroy Voldemort, but I am sure as hell not going to be the one to kill him. No matter how strong I am, I am not foolish enough to go against the prophecy. Doing so would only invite unnecessary trouble and messing with a prophecy is never a good idea.
My plan is to fight Voldemort directly in front of everyone and beat him up so that he is weak enough for Harry to kill him.
This way not only will my reputation will soar, but even Harry would also know that he couldn't have killed him without me. A win-win situation if I ever heard one.
Like I said, Everything for the greater good. But, for now, it's time for the Cult..... I mean, Order's meeting to start.
