A few days have passed since then. As he was told, Harry came to my office the next day. While I did give him potions for his malnutrition, I just pretend to cast spells on his scar to contain the soul shard. After all, if I remove it, Voldemort won't be able to send him visions and my plans won't come to fruition. So I just told him to continue practicing his occlumancy lessons to contain them. Not like he will be proficient enough in occlumancy to make much of a difference.
During this time I was on high alert just in case, Dumbledore decided to ambush me and tried to remove my memories. But surprisingly enough he hadn't tried anything yet.
On other hand, my classes have been going well enough, students certainly seemed to receive my lectures well. Though I can't say the same about myself. Classes take a massive chunk of my free time, any time spent teaching these idiotic brats is the time less spent on my research. After all, even though I am strong as well as extremely knowledgeable, I have only scratched the true potential of magic. With magic, the possibilities are endless and I am not going to be content with the knowledge I possess about magic anytime soon. I am glad that I only have to waste my time teaching for this year. After I am done with the nuisance that is Voldemort and his death eaters, I can then enjoy my life and research magic to my heart's content.
During the weekend, I did floo to my house to meet Tonks as we weren't able to see each other as often as we would like. While I am busy with my new job as a DADA professor, she has been busy with her duties as an Auror. From what she tells me, Madam Bones has taken my advice about cleaning the ministry of death eater sympathizers to heart. See has already cleared out DMLE and started to work towards the other departments. She has stuck the Aurors that are spies for death eaters on some minor out-of-the-way cases or has them doing useless paperwork. Other Aurors already know to be careful of them and when the situation arises they will easily be taken out. By the time Voldemort reveals himself, she will have identified all the spies and will be in a situation to deal with them swiftly. By that time she will have enough support to remove Fudge from the position of Minister of Magic and take his place.
In the meanwhile, I have been carefully planting suggestions in Umbridge's mind to steer her in the right direction. Already she has started to be a nuisance to both Dumbledore and Snape and sits in all of potion master's classes. Even though she can't fire Snape from his job immediately, she has started to gather the right memories from select few students and has started to slowly build up her case.
Lately, I have been thinking of the whole Horcrux issue. As I already know where they are, it provides me a unique opportunity to use them to my advantage. While I can easily collect Ravenclaw's diadem from the Room of Requirements, I think letting the others stay where they are would be more be better for me. After all, with my sanctum Innis spell, I can destroy Voldemort's soul in the diadem without destroying it.
From what I can tell from the legends about it, Ravenclaw's diadem massively boosts the mental abilities of the user. With it, I may be able to think of finally advancing my magic beyond my current crystal core. Even though I can't find any records of any wizard advancing beyond second magical maturity, it doesn't mean it's not possible. I just have to find a way on my own like I did when I advanced my magical core to crystal instead of the Simple solid core that comes with the second magical maturity.
The only reason I haven't taken Ravenclaw's diadem till now was to give time to my crystal core to stabilize. Now that it's stable, I can finally think about advancing now. For now, I only have a few vague ideas as to how I can proceed further, but nothing concrete. I don't want to risk my magical core on vague ideas, I will only proceed further when I am sure it won't negatively impact my magic. Also, I don't want a simple advancement this time like previous magical maturities and changes in the state of the core because even if I succeed this time, I will have to risk my magic again and again in the future. No, this time I want to advance in a way that afterward I don't have to worry about advancing my magic, it will continue to become stronger on its own indefinitely, without any unnecessary risk on my part.
With Ravenclaw's diadem, I will be able to think much better and expand on my current vague ideas to make a workable plan to go through my advancement without any issues.
