It took a few seconds for Harry to regain his bearing. Semimaris looked pleased by the reaction she got from her master.
"Sorry, you just surprised me. I didn't think I would one day be in the presence of a queen. And I'm sorry to say, I don't know about you either" he said while blushing.
"It is no problem. We will have the time to educate you later."
"Yeah..."
While disturbed by her answer at first, he realised that he could receive teaching from great people from the past. For anyone else, it would be like meeting the founders of Hogwart and being taugh by them. With that in mind, he turned to the other women.
"My name is Caitlyn Steeleglass, from the world of Runeterra. And if it wasn't apparent enough, I'm a marksman" said the dark haired woman as she skillfully spun her rifle.
"The name is Vi, fighter" said the one near the door, with her big mechanical gauntlets and a predator grin.
"Camille Ferros, assassin" said the artificial woman, in the darkest corner of the room. "Since you clearly haven't anything like me in this world, I'll give you some basic explanations. I was born human, and modified with hextech parts to help me better fullfill my duties to my family."
"And what is hextech?"
"It is the combination of technology and magic. Use of magical crystal to power or enhance technological devices." She gestured toward Caitlyn and Vi. "Their weapons are the product of hextech technology."
"... You know, in this world, magic and technology don't mix well. The most advanced technological devices stop functioning in magical areas... This is, incredible..."
Harry had been having a headache since he cast the wandless patronus, and it had only calmed down a little. With 6 new introductions, and the shocking news which accompanied them, it was coming back in full force. He didn't have the mind to nitpick about every little details. The women were here for his protection, that was what mattered.
"Well, since you're here for my sake, I guess I should explain more about my situation. I'm a wizard, student at the magic school Hogwart. I'm known in the magical world as the Boy-Who-Lived for surviving a 1-hit-instant-kill curse when I was 1 year old, and simultaneously defeating the dark lord that had been terrorising the british magical population at that time. The problem is that said dark lord regained a body at the end of my latest year of school, and nobody except a select few believed me, because nobody but me and his loyal followers witnessed the whole event."
He had to pause and massage his forehead. Remembering that night in the graveyard was still an ordeal for him. The summoned heroes looked at him in schock, and even a bit of awe at first. But when they heard the second part, their expressions turned grave. Seeing his face when he said the last part, they understood that things were likely more complicated and painfull than he wanted to talk about at this point.
"Yeah... I need a bath anyway... Ah, Scathach, Xuanzang. Can you put some kind of ward on the room to block tracking spells and the likes? I don't want to be found anytime soon."
They looked at each other and nodded. Harry took his trunk and slowly went to the bathroom. The girls followed him with their eyes, worried about him. With him gone, Caitlyn turned her attention to Scathach.
"What happened when you went to recover his belongings?"
"His relatives truly are unpleasant people. They called us freaks, and I bet they have been calling Harry with such negative terms since he was little. I wanted nothing more than to end his uncle where he stood. But that would only bring more trouble to the him."
Scathach tightened her fists as she said that. Near the door, Vi growled and muttered some not nice things under her breath. She had been the one to help carry Dudley.
"When he explained what happened, messengers owls came one after the other. The first was from their ministry of magic, saying that he had been expelled from his school and his wand would be snapped for using magic in front of a muggle. I guess what they call muggle are non-magical people. Apparently, they only detected the patronus charm he used to repel the creatures, the dementors. The disgusting creatures feed of off the good memories and feelings of their victims and make them relive their worst memories. Their final attack consist of kissing their victims to suck out their souls. It's called the Dementor Kiss, and it's even used as a form of execution for criminals."
The girls shivered at the mention of the dementors. To them, they were truly foul creatures, and it certainly was no coincidences that they were in his neighborhood and attacked him.
"The Patronus charm is the only spell known to have any significant effects on them. We were lucky that Harry knew that spell, else we probably wouldn't be here. The dementors are supposed to be under ministry control. Either the ministry, or someone in the ministry is after him, or this Dark Lord already has minions in the ministry doing his biddings. Either way, Harry can't trust the ministry."
The rest of the girls nodded in agreement.
Caitlyn nodded and summed the situation for everyone:
Their charge was targeted by a powerfull dark wizard that had already tried to kill him when he was a toddler. The ministry of magic was moving against him. He wasn't on good terms with the people that were supposed to be his allies, seemingly due to incompetence and/or neglect.
A few of them growled while the others narrowed their eyes. There was alot of work to do ahead for them. The 2 casters collaborated to create a bounded field around the room, following the instructions of their masters. The food was delivered soon after, and Harry would need it to recover from his efforts.
