More than twenty minutes later, Maka finally ate his breakfast today.
"Well, the jam tastes good today." he smiled at Hermione as he smeared it on the bread. "Please come this way."
I don't know if it's the relationship between Maka's rule force and the light column the other night. To be honest, the weather today is surprisingly good.
He opened the curtains in the office, and the sun poured in from the outside, making the whole room soaked in clean and warm pale gold.
Compared with the dry heat in the fireplace, the warmth of the sun always brings a strange beauty.
Suddenly, Maka asked with bulging cheeks:
"By the way, what questions did you ask me just now? It's also related to Muggle science?"
"Oh, that's right..."
The girls didn't really come to him to ask questions. It was mostly just an excuse - at least Hermione thought so.
So when Marca mentioned it, she suddenly remembered it.
"Professor bubagi encountered a difficulty," Hermione explained. "She originally wanted to use the 'steam engine' as the Muggle research theme of this Christmas event, but it was much more difficult to understand than she thought, so she didn't finish it until the last day..."
"So you went to help her?" Marca looked at Luna with a subtle expression. "Didn't you make trouble for the professor?"
The latter immediately raised her hands above her head, and her arms twisted strangely over her head like soaked spaghetti.
"The professor said it could emit heat!" Luna imitated. "Look, I guess that's about it - but I remember that Muggle 'machines' can't be used in the school. I don't think the professor has been successful. Is that the reason?"
"Oh, I see... Put your hands down first!"
Maka shook her head in tears and laughter. Then she said to Hermione, "what do you think?"
Hermione couldn't help shrugging her shoulders when she heard it.
"I don't know..." she said, thinking again, and then changed her mind. "Well, I mean - I don't understand the principle that Muggle products can't be used in school, and I'm not very clear about the structure of the steam engine, so I can't express my views and opinions casually."
"Oh," Marca couldn't help laughing, "your answer is very scientific."
Then he threw the rest of the bread into his mouth, patted the crumbs on his hands and stood up.
"Come on, let's go and have a look."
If you stay here, it will affect the direction of the topic sooner or later because of what happened last night. In order to avoid everyone getting into the dilemma of what to say or not, Maka simply followed the matter to relax, so he said vaguely and walked to the door.
When he came to the door, he just glanced back at his desk - there are still a lot of materials on it at the moment! But soon, he took back his eyes and stopped looking.
"Come on!"
Greeting Hermione and Luna to leave together, the three talked casually and soon came to the Muggle research professor's office where caretti bubagi was located.
In fact, as far as the two girls said, Maka naturally knew it long ago. After all, when Professor bubagi took out the design drawing, he was the first person to see it.
However, when Marca saw the brass metal monster in the other party's office, he only felt whether he had remembered something wrong.
"Is this... 'steam engine'?"
To tell you the truth, it was a real "monster".
The huge barrel was placed in the middle, and there were twists and turns of copper pipes around it. More than a dozen pull ropes that didn't know what they were doing stretched out from many copper columns, drooping powerlessly one by one.
Behind these messy things, a wheel larger than the middle bucket is placed there. The overall feeling is like a fat beetle carrying a wheel larger than itself.
"Yes, this is the steam engine!"
Professor bubagi put down her tools. She first rubbed her forehead with the back of her hand, and then greeted her happily, regardless of the fact that her face was already covered with all kinds of oil.
"Look at it, isn't it great?" she said happily, and then said with a little regret, "unfortunately, I haven't been able to make it work."
Maka looked at this big "Steampunk" guy and felt a little strange for no reason - even Merlin didn't know how the professor created this look with a specific design!
"Yes, it's great."
"Thank you, thank you..." bubagi nodded and then turned to say, "Oh, this is... Well, did little Luna invite you to help?"
"Yes! I looked for Hermione, and then Hermione and I looked for Maka... I really want to see it steaming before the holiday!"
As Luna answered, she began to raise her hands and shake her arms. Only then did Maka know that this somewhat stupid and cute action was not originally created by Luna!
Because Ms. bubagi was happier than Luna to imitate the scene of steam rising.
"I don't think I can stand it..." Hermione stood next to Marca, lowered her voice and said softly, "Marca, can you find a way to stop them from doing this again?"
But instead, Maka said:
"You know what? If it weren't for tonight, everyone would go back and enjoy the Christmas holiday. I'm actually more worried that it would become popular in Hogwarts!"
Hermione suddenly felt a chill when she heard him say so.
No way, this action is really a little too magical.
"Cough... Anyway, let's see what's going on first!"
Instead of taking care of Luna and bubagi's "steam imitation show", Maka quickly passed by the pair of living treasures and came to the big guy called "steam engine" by bubagi.
In fact, Maka's height is not high, but she is not short. But now standing next to this machine, it's like a goblin of the ancient Lingge walking to an adult.
"Bang -"
He bent his fingers and knocked on the big drum in the middle - fortunately, at least it was empty.
Then Maka made another turn around the big guy and confirmed that at least both ends of the copper pipe were firmly connected.
According to the original design drawing spread out on one side, there seems to be nothing wrong with the the pipeline except that the pipeline layout is very strange.
But when he made another turn, he found a key problem.
"Professor bubagi, where's its boiler?" Maka turned back and asked, "where did you heat it?"
When bubagi saw him asking, he was interested again.
She stopped shaking her arms with Luna, hurriedly came to Maka, pointed to the design drawing and said:
"The function of the boiler is just to heat the barrel, but you know, Muggles used to burn coal so that the whole of London turned black - so I thought, since we are wizards, why not just replace it with a more environmentally friendly magic flame?"
Speaking of this, she seemed to feel that it was not enough to explain by mouth alone. Suddenly she stretched out her hand and pulled a pull rope.
With her pulling, a lid was automatically unscrewed, revealing a small copper tube connecting the giant barrel.
"Look, according to the design drawing, the first step is to put some water here -" bubagi pointed to Maka, then took out his wand and pointed to the pipe orifice. "Clear water is like a spring."
After pouring some water into it, bubagi pulled the pull rope again and screwed the lid back.
"Then there was a fire..."
Maka looked at her and wanted to show herself on the spot. She quickly blocked her from continuing.
Although he didn't know the specific design requirements of this thing, he still remembered that it would explode, and the power of explosion was not small.
"Professor bubagi, the 'steam engine' will explode. I think we'll gradually..."
Before Maka finished, she stopped quickly. Because he inadvertently found that at the moment when bubagi planned to light the fire, Luna quickly hid behind her desk.
Then he was stunned, then hesitated and said, "do you say... You've bombed once?"
Bubagi looked at Maka and showed a particularly bright smile. But before she could speak, Luna, hiding behind the table, leaned out her head and whispered:
"Five times --"
"Professor bubagi," Maka immediately turned her head and said seriously, "I sincerely suggest that the manufacturing of steam engine should stop first! I'm afraid that people have been carried to Mrs. Pomfrey before your things have been made..."
Luna then said:
"The professor has been there three times -"
"As like as two peas, Luna, come here!" shouted macmari at her side. "No more time, unless professor Bubagi can create something exactly the same as this one."
When she got back here, Maka said to Hermione again:
"There's nothing I can do about this' steam engine '. I think we'd better go back!"
Before the words fell, he hurried out with the two girls, but bubagi's voice with a little excitement came from behind——
"Hey! Don't go! I don't think it will explode this time. Believe me! Don't go..."
Maka still remembers that Ms. bubagi was originally a very gentle witch, but unexpectedly, she became so excited and enthusiastic when she did her favorite research.
It seems that Muggles always think of the image of "an old witch stirring poison and smiling grimly" when they talk about the word "Wizard". It's really not unreasonable.
After leaving bubagi's office, Maka and the two women strolled around the activities they had never been to, and the time passed quickly.
