The class slowly trickled in and so did the noise, getting louder by the second. I stood up from my desk and stared at the class until they quieted down.
I noticed two empty seats, though said nothing. Whether or not someone wanted to be in my class had nothing to do with me.
"Is there any questions as of today?" I asked the class.
A girl with dark mousy colored hair that curled to her bosom and thick framed glasses raised her hand. She wore white dress which contrasted with her slightly tan skin tone as well as her dark eyes.
'Name: Hasna Mikhail
Race: Almi'raj
Skill: Deducing'
"Where were you yesterday?" she asked.
"Home," I responded and then rephrase my question, "what would any of you like to learn today?"
"What is the rarest species?" Elizabeth asked curiously.
"I mean like, what is the species most likely to go extinct?"
"The Kikimora."
"....um, what's that?" she asked.
"A species that's nearly extinct."
"I mean-"
"She means that can we learn about the species that are about to disappear from the face of the Earth. Go in depth so that her pretty little heart can weep over them," a sardonic voice sounded.
'Name: Andrea Banks
Race: Serpent
Skill: Death Glare
Rank: Basilisk'
"Andrea!" the person sitting beside her said in a loud whisper.
'Name: Alexander Vasiliev
Race: Vedmak
Skill: Potions and Poisons
"What? I'm just telling the truth," she said, not even bothering a whisper.
"Yeah! But you didn't have to do it like that!" Alexander told her before turned to the class saying, "please ignore us."
"The Kikimora is one of the rarer races, once abundant," I told the class before the squabble could escalate, "they have many names, night hag, nightmare are just to name the more common ones. If awakened, they are what you call a Banshee.
"I suppose few of you have heard them?" I asked the class.
When they nodded I said, "then would any of you like to list some of their skills?"
When no one wanted to raise their hands, for one reason or another, I continued speaking saying, "their most renowned skill is eating nightmares, rarely dreams. Naturally fearful, if their level of fear drops below a certain level, they become banshees capable of creating masacres."
"If you were to talk about a rare species, that isn't endangered, then that would be a vampyre. Do you have a question, Elizabeth?"
"Umm, aren't vampires dangerous?" she asked with confusion, "I mean like, they aren't rare, right? Or like uh....."
"There are two different vampires, and they are spelled differently. One is with an I and the other with a Y. However, they are slightly different. Would anyone like to elaborate?"
"That's simple, one's pretty and the others ugly," Wayne lazily said said, making the class chuckle a little
"Close," I said, "the few differences is that one is living while the other's dead. Have you heard of the fountain of Death?"
"Doesn't that grant immortality?" someone in the middle row asked.
"Yes, but in death. However, if they drank from the spring of immortality while bearing a child, the child will be born with immortality. But, sometimes the granting of immortality in life is kept hidden, quite like a recessive gene, and will only appear at a certain point in a generation."
Hearing the ring of the bell signifying the end of class I said, "we will continue this discussion tomorrow if needed."
