Chapter 8

They arrived at her home, Alaska opened the car's door for Wang Mei Zen. He helped her out from the car, then he looked at her with expectations to be invited inside.

Wang Mei Zen ignored his glances, and says, "Thank you for sending me home, I'll take my leave then."

She turned her heels and walked to her house front door and search the key.

Alaska couldn't believe his ears, is she playing with him?!

He walked silently towards Wang Mei Zen who was still rummaging her bag to search for the house keys.

He put his left hand at the door, next to Mei Zen's head (kabedon), one hand still in his trousers pocket. He brought his faces closer to the girl's back, and blow her neck.

Wang Mei Zen, who finally founded the key, jumped in fright from goosebumps she got. She robotically turned her head, only found herself trapped between Alaska's arm. Her brain couldn't process the situation she's in, it was as if she is frozen in place.

"What a day! I was thinking of going to have fresh air, but I've got to see shameless act of young people instead!!" A voice of an old man sighed, "Really shameless!" Then the passing old man went on with his evening walk after scorning the two.

Mei Zen is really speechless by now. She touches her lips and felt tingling feeling on it. She couldn't describe what she's feeling right now. Her mind is full of strange thoughts.

She shook her head and opened her house's door, planning on how to overthrow the damned household that occupied her nest... or just destroy it?

Her body plopped down on the couch as she is deep in thoughts. She looked at the calendar, and smiling slightly.

"Now... should I just destroy the world?" she smiles chillingly at the calendar as she said these words. There's a slight crazy glint in her eyes that makes people shudder.

The week after, Alaska already gotten the information all about the woman, he frowned, his eyes showed anger. He then looked at the project that the woman had sent to him recently. A research project, called Lazarus project.

He furrowed his brow at the novelty of the content in it.

The research base is in the woman's country, looking at its content, it also contain another novel thing, that is.... awakening superpower. The thing is that.. the test subject of this superpower project is the woman herself. and this one is already had its fluid done, just waiting to be injected to test subject.

He frowned, cussed, "Crazy woman." He said but soon smirked, "Yet, interesting. Seems like life is not so boring after all." thinking that other people would be very interested in these two projects, he smiled helplessly, then he proceeded to place his stamp on the project funding request.

He swirled the glass of wine on his hands, "Now, let's prepare for other things."

He knew what she's trying to do but instead of stopping her, he support her. Blame her, she got him interested already. Let's just hope she won't die in the medical table. He smiles and dialed a number, once the number connected he says, "Your sister really fascinating."

Didn't know what other side of the phone said, Alaska smiles brilliantly, "Don't worry, she's my fiancee after all. I'll fulfill her."

She looked at the time and walked towards the balcony, breathing the dewy morning air. She turned her phone into speaker mode as she press the receive call buŧŧon, "--The big fishes has been caught in net, Young Miss. We are waiting for your order."

She smiles brilliantly. The maternal family of hers as she estimated, they immediately followed other big families's step to join the funding. They even give her her whole ȧsset without knowing, she sneered. This is why you should always read the contract before signing it.

No, she only dug a pit on her maternal family, the clauses in the funding request had been manipulated. She sneered at their carelessness. This was why her family's ȧsset is having deficiency as time passed by.

"Uses those money to prepare for all food necessities, all weapons, medications in warehouses. Prepare others as well. "

"Understood." then she ended the call.

She smiles as she couldn't wait to see them struggle like rat after these Lazarus project is done.

She took a bath and went to her own underground lab. Many tubes are inside, there's also a creature inside. A mermaid. It's another private project that she had done on her own. She found the remains of mermaid by chances when she accompanied the archeologists by impression to lift her 'painting block'. she then proceed to sneakily bring back the mermaid remains, of course not before she posted a quite large amount of funding to the archeologists team.

She nodded in satisfaction as she looked at the restored body of the mermaid using re-humanified liquid. The mermaid had a sharp jawline, his teeth--no, fangs are really sharp but didn't hinder it's beauty. His eyes shut but she could tell he had a beautiful eyes from the outline of its faces, sharp nails, thin lips, long blueish dark long hair, fish tail, and a pair fins as ears.

She looked at the creature in worry as she thought about her plan, 'Maybe I should also give it a shot of superpower so that it could survive on surfaces?'

She put on her lab jacket, mask, glasses, and gloves. She put the strange substances container into the system and proceed to allocated the substance into the mermaid's system, she also had store some information about this era into its brains. yeah, brains. it has 2 brains. She shuddered of the memory.

she looked at the vital signs of the mermaid and showed that it looks like a hazard as soon as the substance was injected.

She hurriedly shot a sedative through its neuro systems. She sighed as the vital signs lay dormant again. Seems like she still need to modify the substances.
