"Hey, what are you doing?" I shout at him and other people. "This is my house. Is there any law in this nation or not? Can anyone break my house like this?"
"40 seconds." He looks at his watch.
"Answer me." I glare at him. "Are you not afraid of the law? I will send you to prison for this."
"35 Seconds." He has a smile on his bastard face. "Kamiyama family will take responsibility."
"What?" He is saying those same words again. "Are you ready to go to prison?"
"We will pay for the rebuilding this house and any other damage that the Kamiyama family has caused to the victim." His eyes are fixed on his watch. "25 seconds."
"The F.U.C.K!" I cuss loudly. I hear some gasps from the crowd. Why? Never heard of a woman cuss before?
"We will give you a well-paying job suitable for the victim and a temporary place to stay until the house is rebuilt." He raises his other hand in the air. "15 seconds."
Shit. He is serious. I can't take the risk. I run inside the house and grab my laptop and phone. What else? I look around. Argh!
"3." I hear him yell. "2.1."
The wrecking wall rocks the wall. I lie down on the floor again. These walls are already old. What if my house collapses on me? When it swings back out, I run with all my might. I guess I won't die today.
"Finish this quickly," He tells them.
I call the cops.
Me: "Hello, someone is breaking my house."
Cop: "You mean, someone is breaking into your house?"
Me: "No, someone is BREAKING my house. Please come quickly. I only have one place to live in this entire world."
Cop: "Okay, we are coming as fast as we can. Can you tell us your address."
Me: "Third house on N Street, District A."
His face doesn't show any change when he hears me talking to the cop. He is calmly looking at the destruction. My heart is breaking. My safe haven. My childhood. My home. My grandparents' house. What is wrong with this man? When did I wrong him? The cops are taking time. If he continues, there will be nothing left.
"Stop this." I grab his arm. "What do you want from me?"
He signals them to stop the demolition. "If you sign this paper, I will stop it."
He gives me a paper. I start to read them. The legal language seems like voodoo to me. I frown at the words. I know the programming languages, but I can't understand these words well. I have a weak vocabulary. These words are too complicated. I need to download a dictionary. I look for my phone.
"I don't think that you have the time." He gives me a pen. "If you don't sign them in the next five seconds, I will completely demolish your house."
"What is written on these papers?" I ask him.
"You are formally cutting all the ties with the Kamiyama family." He answers me curtly.
That's what I want. I look at the half-broken house and sign the paper.
"Thank you." He takes them back. The cops arrive at that exact time and look at the broken house. Is this a coincidence?
"Who called us?"
"Me." I raise my arm. "This man broke my house."
The young cop studies me. Then, he looks at Kamiyama. "Is she speaking the truth?"
"Yes." He gives them the paper. "She asked me to break it."
Wait, what? F.u.c.k!
"I.DID.NOT." I shout at them.
The cop reads the paper to confirm. "Miss, it is written here that you agree with the terms of the Kamiyama Groups. You will let them rebuild this house because of the psychological damage that they have caused you. You are also joining their main company as a junior assistant in the fashion department. Until your house is rebuilt, you agree to stay at Kamiyama main house."
What the actual f.u.c.k!
"I don't want anything from them." I understand my predicament now. A passed away moment cannot come back. That ink can't be erased from that paper. "I take it back. I don't want to get involved with them. I don't want them to take any responsibility."
The cop looks at me like I have gone mad. "If you refuse the contract now, you have to go to prison. You will lose this house to the Kamiyama groups."
