Chapter 182 - Man must take responsibility for their actions

He closes his mouth. His mother suffered too. She was bullied brutally when she was in school. It left her traumatized for a long time. She lived with a severe eating disorder and trust issues.

He learned everything about her in his past life.

If he bullies Yuki, isn't he the same? Can he forgive her and let her go?

No matter what his mother tells him, he can't forgive her.

He wasn't a saint in his past life. He isn't a saint after rebirth either.

But, he will find out the reason. Why did she do it? Rather, why did she approach him in the first place? Was it revenge? Was she sent by someone to kill him? Usually, people would tell the reason when they are killing someone for revenge.

There was no guilt in those eyes. She looked at him the same way she looked at him when she made love to him. Did she think about killing him each time she held him? If she was sent by someone to kill him, why did she bring him to this village? Her childhood home is here.

Most importantly, why is she living like a boy? Everyone around her believes that she's a boy. There's no way that her family members wouldn't know. Even Yuki's mother believes her to be a boy. Of course, Yuki is a female. He slept with a woman in his past life, not a man.

Is he wrong about Yuki? Did he sleep with a woman who was previously a man?

His expression turns ugly. He will kill her for sure if she did that to him. She should have just killed him instead of using those tactics.

Wait!

He squints his eyes. She had monthly days. She made him buy A woman who was previously a man wouldn't have monthly days. He knows that much about females.

Phew! Yuki is a female.

Her son has gone silent after hearing her words. She can tell that he's thinking about Yuki. Yuki must be pretty important to him.

She must find out. That person might harm her son again.

She can't ask him who it is.

"Make decisions after you know all the cards," Rie tells him. He will understand. Her kid is pretty smart, but he's also born with her and her husband's flaws. "Sometimes, people make the wrong decisions because they have never known what the right ones are. They believe what they know to be right. Only certain colors exist in their world because life experiences have blinded to other colors. My son, you have to take away the blindfold if you must."

Yuta stares at her, absorbing all the words. He wonders if she said similar words to him in his past life. He doesn't have these kinds of memories because it's been too long.

She died when he was five. After his rebirth, he couldn't recognize her right away. If Yuki hadn't killed him, he wouldn't be here. He hates her for betraying him, but he received a priceless gift after his death. He would die again to come back here.

It's funny that he's feeling thankful to his murderer. But, it wasn't his murderer who gave him a second life.

"Before that, you have to open your eyes and see the colors in your life. Some colors fade until there's nothing left." She continues, "The emptiness is not always bad. If the old colors that serve no meaning in our lives, they must vanish for the new colors to fill in the empty spaces."

Should he forget about his hate? The hate won't fade away. There are spaces for the colors that his parents will give him, but there are also colors that refuse to fade. He doesn't want them to fade.

But... His mother is right. He needs to know all the cards before he deals with Yuki. She's living a lie at the age of six. Whatever her reasons were, it must have started here. That's why Yuki brought him here before she killed him.

"I will do as you say, Mother," Yuta mumbles, lowering his head.

Rie smiles and hugs him. In front of her, he acts like a child. No, he's a child. For her, he will always be her child. "My son is growing up fast. What should I do? I want to hold him like this for a long time."

"You are imagining it, Mother." Yuta wraps his arms around her neck. "I am still the same size."

Kiyohira has been watching them silently. He chuckles when he hears Yuta. "Mother and son keep forgetting me."

"Shoo!" Rie waves her hand. "You are not needed. Go away."

He rolls his eyes. "How will you give him a sister if I am not here?"

"You are growing more shameless every day." She shakes her head and laughs.

Yuta sighs. They are starting again. At least, she won't send him to pre-school now.

"I am nothing compares to you when it comes to shamelessness." Kiyohira runs his fingers through his hair. "Do you still want me to contact the pre-school?"

"Father!" Yuta looks at him with horror. "You are supposed to be on my side."

His father knows that he's a grown man. How can he sit with the other four years olds? Going to school for formality once was enough. Can't just get homeschooled if he must have education for formality?

"Yes, he must go to school and learn to make friends." Rie smiles widely at Yuta. "Maybe we should send him to the same place where Yuki goes. I will call his mother."

"No." Yuta shakes his head. "Mother, I will never fight again. Please don't punish me this way."

"Son, you shouldn't have provoked someone." Rie pinches his cheek. "If you didn't provoke that kid, my laptop wouldn't have been destroyed."

"I am sorry, Mother." Yuki grabs her leg, throwing away his dignity. "You can't send me there. Father, help me."

Kiyohira shakes his head. "Man must take responsibility for their actions."

"Father, you are betraying me. You were supposed to have my back." Yuta hated going to school in his past life. Maddox forced him to go to cultivate communication skills and learn more about people. In this lifetime, his parents are forcing him to go to make friends. Why does this only happen to him?

Looking at those watery eyes, Kiyohira gives in. He turns to his wife. "Rie, I think, we should wait a few years before we --"

"No, he's going." Her son needs a normal childhood. Also, he needs to make friends. There's no reason why he can't make friends with other kids. If he can wrestle with one, he can also befriend one. Also, she wants to see him in cute uniforms. "Yuta will attend school. Get him registered for one."

This is happening because of that witch. Yuta curses Yuki with all his heart. Why did she have to destroy the laptop? Was killing him not enough? He has to go to school because of her.

Rie looks at the number. She can't recognize it. She nods at Kiyohira before picking up the call. This time, the shared look isn't missed by Yuta. Kiyohira picks up her son and walks out of the house.

"Who is calling?" Yuta asks.

Kiyohira looks at him. There are somethings that Rie and Kiyohira have decided on. They want their son to have a normal childhood. They want to raise him into a man who understands the value of human life. Most importantly, they will do everything to give him the love and care to make up for both lives. "It might be Nina."

Yuta frowns. "Why is she calling Mother?"

"She has Ren." Though they have decided on those things, there is still a fact. Yuta is a grown man in a child's body.

After hearing that, Yuta rubs his forehead. "Father, Nina killed Ren in my past life."

Kiyohira widens his eyes. "In this life too?"

"We have to find them as soon as possible." Yuta slumps his shoulders. He tried to change things, but somehow the circ.u.mstances are leading to the same outcome. Will it be the same for his parents and him?
