115 Confusion

I slowly wake up to raindrops falling on my face but when I open my eyes, I see nothing but a dark grey sky. I stare up at the sky for a few moments before slowly sitting up. I look around at the few large trees and open fields with confusion.

Where am I? And... who am I? I reach up and grip my head as I struggle to grasp what's happening. I feel like something important is hovering just out of reach... I slowly push myself up off the ground and look around with worry.

Soft thunder rolls in the distance as I reach up and wipe my face. When I pull my hand back, I see gold liquid all over it. Confused, I look down at my clothes to see that I'm covered it in. What in the hell...

"Eris!" I hear someone yell, instantly startling me. I jump and look up to see a man with dark black hair and red eyes running to me. I put my hands up and stumble back a few steps until he slows down with a concerned look on his handsome face.

Wait... he seems familiar... A large dark figure appears before shrinking down into a black, fluffy cat. "I told you she was out! Why aren't you answering? I've been calling you for the last ten minutes!!" The black cat says in anger but the man puts his hand out and says "Something's wrong."

The cat is talking... my head starts to hurt as I feel like this is all somehow familiar. The man takes a small step forward and says "Eris... are you okay? Are you hurt?" I reach up to my head, cringing at the pain. When I look back up, tears threaten to fall as pain slices through me.

I fall to my knees and hold my head as images and memories come flooding back. Kian yells out something as he runs to my side but I can't hear anything over the massive headache I was currently trying to survive.

Kian places his hands on both sides of my head and releases a calming power, easing the pain a bit before it stops altogether. I collapse against him and say "That sucked..." Kian looks down at me with fear and concern before scooping me up and carrying me away.

Did I seriously just forget who I am!? I lean my head against his warm chest and before I know it, we're back home. I thought I'd never see it again... Kian puts me down on the crouch before reaching up and pushing the hair away from my face.

His red eyes are full of concern and fear as he tries to wipe the golden blood off me. I try to grab his hands as I say "I'm fine now. I think I just got hit a little too hard. I'm sorry if I scared you two." Binx jumps up on the coffee table and watches me silently, tail swishing back and forth before asking "How and why are you covered in Dragon blood?"

Kian freezes and looks to Binx before looking back to me with horror. I give them a crooked smile as I say "I ate him." They both look at me in complete silence so I say "And now he's gone. Maybe that's why I forgot everything..."

Binx narrows his eyes on me and asks "Gone? How?" I lean back on the couch, grateful for the comfort as I say "Enzo wanted me to bring him out. I refused. He got pissed and threw me down in the tunnels with the big bad Dragon. I wanted to make nice but the Dragon didn't. I ripped the Dragon's heart out and ate it. Then we became friends before breaking out of hell. I'm hungry... is there anything to eat or can we order pizza?"

Binx's kitty mouth drops open in shock before saying "You just ate a Dragon's heart and now you want PIZZA!?" I give him a tired smirk as I say "I worked up an appetite while eating something that big. Plus, it's making me feel a little funny. I figured pizza would fix everything." Kian deflates and lays his head on my needs, face down.

I reach out and hesitate before touching his soft black hair. It's softer than Binx's fur... I gently run my fingers through his hair as I whisper "I'm sorry I scared you." He lifts his head and looks up at me with a blank face before asking "What kind of pizza do you want?"

I feel myself smiling from ear to ear as I say "The biggest one they have."

Halfway through my pizza, the doorbell rings. I look up with a frown before Kian sighs and says "It's the police officer. He's been coming every day, looking for you. I'm pretty sure he thinks I've killed you and devoured your soul or something..."

Kian gets up and walks to the door so I go back to my pizza and two-liter of soda. It was good to be back... I hear Kian say something before Harris walks into my kitchen with his hand on his gun. When we lock eyes, I have half a pizza sliced stuck in my mouth, still covered in golden blood but I give him a small wave and point to the pizza.

Harris looks me over with confusion before taking his hand off the gun and cursing "Where the hell have you been, Hallows!? I've been looking for you everywhere! I almost shot this demon asshole thinking he killed you!"

I snicker a little when Kian walks in with a dry look on his face. I swallow the large clump of cheesy goodness before saying "Hell, is exactly where I've been and Kian here saved my life... more than once but I'm back now and loving life. Are you sure you don't want a piece of pizza? It's really good."

Kian smirks and shakes his head before sitting back down at the table while Harris looks me over again. "Uh-huh... hell... like hell, hell?" I take another bite of pizza and nod my head causing Harris to frown.

"What's all over you?" Harris asks with confusion. I talk around the pizza in my mouth to say "Dragon blood. Has anything happened while I was gone?" Harris's face takes on a look of disbelief before saying "Yes, the demon in the cloak has been killing more and more people. Chaos is breaking out everywhere and it's starting to spread to other cities. It won't be long before it starts spreading to other states."
